1月23日付け、「Ynet News」にアメリカの政治家への献金高が掲載されている。
これによると、トップはクリントンの親しい友人であり、"メディア・タイクーン”として知られるイスラエル人のハイム・サバン氏で少なくとも1,300万ドル。
Fox Networkによると、彼は民主党への献金者としては最大の献金者の１人であり、これ以外にブッシュ大統領やシュワルツネガー知事をはじめとする共和党議員達にも献金をしているとのこと。
次にStephen Bing：1,000万ドル、 Fred Eichner：800万ドル、Steve Forbes；700万ドル、Jim Pederson： 600万ドル。

Israeli billionaire Saban biggest donor to US politicians

Israeli billionaire and media mogul Haim Saban is at the top of the list of donors to political campaigns in the US.
Fox Network revealed over the weekend that Saban has donated approximately USD 13 million to various candidates.
According to the report, Saban, a close friend of the Clintons, is one of the major donors to the Democratic Party, though he has also contributed to republican candidates, including President George Bush and Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Next on the list of donors are Stephen Bing, father of Elizabeth Hurley's son, who donated USD 10 million; Businessman Fred Eichner, who has given candidates USD 8 million; and Steve Forbes, owner of Forbes magazine, who has funded election campaigns at the sum of USD 7 million.
The last on the list is Jim Pederson, who was contender for US Senate for the State of Arizona, with a little over USD 6 million.

デイビッド・ロックフェラーがオバマを仕掛けているという証拠があれば知りたいと思う（どなたか御存知でしたら教えてください）。
なぜなら、昨年10月22日付けのSteve Clemons のブログに気になることが書かれている。
この時点ではまだヒラリーもオバマも大統領選に出馬するかどうかは判明していなかった。
そこで彼（Clemons)は、彼自身の予想を書いているわけだが、「多分大統領選にはジョン・エドワーズではなくヒラリーが、そしてそのヒラリーの副大統領としてオバマが出馬するのではないか」と書いている。
そしてこの文章中にクリントンとモニカ・ルインスキーのスキャンダル事件について、
「ジョー・リバーマンがクリントン大統領をモニカ・ルインスキーとのスキャンダルの件で、激しく非難したその日、私（Clemons)はジェイ・ロックフェラーの部屋にいた。これを聞いたロックフェラーはリバーマンを激しく怒り、「「ゴアの副大統領になるかもしれないという矢先にこんなことをやって！」」と怒鳴りつけた。
この事件は、ロックフェラーとリバーマンを除いては、リバーマンが副大統領候補として出馬するなどと誰も予測だにしていなかった、大統領選のはるか以前に起こった」
この書き方からして、ジェイ・ロックフェラーが大統領選に影響力を持っているのは分かるが、副島氏の言うようにオバマがデイビッドだとすると、ジェイはヒラリーということになるのだろうか。ビル・クリントンの時はデイビッドが彼のバックにいて、ヒラリーのバックにはジェイがバック？
確かに政治の世界は訳の分からない世界ではあるが・・。

Obama (may be) Running for (Vice) President (35 comments )
Senator Barack Obama has been pretty giddy about the speculation that he might run for President. He is an exciting political force and seems fresh, somewhat innoncent, inspiring.
But behind the energetic spontaneity exists a cautious calculator. He knows that he is vastly out-gunned by Hillary Clinton as things stand -- and though she may be telling the truth to her New York constituents that she has made "no decisions" about running for the Presidency, everyone around her has decided (essentially) that she will run.
Obama, despite the feverish speculation, is RUNNING FOR VICE PRESIDENT.
I was in Senator Jay Rockefeller's office the day that Joe Lieberman lambasted on the Senate floor President Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky. Rockefeller was furious with Lieberman and roared that Lieberman had just issued his first salvo in a quest to be Gore's VP running mate.
The Lieberman speech happened way before anyone thought he had a chance at the VP slot -- all except Rockefeller, and Lieberman himself.
My hunch is that Obama is setting himself up to be Hillary's running mate. Probably more likely with Hillary than John Edwards.
Clinton and Obama would actually be a pretty impressive ticket.
