An account of an Australian SAS Soldier
Radio Germany:
In an interview with an Australian Soldier, who recently returned from Afghanistan confirmed heavy US losses in last nine months.
He also criticised America's role in Afghanistan.
He said his worst experience when he and his 1800 soldiers were trapped in Shah-E- Kot mountain range under heavy fire for 18 hours from the Mujahideen.
He said, due to some "unexplainable" technicalities the communication system failed to contact the US B-52 Bomber's circling above.
The communication technician then tried in vain to get help from nearby US base, but completely failed to establish contact.
Finally, an Afghan "Munafiq" Coalition trooper had to physically reach Khost by the means of a horse, in order to inform their masters to send a rescue operation.
By then the Crusaders lost as much as 250 soldiers and 900 injured, although he is not sure how many more died due to serious wounds.
The Australian soldier refused to go back with any operation under US command, since according to him;
the American's are selfish and arrogant.
They only care about themselves and are too hasty in their approach and hence most of their operations backfire.
Accordingly to his opinion, the Afghanistan Crusade will be a complete failure and concludes that US is now stuck in a asyuracom-22 situation.
In replying to a question, he admitted that as far as his knowledge is concerned, the US High Command in Florida is deceiving the American masses, and in fact the US has lost at least, as a minimum 500 and several hundred are injured and/or missing.
The Australian officer refused to identify himself for obvious security reasons.
