●カンダハル空港で米軍将校爆死
カンダハル(特派員）：
カンダハル空港で爆発があった。軍用車が破壊され、米軍将校が死亡、地元のアフガン人司令官ナイマトゥラー・カーン他5名のアフガン兵が重傷を負った。
ナイマット司令官は、2人の米兵（将校とその護衛）と共にカンダハル空港に向かっていたが、彼の車の内部に仕掛けられていた爆薬が爆発し、車は完全に壊れた。
ナイマット司令官は、アメリカの信頼できる盟友である：
彼はカンダハル米国基地の司令官で、その指揮下には1100人の兵士がいる。
●もう一人のアメリカ人犠牲者 − パクティア

アフガニスタン東部のコースト地方からのレポートによれば、木曜日の夜、コースト空港の新築のビルに対する破壊的なミサイル攻撃が始まった。
目撃者は、木曜日の22時30分頃にムジャヒディンが5発のミサイルを新空港を目掛けて発射したと話した。
かなり遠くでもミサイルの耳をつんざくような音が聞こえた。しかし、犠牲者が何人でたかはまだ判っていない。
アナリストはこの攻撃を、『ムジャヒディンによる、アフガニスタンの米軍に対する成功したゲリラ攻撃の継続』と、呼んだ。
春の到来と雪解け以来、ここ数週間の間に攻撃は強さを増している。
アナリストは、『ムジャヒディンがアフガニスタン全土をカバーするように連続的にゲリラ戦の領域を拡大している。彼等は退却した敗軍とは程遠い存在である。』と語った。
US Officer Killed in Explosion at Kandahar Airport

KANDAHAR(Special Correspondent) :
An explosion at Kandahar Airport destroyed a military vehicle, killing one US officer and severely injuring a local Afghan commander, Naimatullah Khan, along with five other Afghan fighters.
Commander Naimat was travelling to Kandahar Airport along with two US soldiers (one officer and his bodyguard) when hidden explosives inside his vehicle were detonated, completely destroying it.
Commander Naimat is a reliable ally of the American:
he is the commander of the US base in Kandahar and 1100 soldiers are under his command.
Another US Casualty in Paktia
KABUL(Islam News) :
In the third such incident in a week, unknown assailants opened fire on an American military vehicle, killing one US soldier in the Paktia province of Eastern Afghanistan.
The US soldiers were heading towards the regional airport in the targeted vehicle when they were attacked.
The attackers succeeded in escaping after the incident.
Deadly Mujahideen Missile Attack on Khost Airport
KHOST(Islam Correspondent) :
According to reports received from the Eastern Afghan province of Khost, a deadly missile attack was launched on Thursday night at the newly built Coalition Base at Khost Airport.
Eyewitnesses said that at about 22:30 on Thursday, five missiles were launched by the Mujahideen targeting the new Airport.
The deafening sounds of these missiles were heard from a great distance, but it is not yet known how many casualties there were.
Analysts have termed this attack as a continuation of successful guerrilla attacks by the Mujahideen against the US Forces in Afghanistan.
The intensity of these attacks has increased within the last few weeks since the arrival of Spring and the melting of the snow.
Analysts have said that the Mujahideen are continuously spreading the areas of their guerrilla warfare to cover the whole of Afghanistan and that they are far from being a defeated force in retreat.
