Resistance bombing in at-Tarimiyah leaves US Marine reported killed.

In a dispatch posted at 11:35pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in a popular vegetable market Suq al-Bu Juwayr in the middle of at-Tarimiyah in front of dozens of local residents.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast killed one of the Marines and wounded two more of them.

Yathrib.

Resistance pounds US base in Yathrib area with hour-long mortar barrage late Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:21pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired at least 12 mortar rounds of various calibers into the US-occupied al-Bakr Air Base ﾐ known to the Americans as Camp Anaconda ﾐ late on Tuesday night.

The ad-Dujayl correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Yathrib area, about 100km north of Baghdad, as saying that at about 10pm local time Tuesday night the Resistance launched an hour-long mortar barrage on the US base, striking it with at least 12 shells. The witnesses said that plumes of smoke could still be seen rising from the US-occupied facility early Wednesday morning as a result of the intense Resistance barrage. American helicopters prowled the skies over the area for a long period as well.

Balad.

Resistance bomb kills three Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian gunmen in puppet “National Guard” vehicle in Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:48pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” vehicle in which a group of pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen were riding through the city of Balad, about 85km north of Baghdad.

The Balad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road between the checkpoint near the bridge by the fuel station and the checkpoint in the as-Sayyid Gharib area blew up by a four-wheel-drive vehicle belonging to the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in which were riding a group of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen. The correspondent commented that the sectarian gunmen always use vehicles belonging to puppet regime troops when they go out on their sectarian missions in the area.

The bomb explosion completely destroyed the vehicle, killing three of the Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen who were aboard it and wounding three more of them.

Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.

US dismisses, arrests Brigadier General in puppet forces for taking weapons from regime, distributing them to Iraqi Resistance in Ba‘qubah. General now accused of “treason” to US-imposed regime.

In a dispatch posted at 6:27pm Makkah time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces dismissed Brigadier General Muzaffar Hamid at-Tamimi, the commander of puppet rescue services in Diyala Province on Tuesday and then arrested him on Wednesday morning on charges of providing arms to the Iraqi Resistance after having received the weapons last week from the puppet “Interior Ministry.”

The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that at-Tamimi had received 28 medium PKS machine guns from the puppet “Interior Ministry” and then the next day burned the invoices for the weapons that he received from the “Ministry” administration, and distributed the machine guns together with large quantities of ammunition among the Iraqi Resistance detachments.

The correspondent reported that General Muzaffar is currently languishing in a US prison under charges of “high treason” to the US-imposed regime.

Resistance bomb rips through puppet “National Guard” patrol near Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:02pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol south of Ba‘qubah (which is about 65km northeast of Baghdad) on Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the road in the Buhriz area just south of Ba‘qubah blew up by a passing patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guards,” setting fire to and completely destroying one of their Humvees. One of the puppet “Guards” was killed in the attack and three more of them wounded, two of those severely, according to the witnesses. Afterwards, the Iraqi puppet forces completely closed off the area.

Babil Province.
Al-Latifiyah.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in al-Latifiyah at noon Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:04pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad, at midday Wednesday.

The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of Muwaylihah Road to the south of the city, blew up by a passing American patrol at 12 noon local time, completely destroying a Humvee and killing or wounding all the American troops who were aboard it. After the attack, the Americans completely closed off the area and opened fire indiscriminately into the air.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

Resistance car bomb rips through puppet “Shock Troop” column in al-Mahmudiyah midday Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:49pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had just exploded by a column of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” near the popular meat market in the middle of al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that first reports indicated that about 10 puppet troops had been killed or wounded in the blast caused by an explosives-laden car that was parked by a roadside. A later report posted by Mafkarat al-Islam at 11:35pm quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the explosives-laden car had been parked by the side of the road waiting for the puppet “Shock Troop” patrol for more than an hour before they arrived and it exploded.

Al-Hillah.

US soldier reported killed south of Baghdad Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:51am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main highay south of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

The al-Hillah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted between Bridges 13 and 14 on the International Highway in Babil Province blew p by a passing American column, burning totally disabling one US Humvee. At least one American soldier was killed and two more wounded, witnesses said, adding that the US troops closed the highway completely following the attack.

Resistance pounds US base near al-Hillah with heavy mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 11:32am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US base located in the Jablah area, north of al-Hillah, which is about 60km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the Resistance pounded a base known as “Kaslar” in the Jablah area with heavy mortars, setting off explosions that could be heard a great distance away. Those were followed by secondary blasts as targets also exploded within the facility. Plumes of smoke and dust billowed up over the base and covered the sky. Witnesses said that US helicopters flew in and prowled the sky over the area for several hours.

Ninwa Province.
Al-Mawsil.

US soldier reported killed in southwest al-Mawsil Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:11pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier on the right bank (southwest side) of the northern city of al-Mawsil at about 7am local time Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a US foot patrol was in the az-Zahra’ neighborhood on the southwest side of al-Mawsil when one of the Americans suddenly was struck in the head and killed by a bullet fired by an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter. The soldier’s shocked companions called in reinforcements of men and vehicles and proceeded to search the area but found nothing.

Shi‘i sectarians murder Sunni youth trying to save his family from sectarian violence in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a gang of Shi‘i sectarians shot and killed a Sunni youth who was trying to sell his furniture and leave the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that four Shi‘i sectarians got out of their car and shot Ahmad Kamil, a Sunni youth who was trying to sell the furniture from his home in the street in the al-Hayaniyah district of al-Basrah. The youth had received treats to leave town or die within 24 hours and he was trying to sell his furniture to pay for his way out of town with his family.

After killing Kamil the Shi‘i sectarians pressed the crowd to take the furniture, saying that it was legitimate as “spoils of war.” “Take it now for free,” they said, urging the crowd to walk over Kamil’s body to take his belongings.

The regional hegemonic regime in Iran is seeking to secure its hold in Iraq by using Shi‘i sectarian leaders and organizations in the country. It hopes to step into the shoes of the American occupation authorities whose grip on the country has been weakened by three years of increasingly severe Resistance attacks. Efforts by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias to purge southern and eastern Iraq of Sunni residents have been stepped up in an effort to prepare for a partition of the country on religious lines, creating a clerical Shi‘i sectarian state tied to Iran in the eastern and southern parts of Iraq.
