●外国の侵略者に抗議するアフガニスタンの人々
アフガニスタンに駐留する大規模な国際軍の存在に、アフガニスタン各地の人々が抗議している。
抗議はアフガニスタンの首都カブールで起きた。
情報によれば、これはアフガニスタン駐留の外国軍隊の存在に対するその種の抗議としては最初のものだった。
BBCのレポートによれば、アフガニスタンの人々の軍隊に対する態度から、彼等が英軍の存在を嫌悪していることは明らかである。
このことから、英軍がアフガニスタンに留まる時期は過ぎたということがわかる。
●人権団体が嘆願書提出
アメリカの3つの人権団体（【憲法上の権利のためのセンター】、【人権クリニック】、【正義と国際法のためのセンター】）が、
不法逮捕されキューバに拘留されているタリバンとアラブ・ムジャヒディンに関する嘆願書を提出した。
嘆願書は、囚人たちに「戦時捕虜」の身分を与えること、ジュネーブ協定のプロトコルに従って囚人を処遇することを要求している。
嘆願書にはまた、「この人達の逮捕は違法であるから、彼等を母国に引き渡すべきだ。」、「囚人と親族の面会が許されないのは人権侵害だ。」と、ある。
スティーブン・コック少佐（米国海軍基地代表）はこの嘆願を拒絶し、
『この囚人達の扱いには少しばかりの慈悲も必要ない。彼等には既に囚人の身分があり、国際的赤十字が毎日彼らに面会することは許可されている。』と述べた。

AFGHAN PEOPLE PROTESTED AGAINST PRESENCE OF INTERNATIONAL INVASION FORCE
KABUL(Sana News) :
The natives of different cities of Afghanistan protested the against presence of International troops in large numbers within Afghanistan. This protest was held in the Afghan capital Kabul.
According to information this was the first protest of its kind against the presence of the International and foreign troops inside Afghanistan.
According to a BBC report, the people of Afghanistan dislike the presence of British troops on the land of Afghanistan which is obvious from their attitude towards the troops.
This proves that the time for British soldiers to stay in Afghanistan is coming to an end.
PETITION FILED AGAINST THE ARREST OF MUJAHIDEEN BY 3 HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS
GUANTANAMO BAY(Online) :
Three US based Human Rights Organizations have filed a petition against the illegal arrests and detention of Taliban and Arab Mujahideen in Cuba.
In this legal petition it was requested to grant the status of "Prisoners of War" to these prisoners.
Also, it requested to treat them according to the protocols of the Geneva convention.
The petition filed was from 3 human right organizations, including The Center for Constitutional Rights, Human Rights Clinic and Center for Justice and International Law.
The petition also said that the arrest of these men is illegal and thus they should be handed over to their respective countries.
Also, it is a violation of human rights that the relatives of these men are not allowed to meet.
The representative of the US naval base in Cuba, Major Stephen Cocks, rejected this legal petition and said that these prisoners should not be treated with any mercy, stating that they had already the status of prisoners and that the International Red Cross is allowed to meet them daily.
