Al-Habbaniyah.
Three US soldiers reported killed, two wounded in double bombing in al-Habbaniyah.
In a dispatch posted at 4pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs had exploded nearly simultaneously by a US military column on the main road in al-Habbaniyah, west of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Habbaniyah reported eyewitnesses as saying that two bombs that had been planted by the main road blew up by a US column, destroying one Humvee and disabling a second. Three US soldiers were killed and two others wounded in the explosion.
Ar-Ramadi.
US announces new offensive north of ar-Ramadi.
In a bulletin posted at 5:05pm Mecca time Monday evening, the ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short time earlier US forces had announced the start of a new military operation north of ar-Ramadi, some 110km west of Baghdad. The new American offensive was named “the Bear” according to a literal Arabic translation of the American announcement.
At a press conference held in the al-Anbar Provincial government building ミ which US forces have occupied and turned into a local headquarters ミ US General Steve Hall said that more than 300 men of the 2nd Armored Division would be taking part in the offensive along with 500 Iraqi puppet troops. As usual, the objective of the American offensive is to suppress “insurgency” as the US occupation forces refer to the Resistance.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent, who attended the press conference reported that the areas of al-Bu Faraj and al-Jazirah north of ar-Ramadi were included in the area where the new offensive would be carried out
Resistance, US troops wage hour-long battle Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a fierce battle had erupted between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US troops near the as-Sufiyah area northeast of ar-Ramadi.
Residents of as-Sufiyah told Mafkarat al-Islam that the fighting broke out when US troops raided several houses on the outskirts of the area. Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the US raiders, sparking a battle that lasted for about an hour and left two US Humvees disabled.
The intensity of weapons fire and the fact that US forces surrounded the area after the clash made it impossible for the correspondent to ascertain the nature or extent of casualties.
Rawah.
Two US troops reported killed in bombing in Rawah on road to al-Qa’im.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US patrol in Rawah on the road to al-Qa’im near the border with Syria in western Iraq.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Rawah reported local residents as saying that a bomb that had been planted near al-Mafraq by the side of the highway to al-Qa’im blew up by a passing column of four US personnel carriers and three Humvees, disabling one personnel carrier and killing two American troops. Two other US soldiers were wounded in the attack, witnesses said.
As-Saqlawiyah.
Resistance bombards US military headquarters in as-Saqlawiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had bombarded the US military headquarters in as-Saqlawiyah, northwest of al-Fallujah, with heavy 120mm mortar rounds.
Residents of as-Saqlawiyah who witnessed the barrage reported that six 120mm mortar rounds blasted into the American-occupied facility, setting off explosions and sending clouds of smoke rising into the sky.
Abu Ghurayb.
Bomb blasts US column on Old Road in Abu Ghurayb.
In a dispatch posted at 4:15pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the Old Road in the Abu Ghurayb area some 30km west of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Abu Ghurayb reported a source in the Iraqi puppet “Rapid Deployment Force” as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the Old Road blew up, disabling one American armored vehicle and wounding three US troops.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah district.
In a dispatch posted at 5:15pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired two medium-range Katyusha rockets into the US military headquarters in the northern Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that pillars of smoke rose over the US compound after the rockets hit. American helicopters were seen flying in and hovering over the area and the vicinity.
Bomb blasts puppet “Iraqi National Guard” column in Baghdad al-Jadidah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard on the highway leading to the Baghdad al-Jadidah area in the southeastern part of the occupied Iraqi capital.
The Mafakrat al-Islam correspondent reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the highway from ad-Durah to Baghdad al-Jadidah blew up by the “National Guard” patrol, setting one of the patrol vehicles ablaze and killing or wounding four of the guards who were aboard it.
Resistance bomb rips through puppet “Shock Troop” patrol in Jurf as-Sakhr.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” near the entrance to the Jurf as-Sakhr area south of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the area reported residents of Jurf as-Sakhr as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by the passing patrol, disabling one pickup belonging to the puppet “Shock Troops” and killing or wounding five of the puppet soldiers who were aboard it.
Resistance bombards US headquarters in as-Sayyidiyah early Monday.
Iraqi Resistance forces fired three medium-range Katyusha rockets into the US military headquarters in the as-Sayyidiyah area in the south of Baghdad at 7:30am local time Monday morning.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of as-Sayyidiyah as saying that all the rockets scored direct hits, sending smoke rising into the sky over the US-occupied facility.

