女性がカエルを出産 イラン

【BBC】イランの女性がカエルを出産したとのこと。カエルを産んだ女性はイラン南東部の町に住む二児の母とされているが、これまで名前は明らかにされていない。イランの新聞Etemaad（ゴシップ紙ではない）の伝えたところによれば、現在までのところ、一体いかにしてカエルが産まれたのか、詳しい原因は明らかにされていないが、医師によれば産まれてきたカエルはいくつかの人間に似た特徴を持っていたと話している。また医師によれば、原因はおそらく彼女が汚れたプールで泳いだ際、予期せずして彼女の体にオタマジャクシが侵入し、体内でカエルとしてふ化したものであるという推測がなされている。産まれた「カエルらしき生物（新聞はそう表現している）」は現在まだ正式な遺伝子及び解剖検査を受けていないが、生物を観察した臨床生物学者のアミニファード博士は「（その生物と人間は）外見上のいくつかの類似点があります。指の形と長さ、そして舌の形などですね。」と語っている。

またこれまでにも医学史上にはカエルや蛇、トカゲといった生物が人間の体内で成長していたとされるケースはいくつか存在している。有名なケースとしては17世紀、ドイツにて「カエルを吐く女」としてしられたカサリナ・ギズラリンのケースがある。しかし1662年、彼女の死後行われた検死解剖では、体内からそうした生物は発見されなかったと報告されている。

Iranian woman 'gives birth to frog'

An Iranian newspaper has reported the controversial story of a woman who claims to have given birth to a frog.
The Iranian daily Etemaad says the creature is believed to have grown from larva to an adult frog inside her body.

While it is unclear how this could have happened, the paper carries quotes from medical experts who say there are human characteristics to the animal.

It has been speculated that the woman, who has not been named, unknowingly picked up the larva while she was swimming in a dirty pool.

The woman, from the south-eastern city of Iranshahr, is a mother of two children.

The "so-called frog", as the newspaper puts it, has yet to undergo precise genetic and anatomic tests.

But it quotes clinical biology expert Dr Aminifard as saying: "The similarities are in appearance, the shape of the fingers and the size and shape of the tongue."

Medical history recounts stories of people who believed they had frogs - or even lizards or snakes - living and growing in their bodies.

One of the most famous was the 17th Century case of Catharina Geisslerin, known as "the toad-vomiting woman" of Germany.

When she died in 1662 doctors are said to have performed an autopsy, but found no evidence animals had ever lived inside her body.

Iranian woman gives birth to frog
Tehran, June 27, IRNA -- An Iranian woman gave birth to a frog in a bizarre labor in the southeastern city of Iranshahr Saturday.
Gynecologist Varasteh, who confirmed the report said the woman whose period had stopped for six months underwent a sonography in May which showed she had a cyst in her abdomen, wrote the Farsi-language daily E'temad in its Sunday's edition.

Following severe bleeding, the woman who has not been named gave birth to a live gray frog accompanied with mud.

Varasteh believes the frog larva has most likely entered and grown in the woman's body.

Other physicians argue that the larva has found its way into her body while she was swimming in a dirty pool, turning to a frog after the fetus has grown.

And some specialists blame genetic disorders, saying the so-called frog has similarities with the human's fetus.

The woman has two healthy children.
