Four US Troops Reported Killed In Mosul; Deadly Car Bombs Rip Through Iraq

In a dispatch files at 3:15pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that aIraqi car bomb had blown up at an American military column on the road that leads to the center of Mosul in northern Iraq. Eyewitnesses said that a car packed with explosives that had been parked by the side of the road blew up as the column of several Humvees passed by. The explosion totally destroyed two American vehicles, reportedly killing four US troops and wounding two more.
Car Bomber Blasts US Camp In Ramadi
An Resistance fidaﾕi fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US military camp near 20 Street in the middle of Ramadi in western Iraq at about 8:30am local time Monday morning. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported residents of the city who witnessed the attack as saying that the fidaﾕi drove his explosives-packed vehicle slowly and when he got close to the camp, he surprised the American troops by suddenly swerving towards them at very high speed. When he got near the camp, he detonated his explosives, inflicting very heavy damage to the camp, which also caught fire. Seven US troops who were near the camp gate at the time were reportedly killed or injured in the attack, among them snipers who were posted atop the gate.
Resistance Bomb Rips Through Iraqi Puppet Army Patrol
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a bomb exploded at an Iraqi puppet army foot patrol on main road not far from the Khalid ibn al-Walid Mosque in al-Khalidiyah, west of Baghdad. Local residents who witnessed the incident said that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as an army foot patrol was passing by. Four so-called Iraqi troops were killed or wounded in the blast.
Resistance Bomb Blasts Iraqi Army Column
A bomb exploded at an Iraqi army patrol on the main road near the ash-Shuhadaﾕ bridge in western Fallujah at 4pm local time Sunday afternoon according to a report from Mafkarat al-Islam. Eyewitnesses who live in the area said that a bomb that had been planted under the side walk beside the main road blew up as a patrol of several pickups belonging to the Iraqi puppet army drove past. The blast destroyed one of the vehicles, killing or wounding four army soldiers. Witnesses said that the soldiers then began firing indiscriminately, killing one nine-year-old Iraqi child who took a bullet in the head.
Bomb Blasts US Column In Ridwaniyah
In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Mecca time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded by a US column on the main road in the ar-Ridwaniyah area southwest of Baghdad. Residents of al-Kartan village south of Ridwaniyah said that a bomb that had been planted on the main road near the Third Bridge blew up as a column of several American armored vehicles passed by. The blast completely destroyed one of the vehicles, reportedly killing or wounding four of the soldiers aboard it.
US Soldier Reported Killed In Car Bombing
A car bomb exploded by a US column on the road to the al-Ittisalat neighborhood to the west of Baghdad at 12 noon local time Monday. Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the so-called police as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road to the al-Ittisalat neighborhood blew up as a patrol of four US armored vehicles and two Humvees drove past. The explosion disabled one of the armored vehicles, reportedly killing a US soldier and wounding a second. Several civilians who happened to be in the area were also injured in the bombing.
Resistance Ambushes Police In Sayyidiyah
In a dispatch posted at 11am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance fighters armed with automatic weapons and PKS machine guns had attacked a police patrol in the Sayyidiyah neighborhood south of Baghdad. A source in the puppet police said that Resistance forces ambushed the policemen as they entered a side street in the middle of Sayyidiyah, sparking an approximately 10-minute firefight. Five policemen were reportedly wounded in the attack, two of them seriously.

A fidaﾕi fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a joint US-Iraqi army patrol on the road from al-Mahmudiyah north to Jurf as-Sakhr, just south of Baghdad, at about 7am local time Monday morning. Mafkarat al-Islam reported al-Mahmudiyah residents who witnessed the attack as saying that a fighter detonated his explosive car by a joint patrol that was passing along the same road to the north. The explosion disabled one army vehicle, reportedly killing three so-called Iraqi army troops and wounding two others. One American soldier was also said to have been severely wounded in the blast.
Another Joint US-Iraqi Patrol Targeted
A car bomb exploded by a joint US and Iraqi army column in the town of Buhriz, northeast of Baghdad, at 9am local time Monday morning, according to reports from Mafakrat al-Islam. Residents who witnessed the attack said that an explosives-packed car that had been parked by the side of the main road in the town blew up as a joint column of US and regime soldiers drove past. The explosion set one of their vehicles on fire. American and Iraqi troops began indiscriminate shooting around the area following the bombing, which they then sealed off completely, making it impossible to ascertain the nature or extent of casualties suffered as a result of the explosion.
Resistance Mounts Attacks On US, Iraqi Forces In BaﾔQubah
In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Mecca time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance forces had carried out several attacks on US and Iraqi army forces in various areas in and around Baﾔqubah on Monday morning. Eyewitnesses who live in Baﾔqubah were quoted as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the provincial government building with mortars at the time when a joint US-Iraqi patrol was heading towards the facility. The barrage caused heavy damage to the building, sending columns of smoke rising into the sky.
At about the same time, Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into the police station in Baﾔqubah when US troops were present in the building. The four shells scored direct hits on the police station, but information on the nature or extent of casualties was not available to the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent.
Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons also ambushed an Iraqi army patrol near the ﾒelection centerﾓ set up in the al-Wathbah school in the middle of Baﾔqubah. That attack left a number of Iraqi puppet army soldiers reportedly wounded.
Bomb Targets Police Patrol
A bomb exploded by a passing police patrol in the al-ﾔAmal ash-Shaﾔbi district of Kirkuk. The blast set fire to one of the police cars and reportedly killed four Iraqi policemen and wounded another three, witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam.
