●米情報機関、失敗を認める

米国防長官ドナルド・ラムズフェルドは、アメリカ情報機関は手配中の聖戦士オサマ・ビン・ラディンの所在の発見出来なかったと話した。
彼はまた、過去5ヵ月の間に彼の所在に関する手掛かりが全く発見されなかったと言った。
ワシントン・タイムズによれば、バグラム空軍基地での演説で国防大臣ドナルド・ラムズフェルドは、
「12月以降、我々はビン・ラディンを示すサインを全く見つけられなかった。
我々は2001年12月5日に彼がトラボラ地域に居たことを知っているだけだ。それ以来、我々は彼の消息を聞いていない。」と、話した。

●カブールで航空機撃墜
カブール(イスラム・ニュース）：
2002年4月27日土曜日、ニュースレポートはカブールでのジェット航空機の破壊とパイロットの死を伝えた。
信頼できる筋によれば、この軍用機が実際にムジャヒディンによって撃墜されたことが後に確認された。
このジェット機はカブールにドナルド・ラムズフェルドが到着する前、定期巡回飛行をしていた。
この事件の直後にカブール空港は米国防相の到着を予期した激しいロケット攻撃に晒された。
こういう訳で、ラムズフェルドを載せたヘリコプターはカブール空港ではなくカブールの米国大使館の近くに着陸した。

US Intelligence Accepts its Failure to Find Bin Ladin

WASHINGTON(International Desk) :
The US Defence Minister Donald Rumsfield said that US intelligence has failed to locate wanted Mujahid, Usama Bin Ladin.
He also said that no clue has been found regarding his whereabouts in the last five months.
According to the Washington Times, Defence Minister Donald Rumsfield, while speaking to troops at the coalition air base in Bagram, said that since December we have not found any sign of Bin Ladin.
We only found out that on 05 December 2001, he was in the Tora Bora region, but since then we have not heard anything about him.

Destroyed Aircraft in Kabul Actually Shot Down by Mujahideen

KABUL(Islam News) :
On Saturday 27 April 2002, news reports mentioned the destruction of a jet aircraft in Kabul, killing the pilot.
According to reliable sources, it has since been determined that this warplane was in fact shot down by the Mujahideen.
This jet was on routine patrol before the arrival of Donald Rumsfield into Kabul.
Immediately after this, Kabul Airport came under heavy rocket fire in anticipation of the arrival of the US Defence Secretary.
Therefore, the helicopter carrying Rumsfield landed near the US Embassy in Kabul instead of Kabul Airport.
