●ムッラー・アブドゥル・サラム・ザイーフはパキスタン政府に拘留された。ムッラー・ザイーフの家族が明かした政治亡命申請に関するいきさつ：
パキスタン当局は政治亡命の可否に対して即答しなかった代わりに3時間以内にパキスタン領内からの退去を要求。
しかし当局の心変わりかアメリカのご主人の命令か、パキスタン当局はその3時間が過ぎないうちに『ザイーフ氏は望むだけパキスタンに留まれる』と告げた。
当局がザイーフ氏の安全を再保証したのちに彼は連れ去られた。
●米軍がオサマ・ビン・ラディン氏の捜索の為、アフガニスタン東部ナンガルハルで戸別訪問をしているという報告を受けとった。アフガニスタンのイスラム・プレスによれば、アラブ・ムジャヒディンはナンガルハルのチャパルハル地区に隠れていると思われる。
『トラボラでの捜索失敗が彼らをナンガルハル攻撃に向かわせているのだ。』とアナリストは話した。
トラボラでは、ハジ・アブドゥル・カディール、ハズラット・アリ、ザーマンが合衆国を裏切ってアラブ・ムジャヒデインを米軍の爆撃地域から逃がしたといわれている。

Mulla Abdul Salam Zaeef Arrested by Government of Pakistan
ISLAMABAD(Special Correspondent/NNI/Monitoring Desk):
The former Taliban Ambassador, Mulla Abdul Salam Zaeef, whose request for Political Asylum was rejected by the apostate Pakistani Government has been arrested from his residence in Islamabad.
Furthermore, the Pakistan Foreign Office have given indications that it may be handing Mulla Zaeef over to the American authorities.
His family members report that on Thursday at around 1300 local time, eight men apparently from Intelligence came to his residence in Islamabad and requested him to accompany them for some talks, after which he would be allowed to return.
The BBC later reported that these men had allowed Mulla Zaeef to take his mobile phone and hinted that they may be moving him to Peshawar.
He was assured that he could keep in contact with his family, but since his arrest he hasn't been allowed any contact whatsoever, despite several attempts from members of his family.
His family add that they haven't been informed as to where he is being detained.
With regards to Mulla Zaeef's request for political asylum, his family have disclosed that he had been given no answer from the Pakistani authorities and instead was asked to leave Pakistan within 3 hours.
However, before this time had passed, in an apparent change of mind (or orders from their US masters), they said he could stay in Pakistan for aslong as he wished.
After the authorities reassured Mulla Zaeef's safety, he has now been taken away by the intelligence agencies, for obvious questioning in collaboration with their American allies.
Furthermore, the new interim government in Afghanistan has not accepted Mulla Zaeef's position and state that he has no rights as per the Geneva Convention and that there are chances he could well be handed over to US authorities.
SEARCH FOR USAMA BIN LADIN CONTINUES IN THE PROVINCE OF NANGARHAR
KABUL(Islam News):
We have received reports that the US Military have initiated house-to-house searches within the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar, in an apparent attempt to locate Usama Bin Ladin and any Arab Mujahideen.
Approximately 800 fighters of the Eastern Shura are also involved in helping their American 'brothers' in this mission.
In fact, the actual orders for this search operation were given by the leadership in Nangarhar.
According to the Afghan Islamic Press, Arab Mujahideen are believed to be hiding in the Chaparhar district of Nangarhar, which lies to the south of Jalalabad.
Analysts who are keenly observing current Afghan affairs, have said that the US Military's failure to locate Usama Bin Ladin in the mountains of Tora Bora have led them to attack the province of Nangarhar in what seems like a sign of frustration at their own incompetence.
Some sources suggest that US officials have said that Commanders Haji Abdul Qadeer, Hazrat Ali and Zaman all betrayed the US Military by assisting and allowing safe passage for Arab Mujahideen out of the areas of US bombardment.
US authorities apparently released this statement after arresting Commander Muallim Oul Gul, who along with the the three commanders mentioned previously, have been taken out of Afghanistan via aircraft to an unknown location.
US authorities are believed to be interrogating these eastern Shura commanders and have consequently launched a search operation in Nangarhar.
Indeed Allah is the Guardian of the Mujahideen.
US COMMANDOS DEPLOYED IN SOUTHERN AFGHANISTAN IN SEARCH FOR AMEER-UL-MUMINEEN
KABUL(Radio Report/Islam News):
A number of US Commandos have reportedly landed in the southern region of Afghanistan as military activities have intensified in and around Kandahar airport.
The Pentagon has shown interest in bombing the mountains of Helmand, just like they had done in Tora Bora.
The US Military and their local Afghan allies have expressed anger over the fact that the local commander of Helmand, Abdul Wahid, has apparently given shelter to Ameer-ul-Mumineen.
However, the Governor of Helmand has denied the presence of Ameer-ul-Mumineen in this region.
The US Military, however, remain adamant that he is in this region and if any of the local Afghan troops capture him, then he should be handed over to them.
The reality, however, is that like for Usama Bin Ladin, nobody is quite sure as to the whereabouts of Ameer-ul-Mumineen and this recent US bombing campaign in Helmand is but a product of the doubtful and haphazard nature of US Military strategy in the region.
A Pentagon spokeswoman, Victoria Clark, confirmed that a number of US Commandos have landed in Afghanistan in search for Usama Bin Ladin and members of Al-Qaida.
In addition, 1000 soldiers from the ST-101 US Air Division have been deployed in Kunduz.
Their mission is apparently to conduct operations in collaboration with US soldiers already present in the region.
In further developments, the US Military and Northern Alliance troops have claimed again that both Mulla Umar and Usama Bin Ladin are hiding in the mountainous regions of Helmand, despite the denial of this fact by its Governor.
The intelligence chief representative, Nasrullah, has stated that the delegation sent to Baghran for negotiating the arrest of Mulla Umar have returned and that they are awaiting their response.
He further added, that if Mulla Umar is not handed over to the interim government, then this will result in an almost definite war against tribal leaders, who have denied the presence of Ameer-ul-Mumineen in their areas of influence.
Reportedly, the Hootak tribes in Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul and Urzgan are from these tribes in question.
MORE THAN 300 TALIBAN PRISONERS FREED IN APPARENT GOODWILL GESTURE
KABUL(Radio Report):
Our sources indicate that over 300 Taliban Mujahideen have been freed by the new interim government, who have said that more prisoners will be released in a gesture of good will to extend public cooperation.
These released prisoners have been shown entering chartered aircraft in Kabul, which were due to take them back to their homes.
These Mujahideen were accompanied by tribal elders, who had helped to negotiate their freedom.
These Mujahideen had been arrested by the Northern Alliance over the previous years of war, with some arrested during the Northern Alliance's entry into Kabul.
49 STUDENTS OF ISLAMIC INSTITUTION ARRESTED IN YEMEN
DHUAA(Monitoring Desk):
According to Al-Jazeera news, 49 students have been arrested from a famous Islamic institution in the eatern Yemeni city of Maarib.
In what seems to be an extension of America's 'War on Terror', the Islamic students from the Mahad Al-Hadith were arrested by Yemeni authorities.
Other sources indicate that last week, over 80 students were taken in custody for questioning, of which 49 have now been arrested indefinitely.
These students of Islamic knowledge came from different parts of the Islamic world, including Alegeria, Indonesia, Iraq, Libya, Somalia and Sudan.
Three Libyan students belonging to this institution have now been reportedly handed over to the Libyan government.
