MORE THAN 107 MARTYRED AS US BOMBING OVER PAKTIA CONTINUES
KABUL(Islam News/Agencies/Radio Report):
We have received reports that US warplanes have continued bombing innocent civilians in the Paktia province of Gardez.
According to local reports, US warplanes pounded the regions of Mian Jaan and Fort Nizai, which lie to the south of Gardez.
The total number of casualties from previous operations a few days ago have reached at over 107 deaths, with many others injured.
Twelve houses have reportedly been completely levelled and it was here that over 40 Muslims were martyred in their own homes.
Fifteen other houses have been heavily damaged.
The majority of casualties consist of women and children, and there is no Power or Might except in Allah.
The Reuters News Agency has reported statements from Paktia's local Shurah leader, Haji Saifullah, that the recent US bombing over Gardez has resulted in the martyrdom of not 15, but 107 people.
He added that this operation was carried out by one B-52 bomber and two other warplanes, and that the bombing lasted for many hours.
Haji Saifullah stressed that there were no Taliban or Al-Qaida men present in these areas and all the victims of this attack were infact common Afghan citizens.
He warned the US once again that the local people are protesting and threatening to pick up their arms and fight the new government.
Consequently, the Paktia Shurah has initially decided to act against those elements who are providing misleading information to the US Military regarding the presence of Taliban and Arab Mujahideen in Paktia.
Local residents have invited the US Military to come and estimate the losses and identify what 'legitimate targets' it keeps insisting that it is pursuing.
As a result of this deliberately incompetent use of force by the US military, we are hearing that the mood of the Afghan people is changing rapidly in opposition to the new US/Kirzai government.
Our sources have revealed that local tribal elders and the common people are talking of starting a war against the new government.
Within the ranks of the new government itself, there is clearly a rift between members as to whether the presence of the US and its continuous bombing is a necessary measure to the peace and stability of Afghanistan.
May Allah divide the ranks of the disbelievers and hypocrites.
US RESORT TO DROPPING PAMPHLETS IN TRIBAL REGIONS OF PAKISTAN
LONDON(KPI):
In what is being seen as a sign of US desperation at their inability to locate Usama Bin Ladin or Mullah Muhammad Umar, it has been reported that US warplanes have started dropping pamphlets in Pashtu and other languages into the tribal regions of Pakistan, offering $50 million for information leading to the whereabouts of what have become the most wanted men in the world.
The pamphlet mentions a huge reward for anyone who can provide good intelligence about the whereabouts of Usama Bin Ladin, Mullah Umar and any of the leaders of the Taliban and Al-Qaida.
In an attempt to play with the minds of the people, the pamphlets dropped in the Pakistan region of Para Chinar, display what looks like a picture of Usama Bin Ladin in his teens, without a beard and dressed in western attire.
The new $50 million reward doubles the previous figure of $25 million, then for information leading to the whereabouts of Usama Bin Ladin and Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahiri.
KABUL: BRITISH MILITARY AND INTERIM GOVERNMENT SIGN MILITARY AGREEMENT
KABUL(Radio Report):
The British Military and the Interim Government in Kabul have signed an agreement, which allows the entry of foreign forces into Afghanistan.
The exact details of this agreement have yet to be announced, but there has been speculation as to the strength and exact role these troops are to take in Afghanistan.
Sources indicate that the British Military have set up their HQ at the base of the US Foreign Office's Forces Camp, apparently leaving their previous HQ at the Bagram air base.
A number of military vehicles have been reportedly entering the camp, apparently carrying Royal Marines and other army personnel.
British sources report that they will be providing 1,500 troops of an overall 4,500 multinational force, which will be based in Kabul and known as the International Security Assistance Force.
It's apparent role is to maintain 'peace' in the capital with regular army patrols, which are due to start on Thursday.
British authorities insist that their troops are solely present for a peace keeping mission in Afghanistan, but a military officer suggested that if they were to remain in this region for too long, then they might be in danger due to the unpredictable circumstances that may arise in what is still regarded as a fragile situation in Afghanistan.
