客車中央の天井から質量 m の物体が紐で吊り下げられています。この物体と紐とは垂直です。この客車が右のほうへ等加速度で加速を始めます。物体と紐とは左向きに傾きます。この加速は通常等加速度です。しかし外力 F が時間の経過とともに大きくなり続けるならば物体、紐の傾きも大となり続けます。その変化は客車内の人にも客車外の人にも同じです。また慣性力の反作用である紐の張力においても(紐が切れるならばその現象においても)。
