Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

Patrol of US and Iraqi puppet forces targeted by Iraqi Resistance bomb in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a joint patrol of US and Iraqi puppet army forces in the al-Jazirah area of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that fire and thick black smoke rose from the area where the attack occurred, but the nature and extent of US casualties were not known.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance bombards US base near al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into one of the US bases in the al-Haqlaniyah area, near al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Haqlaniyah as saying that the Resistance bombardment sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky after the explosions shook the area. In recent days, al-Hadithah has been the scene of fighting between US troops and Iraqi Resistance fighters.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance attacks puppet “National Guard” headquarters in al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:35am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the headquarters in the al-Bu Niyab district near al-Khalidiyah came under mortar barrage and then directly afterwards, Resistance fighters assaulted the facility with pipe rockets and light and medium weapons, killing three Iraqi puppet “Guards” and wounding three more. Afterwards, the Resistance men withdrew having suffered no losses of their own.

Al-Fallujah.

Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in al-Fallujah Sunday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that he bomb went of on al-Jadid Street by a US column on Sunday evening. The explosion totally destroyed a US Humvee, killing its crew of four US troops. The Americans in the column responded by opening fire indiscriminately and then closed the street and surrounding area.

Resistance eliminates puppet council chairman in al-Fallujah Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 10:43am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assassinated the chairman of the local puppet council in the city of al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet council as saying that Resistance men armed with light machineguns attacked the home of the puppet official in the al-‘Askari district of the city and shot and killed Najm ‘Abdallah Mas‘ud al-‘Isawi and his son ‘Irfan at 6:30pm local time Sunday afternoon. Both were taken to the Talib al-Jannabi hospital nearby but died before reaching the facility.

Al-‘Isawi, a lawyer was 50 years old and took on the job of heading the puppet council about one year ago after his predecessor Shaykh Kamal Shakir was assassinated. Al-‘Isawi belonged to the al-Bu ‘Isa Tribe, one of the largest tribes in the al-Fallujah area.

Baghdad.

US carrying out mass arrests in al-‘Amiriyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:48pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment US occupation forces were raiding and searching houses and arresting people in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops had so far arrested more than 20 people, among them an elderly Shaykh named al-Hajj Na‘im ‘Abdallah, the muezzin in the Muluki Mosque in al-‘Amiriyah.

Salah ad-Din Province.

Bayji.

US troops carry out searches, arrests in Bayji, as-Siniyah after the heads of 11 officers of Iraqi puppet army and police were found on Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:45pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces imposed a curfew on the towns of as-Siniyah and Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad.

The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the curfew was imposed after 11 severed heads of officers in the Iraqi puppet army and police were discovered in a cardboard box in the market on Saturday, 23 September. US troops declared a curfew beginning at dawn Monday, banning cars and pedestrian traffic from the streets of Bayji and the nearby refinery area of as-Siniyah. US forces then began raiding and searching houses, storming into more than 40 residences and arresting 15 local residents.

Babil Province.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

Resistance bombards Jaysh al-Mahdi militia headquarters in al-Mahmudiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:58pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired fifteen 62mm and 82mm mortar rounds into the al-Qa‘qa‘ residential area that the Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia have taken over and turned into their headquarters in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that plumes of smoke could be seen rising from within the complex as explosions shook the area. Dozens of Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian gunmen were killed or wounded in the barrage.

Ninwa Province.

Al-Mawsil.

Three Resistance bombs blast three US patrols in different parts of al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded simultaneously by three US patrols in al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the first bomb went off in the at-Tahrir neighborhood in northern al-Mawsil and the second in the al-Karamah neighborhood in the east of the city. The third bomb exploded in the al-Maliyah neighborhood near the al-Mutamayizat secondary school on the left (northeast) bank of the Tigris River in the city.

Witnesses said that the three patrols suffered heavy damage but no details on the nature or extent of casualties were available because US troops imposed a high security cordon around the areas where the attacks took place and prevented anyone from approaching.

Tall ‘Afar.

Resistance blasts puppet police stations in Tall ‘Afar with mortars Sunday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:15am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded two puppet police stations in Tall ‘Afar, west of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq at 10:30pm local time Sunday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the Resistance fired several mortar rounds into the puppet police station in al-Muthanna at 10:30pm local time Sunday night. The source said that at the same time the puppet police directorate in as-Salam was struck by a barrage of Resistance mortar shells as well.
