東京音頭さんありがとうございます。該当サイトと思われるwebをabcラジオの
サイト内でみつけましたので貼り付けさせてください。
豪州で昨年Anti-terrorism Lawが成立する直前、インドネシアで爆破事件が
あり、オーストラリア人の犠牲がでたことも、法成立への追い風になったとの
くだりは、わたし達への良きアドバイスとしたいと思います。こちらもおかしな
事件が起きはしないか、また、それへのマスコミの報道姿勢に印象操作的なものが
あるか否かを注視したいとおもいます。

Retiring judge condemns 'intrusive' anti-terror laws
A retiring judge says the intrusive powers of government agencies are
being allowed to expand unchecked.
Ron Merkel QC retires today after years on the Federal Court bench.
He says the new anti-terrorism laws are an example of increasing
Government powers.
Mr Merkel says he would like to see more checks in place for courts to independently review the administration of the laws.
"The minimum requirement for the kinds of laws we have now would be
to have an effective complaint mechanism," Mr Merkel said.
"A security ombudsman that could check the exercise of power,
a parliamentary committee that would be reviewing the exercise of
power and seeing whether it's proportionate to the actual risk that
exists rather than the threat alleged to exist."
Mr Merkel says during his time on the bench, he has seen judicial
powers to review the Government whittled away.
Mr Merkel says the laws unduly interfere with people's right to be
left alone.
"The one thing that might make these intrusive powers permissible is
if they were subject to open and effective judicial review,"
Mr Merkel said.
"But because the Government can say that information shouldn't be
disclosed to the parties concerned, or the courts on public interest or
public security concerns, that means that people may never have
the opportunity to meet the case against them."
The president of the Law Council of Australia has strongly backed
Mr Merkel's comments.
National president John North says civil rights have been eroded
since the laws were introduced.
"The general public is understandably very worried about the threat of terrorism, they do not understand that allowing their government
to arrest and hold Australians without charge is an absolute infringement
of their civil rights," he said.
But a spokeswoman for the federal Attorney-General Phillip Ruddock says
Mr Merkel's comments were ill-informed, and that he appears to lack fundamental knowledge of the significant safeguards and accountability
checks already in place.

以下は関連ですが、ゴールドコースト近辺で上記Anti-terrorism Lawによる
取り締まりの一環で取締官が住民の携帯電話の履歴を有無を言わさず検査した件に
関連して、ほぼ同時期に日本では情報漏えいの可能性の高いWinnyへの完全規制が
総務省の違法との判断で中止になるといったニュースがありました。日本ではまだ
かろうじて公共が個人の通信へ侵害することへの防御は守られているようです。
