●アラブ人と外国人を取り締まるパキスタン
カラチ(アッザーム)：
カラチでは、あらゆる外国人の所在を突き止めるための特別捜査と取締りが進行中である。
見たところ、かなりの数のアラブ人を含む多数の外国人が逮捕されて何処だかわからない所に拘留されている。
全ての逮捕者はＦＢＩの管理下におかれて尋問を受けている。
情報筋は、この作戦はパキスタン国内全域でアラブ人およびアフリカ人の所在を突き止めることを目標にしていると明言した。
パキスタンの地方警察の助けを借りてＦＢＩが先頭に立ってこの取締り活動を行っている。
パキスタンの法の執行（官）は、この問題にＦＢＩが関っていることを否定している。
アラブ人の居住者は（居住の合法・非合法に関らず）この取締りで尋問を受けている。
また同様にしてパキスタン人はアラブ人に知人がいるかどうか、そして知人がいる場合にはその居住地を聞き出されている。
以前にアラブ人とアフリカ人のイスラム教徒が住み、働いていた宗教施設は厳重で密かな監視のもとに置かれている。
パキスタンのアラブ・アフリカのムスリム・コミュニティの大多数は合法的な労働者および学生である。
彼等は、パキスタン政府とＦＢＩの重苦しい手によって与えられる毎日の不必要な嫌がらせのせいで強い緊張状態にある。
また、最近禁止された宗教団体（『ジハード』グループという名で知られている）のメンバーが現在拷問にかけられている。
BBCは、定められたグループのおよそ100人のメンバー（ラホールから来た人だけでも40人以上）が地方警察に逮捕されたと報じた。
カラチで発行される新聞ドーン紙は、『警察のスポークスマンが、ＦＢＩはアル・カーイダ・メンバーの所在確認と逮捕に最新の衛星テクノロジーを使用してると発表した。』と、報じた。
全ての衛星電話の会話は盗聴されている。そして、詳細な分析をするために全てのアラビア語の会話が選び出されている。

Crackdown Against Arabs And Foreigners In Pakistan
Karachi(Azzam) :
A special search and crackdown is underway in Karachi to locate any foreigners.
Apparently, large numbers of foreigners, including significant numbers of Arabs, have been arrested and are being held in an unknown place.
All the arrested are under custody of and are being interrogated by the FBI.
Sources specify that this operation is targetted at locating Arab and African nationals nationwide in Pakistan.
This crack down is being spearheaded by the FBI under the auspices of local Pakistan police.
Pakistan law enforcement denies the involvement of the FBi in this matter.
Both legal and illegal Arab residents are being interrogated in this crackdown, as well as Pakistanis being questioned to ascertain if they know any Arabs, and if they are able to locate them.
The religious institutions where Arabs and African muslims prevously lived and worked are being kept under close undercover observation.
The Arab and African Muslim communities in Pakistan, the vast majority being legitimate workers and students, are under great tension due to daily and unnecessary harassment being meted out by the heavy handed Pakistani government and FBI.
Also reported is that members of the recently banned religious groups (also known as 'jihadi' groups) are currently being tortured.
The BBC reports that approximately 100 members of the prescribed groups, including more than 40 from Lahore alone, have been arrested by the local police.
The DAWN (a newspaper published from Karachi) has reported that police spokesman have stated that the FBI is using the latest satellite technology to aid in the location and arrest of Al-Qaida members.
All satellite phones conversations are being tapped and any conversations in Arabic singled out for further analysis