Al-Latifiyah.
Resistance forces unleash savage bombardment on US headquarters in al-Latifiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:50pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had unleashed a violent bombardment on the US military headquarters in al-Latifiyah, some 25km south of Baghdad, on Monday.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Latifiyah reported eyewitnesses as saying that twenty 82mm mortar rounds blasted directly into the US headquarters, setting off explosions and sending clouds of smoke billowing into the sky as sirens wailed inside.
Al-Yusufiyah.
Blast rips through US truck, Humvee in convoy south of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 4:35pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs had exploded by a US military convoy on the highway near the Kilometer 37 area south of al-Yusufiyah.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Yusufiyah reported eyewitnesses as sayig that the two bombs went off nearly simultaneously by the convoy of several US Humvees and trucks loaded with equipment. One of the trucks and one Humvee were set ablaze by the explosion.

Tikrit.
Bomb blasts US fuel convoy near Tikrit.
In a dispatch posted at 5:20pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a US military tanker convoy hauling fuel to US bases on the main road to Tikrit, north of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Tikrit reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side fo the road to Baghdad blew up by the American fuel convoy that was under Humvee escort. One tanker was set on fire and its driver wounded in the blast.
Balad.
Resistance bomb blasts joint patrol north of Balad.
In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Mecca time Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a joint US-Iraqi puppet “Rapid Deployment Force” patrol on the road between Balad and Samarra’ to the north.
Residents of Balad who witnessed the attack told Mafkarat al-Islam that a bomb that had been planted by the side of that road blew up as a joint column of US and Iraqi puppet military forces drove past. The explosion disabled one of the vehicles of the Iraqi puppet “Rapid Deployment Force,” killing three Iraqi puppet troops and seriously wounding a fourth.
Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.
US troops reportedly kill five members of Iraqi family near Ba‘qubah “by mistake.”
US forces on Monday admitted to opening fire on a crowded minibus north of Baghdad, mistaking it for a car bomb. The US forces acknowledged that as a result of their attack, three civilian members of an Iraqi family were killed, two of them children. Three others were wounded in the American attack
Mafkarat al-Islam reported Reuters as saying that survivors of the attack, which occurred near Ba‘qubah, said, however that five members of the family were killed, two of them children, and that four others family members had been wounded. A survivor told Reuters that the family had been heading to Ba‘qubah from Balad, 50km north of Baghdad to attend a funeral, when US troops who were approaching on the road opened fire.
Resistance bombards Diyala Province puppet government building.
In a dispatch posted at 6pm Mecca time Monday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had fired eight 82mm mortar rounds into the Diyala Province puppet government building in Ba ‘qubah, northeast of Baghdad.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that eight mortar shells blasted directly into the puppet Provincial government building.
Ninwa Province.
Mosul.
Resistance mounts two Monday morning attacks on puppet police in Mosul.
In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons had attacked two puppet police patrols in the as-Sukkar and al-Baladiyat neighborhoods of central Mosul.
Eyewitnesses told the Mafkarat a-Islam correspondent that Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police patrol near the city hospital, setting fire to three police cars and killing four of the puppet policemen and wounding four more of them.
Then less than 10 minutes later, the Resistance mounted a second attack on another puppet police patrol in the al-Baladiyat area in the middle of Mosul, setting four police cars ablaze and killing six puppet policemen before withdrawing from the scene.
Al-Basrah Province.

Sunni physicians, professors think of fleeing al-Basrah after receiving sectarian death threats, and after the murder of two such intellectuals within 48 hours.
The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah reported in a dispatch posted at 6:55pm Mecca time Monday night that more than 20 physicians and university professors had received death threats from unknown persons in the last two days.
A well-known heart surgeon told Mafkarat al-Islam that he had received a death threat on a piece of paper. The sectarian message read, “Get out of al-Basrah, you son of Mu‘awiyah, or you will be killed.” (Mu‘awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan ruled as the first caliph of the Ummayad dynasty from 661-680 C.E. and is regarded by the Shi‘ah as a usurper who repressed their forefathers.)
A professor at the University of al-Basrah told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that on Saturday, 19 November, he had found a piece of paper on which the following message had been written: “You dirty Sunni, get out of our city of you’ll be butchered like a camel.”
The correspondent reported that all Sunni professors and medical doctors in al-Basrah are thinking of fleeing after the spate of messages, which they are taking with complete seriousness. Two of those who had received sudh threats were in fact assassinated within the past two days ミ Dr. Sa‘d ar-Rabi‘i, and professor of biology in the College of Science, Dr. ‘Umar Fakhri.
The pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades, who invaded Iraq together with US forces in 2003 and have since formed the backbone of the pro-American security forces, are generally seen as responsible for the threats.
