水星が円として図に描かれています。加えて図には円の中心と中心を通り上下に伸びる円弧、すなわち水星の公転軌道の一部も描かれています。円弧で水星は左右に分割されますが面積の大きさは左>右です。この図は遠心力の実際の大きさが水星を点として計算された大きさを上回ることを示すのでは(遠心力の公式を見てください。なお、自転は無視)。水星の近日点の移動は水星のサイズによるのでしょう。

This arc divides Mercury into left and right, and the area is left > right. This figure will show that actual magnitude of centrifugal force exceeds that calculated for Mercury as a point (see formula of centrifugal force).
