●待ち伏せ攻撃で米海兵隊員が死亡
ペシャワール(特派員）：
米兵が待ち伏せ攻撃に遭い、4人が重傷を負い3人が死亡した。
兵士たちはアフガニスタンのパクティア地方での作戦から帰る途中だった。
レポートは、アフガニスタン人の親政府の兵士が米特殊部隊と共に宗教機関に対する作戦に参加したことを示唆する。
（宗教の）機関はアル・カーイダとタリバン戦士がそこに滞在しているという疑いで標的にされた。
米部隊は宗教機関に対する作戦を終え、帰るところを攻撃された。
ハフィズ・メワーン・ジャンという名の勇敢な若者が米部隊に手榴弾を投げつけ、そして発砲を始めた。
それは意外な攻撃だったので米兵は（態勢を）立て直すことが出来なかった。
その結果、4人が重傷を負い、その場で3人が殺害された。
彼は弾薬を使い尽くすと戦術上の退却を試みた。しかしながら、生き残りの米兵が彼を狙った。
その後、攻撃者は米兵の報復的な銃撃で殉教した。
●北部ワジルスタン作戦の目的は、18人の米兵と2人のイタリア兵の釈放
デラ・イスマイル・カーン(特別レポート）：
北ワジルスタンでのパキスタン-合衆国合同作戦の目的は、3ヶ月前のシャイコト戦争（アナコンダ作戦の一部）でムジャヒディンの捕虜になった18人のアメリカ兵と2人のイタリア兵の解放である。
合衆国情報筋によれば、これらの捕虜たちは北ワジルスタン地域のシャワルの森にいるということだ。
彼等はタリバン指揮官ズバイル・タジクの命令で捕らえられた。
上級の信頼できる筋によると、米当局はおよそ1ヵ月前にパキスタン政府に北ワジルスタン部族地域での空中作戦の許可を求めた。
この要請は、ムジャヒディンがパクティア-アフガン境界を横断した後、アナコンダ作戦で捕らえられた20人の連合軍兵士がここで拘束されているという合衆国の情報に基づいてなされた。
合衆国の情報筋によれば、これらの捕虜は今でもタリバン指揮官ズバイル・タジクの指揮下で拘束されており、捕虜たちの拘留場所は頻繁に変わるということだ。

同じ情報筋はデイリー・イスラムに、「FBIのレポートはオサマ・ビン・ラディンの副官アイマン・アル・ザワヒリ博士の甥（エンジニアのハーリド・アル-ザワヒリ）が以前ムジャヒディンに技術的・財政的な援助を提供した50人のエンジニアの1人だったことに触れた」と、報告してきた。
彼らは全員、部族地域で行方不明になっていると報じられている。
FBI報告は、ハーリド・アル-ザワヒリが夏にゲリラ活動を再開することを示唆する。
部族のエージェントのレポートは、彼がザルミーナの北ワジルスタン地域のナショナル・アイデンティティ・カード（身分証明書）を取得し、このカードを使ってパキスタンのパンジャブ行政区へ旅立っていたことを示す。
4 US Marines Killed, 3 Seriously Wounded In Attack By Solo Youth

Peshawar(Special Correspondent):
Three US soldiers were killed whilst Four others were severely injured in an ambush upon a group of US soldiers.
The soldiers were returning after operations in the Afghan province of Paktia.
Information received indicates that the US commandos, along with pro- government Afghan soldiers, carried out an operation upon a religious institution.
The institute was targetted due to suspicions that Al-Qaida and Taliban fighters were staying there.
Upon completion of the operation at the institute, the US troops were returning back when they were attacked.
A brave youth, named Hafiz Mewaan Jaan, threw hand grenades at the US troops and commenced firing at them.
Due to the unexpectedness of the attack, the US soldiers were unable to regroup.
Consequently 3 were killed on the spot, whilst 4 others were severely injured.
The youth attempted to orchestrate a tactical retreat once he had exhausted his ammunition, however the remnants of the US group targetted him.
Subsequently, the attacker was martyred by their retaliatory fire.
Northern Waziristan Operation Objective is the Release Of 18 US and 2 Italian Commandos

The purpose of the current joint Pak-US operation in North Waziristan is to free 18 US soldiers and 2 Italian commandos who were taken prisoner three months previously in battle of Shahi Kot (part of Operation Anaconda) by the mujahideen.
According to US sources, these prisoners are being kept in the Shawal forests of North Waziristan region.
They were captured under command of Taliban commander Zubair Tajik.
A senior reliable source informs that approximately 1 month ago, the US authorities requested Pakistan government for permission to execute an air operation in the North Waziristan tribal region.
This was due to US intelligence that the 20 coalition soldiers captured during operation Anaconda were being held here after the mujahideen crossed the Paktia-Afghan border.
According to US sources these prisoners are still held under the command of Taliban commander Zubair Tajik, and their holding location is changed frequently.
Reliable sources indicate that 24 US commandos are currently participating in the operation in North Waziristan, which is being spearheaded by Northern Alliance commander Sher Ahmed Jidrat.
This troop is also being aided by US military helicopters.
Dr Ayman Az-Zahariri's nephew to Restart Guerilla Operations in Summer
The same sources informed Daily Islam, that a FBI report mentions that Usama Bin Ladin's deputy's [Dr. Ayman Az- Zawahri] nephew - Engineer Khalid Az-Zawahri was among the 50 engineers who prevously provided technical and financial assistance to the mujahideen.
They are all reported missing within tribal regions.
The FBI report indicates that Khalid Az-Zawahri will restart guerrilla operations in the summer.
Tribal agent reports indicate that he has taken a National Identity card of the North Waziristan region of Zarmeena, and has been travelling to various Punjab province of Pakistan upon this document.
