US AIRFORCE TRANSPORT PLANE CRASH SEVERELY INJURES 8 SOLDIERS

Ibn Abbas (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAWS) said:
"There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days (the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah)."
The people asked, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah?"
He said, "Not even jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing."

Abu Qatadah (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAWS) said:
"Fasting on the day of Arafah is expiation for the sins of two years, the year preceeding it and the year following it."

American Soldier Killed in Bagram
KABUL (Online):
According to the US Central Command representative Major Rolf Miller, an US soldier posted at Bagram Airbase was killed on duty.
The serviceman who was working on the base, which is 40 miles North of Kabul, sustained severe injuries when he was struck by heavy equipment.
The soldier was immediately transferred to a medical centre but died during the journey.
The US authorities have not disclosed the name of the soldier yet.
US Airforce Transport Plane Crash Severely Injures 8 Soldiers
KABUL (Internet News):
It has been reported that an American airforce transport plane has crashed in Afghanistan severely injuring the 8 serviceman on board.
Details indicate that the MC-130P transport plane crashed in the remote mountainous region north of Kandahar on Wednesday.
According to a French news agency all 8 US soldiers in the aircraft were severely injured although the cause of crash is not yet known.
However, Al-Jazeera reported with reference to an US military source that this incident occurred due to firing.
The source also claimed that all 8 US soldiers are now out of danger.
It must be noted that since the US started the war in Afghanistan, 28 US aircraft have been destroyed to date.
Mujahideen Launch a Well Planned Attack on US Military Base in Kandahar
KANDAHAR(Islam News) :
The attack on the base, lasting half an hour, contained periods of intense gunfire and mortar exchanges between the two sides.
A British news agency reported that its own cameramen had heard explosions of bombs, grenades and firing in and around the airbase in Kandahar.
According to the report the US soldiers targeted the mountains to the west of the base, where several previous attacks had been launched by the Mujahideen.
The news agency also quoted defence authorities as saying that although several of the attackers managed to escape, US soldiers had arrested 7 suspected attackers on Wednesday.
As usual the US authorities claimed that none of their soldiers were injured in these attacks.
