●英軍、パキスタン-アフガニスタン国境付近に配備

英国軍は現在、アフガニスタン東部地域のパキスタン国境のすぐ近くに配備されている。
英国軍の高級将校が、アフガニスタンのロヤ・ジルガ・メンバーのセキュリティを強化するために今後数日間この処置がとられると明言したと報じられた。

British Troops Positioned Near Pak-Afghan Border
Kabul(Azzam) :
British troops in Afghanistan are now being posted proximate to the Pakistan border in the Eastern regions of Afghanistan.
It was reported that a high ranked British military officer specified that these steps are being taken in the coming days to increase the security for Afghan Loya Jirga members.
The officer further stated that to supply the increase in US and its coalition troops military operations, thousands of commandos have been moved by helicopter to areas proximate to the Pak- Afghan borders.
The BBC reported that successive to the failure of US and its coalition partner's operations in Tora Boar and ShahiKot;major operations have been initiated in the province of the Nangarhar Mountains near to Pakistani borders.
Operations commenced on Saturday, starting with large scale ground and air strikes.
Analysts state that this was the second biggest action following the Tora Borra operation, and that thousands of foreign commandos are participating in it.
Sources indicate that US commandos have sealed all roads from Spin Boldak and Shamshaghar which lead to Pakistan, and that person by person searches are being carried out.
News agency sources state that people who are reaching Peshawar from Jalalabad state that they faced great difficulties and inconvinience due to the US operation.
In the Afghan border province of Kunar, for the first time the US have set up military bases in 3 places.
Sources indicate that the US suspect that the large numbers of Mujahideen are hiding in the forests and mountains of Kunar.
This has not been verified by local governor.
