As-Saqlawiyah.

At least six US troops reported killed in ambush by Resistance fighters in as-Saqlawiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 7:55pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters carried out a qualitative attack on a US military column in the city of as-Saqlawiyah, 10km northwest of al-Fallujah. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance planted two false bombs and by the side of road to Abu Sudayrah in as-Saqlawiyah. When an American column of five vehicles came down the road as the Resistance fighters expected, it spotted the false bombs and came to a halt, local residents said about 50 meters from the objects.

The American troops then got out of their vehicles to approach the “bombs” but at that moment the Resistance fighters, who had been lying in positions encircling the target area, opened up on them with RPG7 rocket-propelled grenades, GSh, and PKS machine guns. The witnesses said that the attack lasted more than 20 minutes and left more than six US troops dead and others wounded. If American helicopter gun ships had not arrived in the area, all the Americans in the column would have been wiped out, the witnesses reported. One witness who lives in the as-Sudayrah area said that the Americans arrived in his area after removing the dead bodies in the road and hauling away two burning vehicles. They then cleaned away all the traces of the battle from the road and picked up all the wreckage and debris of battle.

Ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 5:45pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US warplanes attacked the al-Bu Dhiyab area north of ar-Ramadi ﾐ which is located about 110km west of Baghdad ﾐ killing 12 local residents and wounding four more. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American air raid blasted four homes in the village to rubble. In an exclusive interview with Mafkarat al-Islam, Dr. ‘Abd al-Mun‘im ar-Rawi of the city hospital said that they had received 12 bodies of villagers martyred in the American attack, four of them children and one of them only a day old. Three women were also among those killed. The correspondent said that at the time of reporting there were still bodies buried under the rubble of the houses and that local people were working to dig them out.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance fighters battle US, Iraqi puppet troops raiding neighborhood.

In a dispatch posted at 12:58pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent fighting broke out between Iraqi Resistance forces and US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet allies in al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khalidiyah as saying that the combat erupted when a joint US-Iraqi puppet army force entered the Sinn adh-Dhubban in order to raid homes of people they believe are involved with the Resistance. Resistance fighters rose to fight them, however using light arms and pipe rockets. The battle left two American troops and three Iraqi puppet soldiers seriously wounded and damaged two of their military vehicles. The Resistance fighters suffered not losses. After the battle the joint US-Iraqi puppet troop force surrounded the area and then began raiding houses, arresting more than 22 people ranging in age from 17 to 50 years.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb targets US patrol at ester approach to al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the service road that leads to the eastern entrance to al-Fallujah. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that a bomb planted by the special service road used for bringing in vehicles carrying in large cargoes went off by a patrol of several Humvees, disabling one of the vehicles. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available because the US occupation forces quickly closed off the area and opened fire indiscriminately at anyone in the area.

Baghdad.

SCIRI chief meets secret “Israeli” delegation at time of Zionist offensive on Lebanon, Palestine.

In a dispatch posted at 12:21pm Makkah time midday Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Organization for Follow-up and Observation (“Mi‘mar”) has disclosed that the chief of the pro-American Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI), ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim, had held talks with “Israeli” representatives in occupied Iraq between 10 and 13 July. Mafkarat al-Islam reported “Mi‘mar” as saying that al-Hakim held meetings with three “Israelis” who entered occupied Iraq on American passports and under false names. “Mi‘mar” reported that the meetings took place in Baghdad, Babil, and an-Najaf and that they took place with the knowledge and coordination of the puppet government of Nuri al-Maliki.

“Mi‘mar” reported that one of the “Israelis” went by the name of James R. MacClaine, an officer in “Israeli” intelligence specializing in Iraqi affairs whose real name is believed to be Itzhaq Binfalak. A second member of the Zionist deputation called himself David Martin but his real name is Eliahu. Eliahu works for the Research Bureau. Mi‘mar was unable to give the name of the third “Israeli,” but he was in the Zionist diplomatic service and had worked in the “Israeli” embassy in Jordan, specializing in religious affairs.

“Mi‘mar” condemned the meetings, which were held in the presence of ‘Ammar, the son of ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al Hakim, and one of the puppet “ministers” in the US-installed “government” of Nuri al-Maliki, which took place at a time when the Arab nation is under a vicious American-“Israeli”-Iranian attack that is attempting to rip apart the bonds holding the Arab regions together in order to set up a myriad of mini-states subservient to themselves. The armed wing of SCIRI, the Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades, who number nearly 30,000 men joined US troops for the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and since then have formed the backbone of the puppet security forces serving the occupation.

Palestinians in Iraq appeal to Hizballah to intercede with Iran to help stop slaughter, persecution of Palestinians by Shi‘i sectarian militias in occupied Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that members of the 34,000 Palestinians in Iraq had issued an appeal to Hizballah in Lebanon to intercede with the Iranian Shi‘ah in Iraq to stop the murder of Palestinians in that occupied country. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Palestinians in the housing project for orphans of fighters in the First Palestinian Intifadah ﾐ a project built for them by the Iraqi government of President Saddam Husayn ﾐ as saying that Hizballah had to intervene with the Iranian Shi‘ah of the Badr Brigades and Jaysh al-Mahdi to stop the slaughter of Palestinians in Iraq.

