More Unrest In Anbar Province; Resistance Assassinates First Deputy Governor

A fidaﾕi fighter drove an explosives-packed car into a US armored column in Rawah in western Iraq yesterday as attacks were reported in Fallujah amid reports that Resistance fighters had shot and killed the First Deputy Governor of Anbar province.
The Rawah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported passing motorists who happened to be on the scene at the time of the martyrdom attack as saying that a Resistance fighter burst into the US armored column as he drove beside it. US troops opened fire on the car but he managed to detonate his explosive vehicle near the column, setting fire to one armored vehicle and reportedly killing or wounding its crew of five US soldiers.
Bomb Targets US Patrol South Of ﾔAmiriyat Fallujah
A bomb exploded by a US patrol in the Zawbiﾔ area south of ﾔAmiriyat al-Fallujah, which is south of the city of Fallujah, at 1pm local time Tuesday according to reports from Mafkarat al-Islam. Witnesses to the bombing said that an explosive device that had been planted by the side of an unpaved road that links ﾔAmiriyat al-Fallujah with Zawbiﾔ blew up as a US patrol passed by. The explosion severely damaged one American Humvee, reportedly wounding two US soldiers, the witnesses said.
US Soldier Reported Killed In Midday Ambush
Also in Fallujah, a joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol in the industrial zone of Fallujah was hit by an explosive device some 60km west of Baghdad at midday on Tuesday. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in Fallujah reported shopkeepers in the zone who witnessed the attack as saying that the operation began when an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of one of the main roads in the industrial zone exploded by a passing joint patrol. The blast set one of the vehicles in the patrol on fire. Resistance fighters equipped with light and medium arms attacked the patrol, reportedly killing one American soldier and three Iraqi puppet troops. Thee other soldiers, one of them an American, were said to have been wounded, the witnesses said.
Resistance Assassinates First Deputy Puppet Governor Of Anbar
In a bulletin posted at 4:55pm Mecca time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Resistance fighters shot and killed the First Deputy Governor of al-ANbar Province in the US-installed puppet regime, Talib Ibrahim Samir al-Fahdawi. Also killed in the attack that took place on 17 Street in the middle of ar-Ramadi was one of al-Fahdawiﾕs aides.
Eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that fighters got out of a car and unleashed a hail of gunfire on the Deputy Governorﾕs car, killing him and his aide instantly.
Resistance Shoots Down Unmanned US Spy Plane
Iraqi Resistance forces shot down an unmanned US spy plane in the as-Sufiyah area northeast of Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, at about 9am local time Tuesday morning according to a Mafkarat al-Islam report. Residents of the area who saw the attack told their correspondent that a number of Resistance fighters shot down the US reconnaissance drone by firing medium weapons at the aircraft. The gunfire struck the airplane and brought it crashing down in a garden in the as-Sufiyah area.
Resistance Bombards Joint US-Iraqi Puppet Headquarters In Hit
Resistance forces bombarded the Youth Center building in the middle of Hit in western Iraq on Tuesday, a building that the US occupation forces have taken over and turned into one of their headquarters. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported eyewitnesses in the al-ﾔUmmal neighborhood of Hit as saying that the headquarters, which is jointly used by US occupation troops and Iraqi puppet forces, was struck by four mortar shells at about 6am local time Tuesday morning.
