米国のあるMLでこういう投稿がありました。
概略はつぎのとおり――
「時間がないので誰か調べてほしいんだが、今回のサダム捕捉発表には
明らかに疑わしい点がある。
まずDNA検査でサダム本人と確認した、という話だが、発表された情報では
サダム捕獲から発表まで７時間もないわけだが、そんな短時間で検査結果が
出るのか？
テレビ映像もおなじ断片映像が繰り返し出てくるだけだが、それしかないのか？
未編集の映像は今後出て来るんだろうか？ 出てこないとすればその理由は？
サダムは66歳だ。普通なら66歳にもなったら白髪だぜ。サダムも普段は毛染めを
してたんじゃないか？ だけど今回のビデオでは、穴蔵に隠れていたはずの
サダムは黒髪がふさふさしてるってどーいうことよ？ 髪の毛が伸びてボサボサ
だったとしても、白髪頭のはずだろ？ 穴蔵でも毛染めだけはしっかりしてたのか？
仮に毛染めをする施設が穴蔵の中にあったとして、だったら何故、ボサボサ頭の
ままなんだ？ 暴君は突然心変わりしてヒッピーにでもなったのか？
ヒゲだって、所々白いところがあるけれど、大部分は黒いぞ。66歳の男がなんで
あんなに黒いヒゲをしてられるんだ？ 染めたのか？ だとしたら白黒ブチに
染めたのは変じゃないか？
米軍はサダムを捕捉してから髪の毛を刈ったのかな。捕捉後わずか７時間のうちに
そういうことをしたんだろうか？ だけど、短い髪のサダムも、頭髪は黒々して
いる。66歳の年齢なら、二、三日前に毛染めでもしてなきゃ、ああいうふうには
ならないんじゃないか？ 米軍当局は捕獲したサダムに散髪だけでなく毛染めまで
施したんだろうか？ 」

I haven't got time to research what I'd like to on this, but obviously one has to have doubts. here's a few questions which I hope people can look into. They said that they confirmed his ID with DNA testing. From what I can make out, they had something less than 7 hours between the time of alleged capture and the announcement of this.
Can a DNA test be confirmed within this time? Pup is a medical doctor so perhaps he might know. From the TV footage I saw, there was just the same few snippets over and over again. Will we see the unedited video? If not why? Saddam is 66. A 66 year old guy does not have black hair. So I had always figured he must be colouring his hair. Fair enough. But in this new video, his long hair is still black. If one has short hair, and then grows it longer, the grey comes through really quickly. So he must have been constantly colouring it, while growing it. He's been run to ground in a rat infested hole,but still has facilities to regularly colour his hair?
And why would he be colouring it? If he wants to disguise himself himself, from his recognizable image, why not let it go grey? Which raises the question of why he's growing it long. Has the evil tyrant suddenly become a hippy ? He's grown it long because he likes it like that? Or has it grown long because he's in such a dishevelled state that he can't even get a haircut? If that's the case, how come he's able to keep colouring it? Or if he's grown it long to disguise himself, then why did he go to all that trouble with the colour to make himself look more recognizable?
Although the beard has some patches of white, its mostly black. A 66 year old guy doesn't have that much black in a beard. Was he colouring that too? But only partly?
In the unshaven video, the moustache, while still way too black for a guy that age, has a patch of white, but in the shaven version it appears all black. Although, one has to look carefully, taking account of the shading, because there was another unshaven version, where I didn't pick up any white.
I think they've given him a hair cut in the shaven version - hmm, a haicut in the first 7 hours or less of capture? Maybe. But the cut version hair also looks black. A 66 year old guy,unless he applied the latest colour just a few days ago at the most, should start to look rather grey, once the hair is cut short. Unless his captors gave him a coulour as well as a cut? Just my initial questions.
