●前アフガニスタン首相でヒジブ・イスラム党の党首、グルブディン・ヘクマチアルは、彼の党にはアフガニスタンから外国軍を撃退するに十分な武装戦士がいると言った。
彼のよく訓練された軍隊はアフガニスタン中に展開しており、適当な時期に地域から簡単に米国軍隊を追い払うことできるとインターナショナル・ニュース・エージェンシーに話した。
彼はまた、米国率いる連立が、ハミッド・カルザイを大統領としてのアフガニスタン全土掌握を予期しているなら、彼らは夢を見ているのだと述べた。
彼は、独自の軍事力を持たないアフガニスタン暫定政府は西側の主人の命令に従うだけの傀儡政権であると付け加えた。

●コースト地方の地元シューラのメンバーであるムハンマド・カーンはBBCパシュトゥン・サービスに、米国の軍用機がコースト地方への空爆を続けていると話した。
前夜中に、子供を含む3人の無実の市民が殉教した。
タリバンもアル・カイーダも既にこの地域にはいないので、コースト地方が空爆されるとは予想していなかったと彼は言った。
彼はまた、カブールの国連と米国の職員にこれが通知されたと付け加えた。
地方の法と秩序の状態についての質問に彼は、「状況は日々悪化している、盗賊の襲撃が増加している。」と答えた。

ISLAMABAD(KPI):
The former Afghan Prime Minister and leader of Hizb-e-Islami, Engineer Gulbaddin Hekmatyar, said that his party has a sufficient number of armed fighters to repulse the foreign forces from Afghanistan.
While speaking to an International News Agency he said that his well-trained forces are spread all over Afghanistan and could easily drive the US forces out of the region at the appropiate time.
He also remarked that the US-led Coalition is dreaming if they expect to capture the whole of Afghanistan with Hamid Kirzai as president.
He added that Interim Afghan government is only a puppet regime following the orders of its Western masters while having no power of its own.
Hekmatyar said that he opposed bringing foriegn forces into the country and stressed that during the war he was determined to face the US attacks.
For this purpose he had contacted all other Afghan groups but was not successful in unifying them.
He said that he was fighting for the defence of Afghanistan for 34 years and his objective was to stop foreign intervention in the country's internal matters and allow Afghanistan to rise as an independent Islamic state with its own policies.
It must be noted that Engineer Hekmatyar is currently residing in Iran.
US WARPLANES CONTINUE BOMBING OF KHOST:3 CIVILIANS INCLUDING A CHILD MARTYRED
ISLAMABAD(Sana News):
A member of the local Shura of the Khost province, Muhammad Khan, speaking to BBC Pashtu service said that US warplanes continued to bomb the region of Khost.
Overnight, 3 innocent civilians, including a child were martyred.
He said that this bombing over Khost was unexpected as there were no more Taliban or Al-Qaida forces in the region.
He also added, that the UN and US servicemen in Kabul had been informed of this.
Answering a question about the condition of law and order in the province, he said that the situation is deteriorating daily and there were increasing raids by bandits in the region.
THE TRIBAL ELDERS REFUSE TO ACCEPT NOMINATED GOVERNORS IN PAKTIA AND KHOST PROVINCES
ISLAMABAD(Islam News):
The tribal elders of Khost and Paktia provinces have refused to accept the governors nominated Hamid Kirzai.
According to information, after the dispute for the leadership of Gardez and Mazar-e- Sharif, 3 groups claimed governorship in eastern province of Khost.
However, the tribal elders have clearly indicated that they would not support any of Kirzai's people.
This created a tense confrontational situation among the 3 opponents vying for leadership.
A local Shura member has said that such clashes and difference of opinions are severely affecting the peaceful civilians of the province.
According to analysts there will be guerrilla fighting if the tribal elders do not accept Kirzai's nominated men as governors and then it will be difficult for the Interim government to stop it.
