●またしても地震
金曜日の朝、アフガニスタン北部を地震が襲った。村が破壊され30名以上の死者がでたと援助当局は話した。
少なくとも100人の負傷者がでている。
犠牲者の大部分は、首都カブールの北東90マイルのドアビ村の住民だった。
カブールでも揺れを感じたが、犠牲者がでたとの報告はない。
タジキスタンの首都ドゥシャンベとパキスタンの国境の町ペシャワールでも揺れを感じた。
それらの都市で犠牲者や損害がでたとの報告はない。
2002年4月15日
●ザーマトで待伏せ攻撃、米兵2名殺害
ガルデズ（特派員）：
1ペアのムジャヒディンがガルデズからの帰途、ザーマト付近で米軍の車輌を見つけた。
その勇敢なムジャヒディンは軽機関銃で車を攻撃し、2人の米兵を殺害して、少なくとも1人を負傷させた。
負傷者は危篤状態だと伝えられている。
残りの米兵は高性能な重武器を使って応戦した。
その結果、我々の2人の兄弟は、「アッラーの敵に立ち向かい、彼に忠実であった」という最も光栄ある道で神のもとへ連れ戻された。
神は言われた：
『だから来世のために、現世の生活を捨てる者に、アッラーの道のために戦わせなさい。アッラーの道のために戦った者には、殺害された者でもまた勝利を得た者でも、われは必ず偉大な報奨を与えるであろう。』 [コーラン4：74 ]
●北部同盟、カブールで英国軍隊を攻撃
カブール(イスラム・ニュース）：
土曜日、身元不明の攻撃者（北部同盟のメンバーであると思われる）がカブールで2ヶ所の英軍の検問所を攻撃した。
彼らは盲目的にチェックポイントを銃撃したようで、英軍の反撃に遭った。
両サイドの犠牲者に関する確実なレポートがない。
地元の関係者は、攻撃者が警察の制服を着た北部同盟のメンバーで、総計で30人だったと語った。
そのうち7人が逮捕され23人は逃亡した。
この北部同盟の男達は、給料の未払いに怒っていて、外国人の侵略者にその要点を証明したかったのだと思われる。
他方、一部の地元住民は、この事件は実際に憎悪（地元のアフガン人は米英の占領軍全てを憎悪している）の表現であると話した。
しかしながら、北部同盟の性格と歴史を考えてみれば、彼等がアフガニスタンの平和を分裂させようとして、
アフガニスタンのロヤジルガ開催の動きを悉く妨害するというのは非常にありそうな話である。
何故なら、彼等はその結果をアンダー・リプレゼント（労力の割にポストが少ない）と考えるかもしれないからだ。
まことに、アッラーは最高のプランナーであられる。
Yet Another Earthquake Strikes Afhanistan

KABUL (Islam News):
An earthquake struck northern Afghanistan on Friday morning, destroying a village and killing more than 30 people, aid officials said.
At least 100 others were injured.
Most of the casualties were in the village of Doabi, 90 miles northeast of the capital Kabul.
The quake was felt in Kabul but there were no reports of casualties.
It also shook Tajikistan's capital, Dushanbe, and the Pakistani border city of Peshawar.
No casualties or damage was reported in those cities.

Two U.S. Soldiers Killed After Mujahideen Ambush in Zarmat

GARDEZ (Special Correspondent):
A pair of Mujahideen were traversing a path on their return from Gardez when they came across a U.S. military vehicle traveling near Zarmat.
The brave Mujahideen attacked the vehicle with light machine-gun fire and consequently killed two U.S. soldiers and injured at least one, who is reportedly in critical condition.
The remaining U.S. soldiers returned fire using heavy weapons with their advanced military equipment and this resulted in our two brothers being taken back to their Lord in the most honourable of ways, facing the enemies of Allah and being true to Him.
As He, the Almighty says:
"Therefore let those fight in the way of Allah, who sell this world's life for the hereafter;and whoever fights in the way of Allah, then be he slain or be he victorious, We shall grant him a mighty reward." [Quran 4:74]
Members of Northern Alliance Attack British Troops in Kabul
KABUL(Islam News):
Unknown assailants, believed to be members of the Northern Alliance, attacked two British troop checkpoints in Kabul on Saturday.
They seemed to blindly fire at the checkpoints and were met with return fire from British troops.
There were no authentic reports on any casualties on both sides.
Local sources state that the attackers were members of the Northern Alliance dressed in police uniform and were 30 in number.
Seven of them were arrested, whilst the remaining 23 succeeded in escaping.
It is believed that these Northern Alliance men had been angry at the fact that they hadn't received their salaries and wished to prove a point to these foreign invaders.
On the other hand, some of the locals stated that this incident was in fact an expression of hatred, which the local Afghan people have against all occupying U.S. and British forces.
However, taking into account the makeup and history of the Northern Alliance, it is very possible that they are trying to disrupt the 'peace' in Afghanistan and hence oppose any move to hold a Loya Jirga in Afghanistan because they might feel that they will be under represented as a result of this.