Since the occupation of Iraq in 2003 and particularly in recent months Palestinians have been abducted and murdered and many have been thrown out of their homes by the Shi‘i sectarian militias. The Palestinians said that it was not only a matter of direct assaults and violence but that the sectarian gangs have threatened Iraqis who employ Palestinians in their shops or factories that their businesses would be burned down if they fail to dismiss all their Palestinian staff. This has left many Palestinians unemployed.

In a dispatch posted at 5:10pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that many Iraqi Resistance fighters have been complaining about their disappointment at the type of news coverage their struggle has been receiving at the hands of the satellite TV stations al-Jazeera and al-‘Arabiyah in comparison with the way that the Resistance to the Zionist invasion of Lebanon has been presented. Abu Ahmad al-Janabi a commander in the Iraqi Resistance organization al-Jaysh al-Islami told the Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam: “Sine the events in Lebanon started we have sent until now nine video tapes just of our own organization ﾐ not to mention the tapes sent by other organizations ﾐ to al-Jazeera but they haven’t broadcast even one of them. All of them were operations against the US occupation troops and all of them show American vehicles being blown up with all inside.”

Abu Ahmad went on: “We have also been sending them communiqu市 almost on a daily basis and they haven’t broadcast any of them at all.” Not only is it a matter of which stories they cover, but when the Iraqi Resistance does receive mention, it does not receive the same treatment as that accorded to the Resistance in Lebanon. Abu Ahmad pointed out: “They call us ‘gunmen’ even though they know full well that we are Mujahideen and Resistance fighters. But they call the Hizballah men Resisatance fighters and Mujahideen.” He noted also that while al-Jazeera believes Hizballah communiqu市 and refers to them as “reliable sources,” the station refers to the communiqu市 issued by the Iraqi Resistance as “unsubstantiated” or “biased,” encouraging viewers to discount them.

Abu Ahmad went on: “And when our valiant men fall in battle, al-Jazeera refers to them as ‘dead’ like stinking corpses, while they call the fighters who fall for Hizballah ‘martyrs’. Our women and children killed under the sign of the Cross are also just ‘dead,’ but those killed in Lebanon are called ‘martyrs’. God in heaven, how are they making their judgments!” Abu Ahmad told Mafkarat al-Islam: “al-Jazeera has now joined al-‘Arabiyah TV in its total bias against the Iraqi Resistance at a time when we think the media should treat the armed movements equally. What the people of Iraq are doing today is killing, blowing up, and destroying the most powerful army on the face of the earth and sooner or later the world media will have to pay attention no matter how reluctant they are.”

Mysterious bomb targets day laborers on Baghdad’s at-Tayran Square.

In a dispatch posted at 12:58pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded by a gathering of workmen on at-Tayran Square in the al-Bab ash-Sharqi area of central Baghdad. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Bab ash-Sharqi as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the main road in at-Tayran Square, day laborers gather to try to get work exploded, killing two civilians and seriously wounding 10 more.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the al-Bayya‘ area of western Baghdad. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Bayya‘ as saying that the bomb disabled a US Humvee, wounding four American troops, two of them seriously.

Resistance group reports destruction of two US vehicles in Baghdad Friday morning.

In a communiqu published on the internet Saturday the Iraqi Resistance organization Jaysh ar-Rashideen announced that its fighters had planted a bomb that blew up a US Humvee in the al-‘Amil neighborhood near the Electric Department at 8am local time Friday morning. The same detachment had earlier blown up a tanker truck hauling materials for the US occupation troops at 3am local time.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet base in al-Latifiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds at the headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet forces in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad. The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the shells scored direct hits on the base, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance unit reports attacks on US troops, vehicle Friday afternoon.

In a communiqu published on the internet Saturday the Iraqi Resistance organization Jaysh ar-Rashideen announced that its fighters had fired three 82mm mortar rounds into an American troop concentration in the al-Yusufiyah-Shakiriyah area, about 30km southwest of Baghdad at 6pm local time Friday afternoon. According to the communiqu, the same unit had planted a bomb that destroyed a US Humvee in the al-Qaraghul area at 1:15pm local time earlier Friday afternoon.

Resistance fighters attack checkpoint manned by puppet “National Guards.”

In a dispatch posted at 10:18am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Kirkuk as saying that Resistance fighters armed with machine guns attacked the checkpoint on the main road near the al-Fathah area in western Kirkuk, killing the officer in charge of the checkpoint, a first lieutenant, and wounding three more puppet “National Guards.”

Bomb targets US patrol near al-Mawsil’s Fourth Bridge.

In a dispatch posted at 9:45am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road near the Fourth Bridge in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Amin neighborhood of the eastern part of the city as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near the bridge blew up by a passing US patrol, disabling one vehicle and wounding two American troops.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol in ad-Diwaniyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:08am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet police patrol in northern ad-Diwaniyah, about 120km southeast of Baghdad. The ad-Diwaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked the patrol in the al-‘Askari neighborhood in the north of the city, killing two puppet policemen and wounding four more of them.
