アル・カイダ系ウエッブ・サイトをたどると、米国メリーランド州の「ジョン・デイヴィッド」氏に行き着いた？！
これ、確か阿修羅で既報ではなかったですよね。What Really Happened.comから、『アル・カイダのウエッブ・サイトをたどると・・・メリーランド？？？』と題された文章です。
ロンドン７・７で「犯行声明」が出されたサイトではありませんが、アル・カイダ系「イスラム・テロリスト」のウエッブ・サイトalneda.comについてです。これは２００２年６月２５日付のＣＮＮ.comの記事にあるもので、アル・カイダ・ジハードのサインで「ビン・ラディンは生きていて米国への新たな攻撃を準備している」という脅迫を載せたようです。

この２００２年６月２５日（火曜日）のＣＮＮの記事によりますと、「これらの声明と他のアル・カイダからの声明は、しばしばwww.alneda.comというウエッブ・サイトに現れてきた。」「このサイトは６月始めに再び現われ、ＣＮＮがトレースしていくとテキサスにあるホスト会社に行き着いた。ＣＮＮが月曜日にこのサイトについて放送したところ、alneda.comは再びウエッブから姿を消した。」ということです。
そしてWhat Really Happened.comの記事の著者がそのalneda.comをトレースしていってみると、実に、米国はメリーランド州の「ジョン・デイヴィッド」氏に登録されている！ さらにたどっていってみると、テキサス州オースチンにある配信会社に、そしてフロリダ州サラソタのホスト会社、ここから再びメリーランド州の「ジョン・デイヴィッド」氏に！
ウエッブ・サイトの登録者を探っていく技術的なポイントは私にはもう一つ分からない点がありますが、どうやらアル・カイダの情報発信地は米国内にあるようです。

AL QAEDA WEBSITE TRACKS BACK TO ... MARYLAND???

Last night on CNN I heard them making a connection between the London bombings and an “Islamic terrorist” website called alneda.com. I tried to view the website but it’s been taken offline. I did find the following three year old reference to alneda.com on CNN:

According the CNN June 25, 2002 web ariticle (URL listed above):

However, as the above traceroute shows, the DNS for alneda.com still points web queries to broadwing.net, in Austin, TX.
Interesting how the U.S. corporate medium absolutely fails to point out that this “terrorist” webiste is hosted in Texas.
Also interesting is CNN’s suggestion is 2002 that alneda.com had “once again disappeared from the Web”. It appears it’s where it has always been. These people never hear of investigative journalism? What I want to know is: who the hell is Jon David, and why is he maintaining a “terrorist” website in Texas?
Maybe we should notify the Berlin, MD police of the “terrorist” in their midst. Or der Homeland Security? It also might be fun to contact Broadwing and the domain name registrars and ask them what they’re doing associating with terrorists? Weird how Muslim charities have been targeted since 911, but somehow this “terrorist” alneda.com has managed to reside in Texas for three years.

WRH: There has been a lot of information about the porn site creator who claims to have hijacked alneda.com. A lot of claims are being made back and forth, with one side saying this is an innocent explanation of why this website traced back to the US, and the other side saying the story is just spin created to create an innocent explanation after the site was exposed as tracking back to the US. Jon David is touted as a hero by some, as a pornographer by others.
alneda.com is hardly the only supposed "Al Qaeda" web site to trace back to the US, and in the wake of the FBI shutting down all Muslim websites starting the day before 9-11, any "Al Qaeda" website appearing to operate within the US must be viewed as probably a propaganda device of some kind.
