●平和なポスト-タリバンのアフガニスタンで激しい戦闘−ガルデス
アフガニスタン東部パクティア地方で、サイッド・アーメド・ギラーニとバチャ・カーン知事の軍隊の間で激しい戦闘が始まった。
両者は共に、ロケット砲と迫撃砲を使っている;
アフガニスタンのいわゆる『平和』はその程度のものだ。
アフガニスタンのナショナル・イスラミック・フロントの議長Pir サイッド・アーメド・ギラーニがパクティアを訪問したときに戦闘は始まった。
彼は、新しい傀儡政府に対する支持を取り付け、アフガニスタン東部の3地方の人々を『結びつける』任務を負っていた。
地方知事バチャ・カーンは水曜日の朝、サイッドに彼の軍隊と共にこの地域を去るように命令した。
サイッド・アーメド・ギラーニは地方知事がパシュトン人の利益に反していると通信社に話した。
そして、この目的（パシュトン人の利益）により、彼はパシュトン人の５つの行政区で支持を得ている。
アナリストは、この戦闘の目的は民衆に嫌われているバチャ・カーンを追い出すことだと言う。しかし、情勢は依然曖昧である。
●米国防大臣ドナルド・ラムズフェルドは、2、3日前に4人の上院議員と共にキューバのキャンプＸ線を訪問した。
彼は、キャンプで158人のムジャヒディン捕虜の処遇を視察した。
訪問終了後、彼は捕虜の処遇は適切で『人権』に適っており、米国政府は捕虜に関する見解を変えないだろうと言った。
捕虜たちをキューバへ移送する方法や、キャンプに拘留する流儀は、全世界だけでなく、一部のアメリカ人によっても非難された。
ペンタゴンは捕虜たちが戦時捕虜の身分を与えられたら（彼らは確実にその権利を有する）荒々しい尋問に従わないと信じている。
これらの出来事と声明は、アメリカの傲慢と（他の）国家と宗教に対する高慢さを証明するものであり、アッラーがそれを破壊する理由を更に証明するものである。
●人権組織がブッシュの声明を非難する
人権組織は、キャンプＸ線に収容中のムジャヒディン捕虜を戦時捕虜として認ることを拒否したブッシュの声明を非難した。
『ヒューマン・ライツ・ウォッチ』は、国連（アメリカ合衆国）の安全保障理事会に、手紙を送った。
この手紙には、『米国政府は（キャンプＸ線に収監中の）158人のタリバンとアル・カイーダ捕虜は不法な戦闘員であると宣言したが、彼等は戦時捕虜としての身分を与えられなければならない。また、米国政府も署名をしているジュネーブ条約に従って捕虜が扱われなければならない』と書かれている。
これらの要請の全てをブッシュ大統領は拒絶した。
ヒューマン・ライツ・ウォッチは、『最初に米国政府がアフガニスタンに宣戦布告をし、軍用機、タンク、爆弾と兵士とでアフガンを攻撃した。
その後に、この戦争で捕らえられた捕虜には戦時捕虜の権利が与えられないと言って世界を愚弄している』と厳しく非難した。
これは、アメリカはそれが自分自身にとって好都合な場合に限り法に従うが、他人が同じ事をすると腹を立てるという事実の更なる証明である。

GARDEZ (Islam News/ Agencies):
Reports have come in of fierce fighting between troops loyal to Syed Ahmed Gilani and the Governor Bacha Khan in the Eastern Afghan province of Paktia.
Both sides are openly using rockets and mortars;
so much for the so-called 'peace' in Afghanistan.
Fighting began when the President of the National Islamic Front of Afghanistan, Pir Syed Ahmed Gilani, was visiting Paktia.
He was on a mission to 'unite' the people of the three Eastern provinces of Afghanistan as well as create support for the new puppet government.
The provincial governor, Bacha Khan, ordered him to leave the region along with his troops on Wednesday morning.
Syed Ahmed Gilani told news agencies that the provincial governor is working against the interests of Pashtuns and in this aim he had the support of five Pashtun provinces.
Analysts say that this fighting aims to remove Bacha Khan as he is disliked by his people. However, the situation on the ground remains unclear.
Rumsfield Says that Treatment of Prisoners in Cuba Conforms to US 'Human Rights'
GUANTANAMO (Monitoring Desk):
The US Defence Minister, Donald Rumsfield, visited Camp X-Ray in Cuba along with four Senators a few days ago.
He observed the treatment of 158 Mujahideen prisoners in the camp.
At the end of his visit, he declared that the treatment being given to these prisoners is correct and conforms to 'human rights'.
He said with determination that the US Government will not change their opinion about these prisoners.
The manner in which these prisoners were transported to Cuba and held in the camp was criticised not only by the whole world but also some Americans themselves.
The Pentagon believes that if these prisoners are given the status of Prisoners Of War then they will be eligible for certain rights and not be subject to forceful interrogation.
These events and statements further prove the arrogance and pride of the way America deals with nations and religions, and further proves why Allah will destroy it.
HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANISATIONS CRITICISE BUSH'S STATEMENT
WASHINGTON (Radio Report):
Human Rights' organisations have criticised Bush's statement which refused to grant the Mujahideen prisons in Camp X-Ray, Prisoner of War status.
'Human Rights Watch' has sent a letter to the Security Council of the United Nations (United States).
This letter said that the US Government has declared the 158 Taliban and Al-Qaida prisoners held in Camp X-Ray as "illegal combatants" but they must be given the status of Prisoners Of War.It also said that they must be treated according to the Geneva Convention of which the US Government is a signatory.
All of these requests were rejected by President Bush and so Human Rights Watch strictly criticised his administration by saying that first the US Government declared 'war' on Afghanistan and attacked it with warplanes, tanks, bombs and soldiers and then they fooled the world by saying that the prisoners captured in this 'war' are not entitled to 'Prisoner Of War' status.
This is further proof of how America only follows laws and regulations when it suits her, but becomes angry at other people when they do the same.
