●A-10イボイノシシ到着

米国軍隊は先週末アフガニスタンに10機のA-10ワーホッグ戦闘機から成る地上軍支援部隊を送った。これは明らかにムジャヒディン軍を攻撃する準備である。
軍用機は1,700人の英国コマンド（彼等は、4月中旬の米主導の対ムジャヒディン作戦の次フェーズまで地上で活動する）到着前に飛ばされた。
A-10戦闘機は少なくとも6個の500ポンド爆弾（225キロ爆弾）を搭載可能で、攻撃ヘリコプターよりも敵の目標に接近して囲むことが出来る。
A-10は飛び、比較的地表近くを攻撃出来る。
飛行機の到着は、前国王モハンマド・ザヒル・シャー（彼は亡命しローマに30年間滞在していたが、月曜日にカブールに帰還する予定だった。しかし、セキュリティに不安があるため帰国は延期された）の復帰のタイミングの不確実性と一致した。
バグラムは、アナコンダ作戦（最新の十字軍戦争最大の地上戦）とパクティアの東部地方のゴツゴツした山岳地帯の最高11,000フィート（3,350メートル）の地点で展開された軍事作戦の足場であった。
●バグラム空軍基地の地雷
バグラム（オンライン）：
カブール北のバグラムの米国基地は、およそ6,000人の兵士の家である。
其処はまた、世界で最も大量に地雷が敷設された地域の1つである。
「この地面は数インチ毎に潜在的に危険である。」と、地雷除去作戦担当の軍のスポークスマンが言った。
「地雷だけではなく、不発弾、ミサイル、迫撃砲、手榴弾の全てを扱わなくてはならない。全部が危険だ。」
多数のアフガニスタンと外国の侵略軍の兵士が地雷除去作業で死んだ。そのうちのいくつかはムジャヒディンが仕掛けたトラップだった。
しかしながら、ごく最近、米国はこの地域を激しく空爆した。その結果、クラスター爆弾の不発弾がたくさん撒き散らされた。
●パキスタン領内でもムジャヒディンを追う
米軍は、アフガニスタンから巧妙に脱出し、明らかにパキスタンの境界地域に集まっているムジャヒディンに対して何をすべきかという難問に直面している。
「1,000人程のタリバンとアラブ・ムジャヒディンがパキスタンにいて、アフガニスタンに戻る計画でいると予想している。」と、タリバンのメンバーとイスラム運動に精通している人たちは言う。
アメリカのアフガニスタン地上軍司令官フランク・ハーゲンベック少将は、米軍がムジャヒディンを追ってパキスタン領内に入るかもしれないことを示唆した。
軍当局および情報当局は、「春になり気候が良くなったので、この地域の敵戦士の活動が活発化することが予想される。」と、言う。
アフガニスタンの新設の国防省は、「緊急に国境パトロールを準備している」と、言う。
東部アフガニスタンで再組織しているムジャヒディンを攻撃する間に、米国の飛行機はトライバルエリアのパキスタン側にリーフレットを落とした。そして、トライバルエリアの住民に、これらの人々に如何なる保護も与えないよう訴えた。
しかしながら、自らの命を賭けることになろうとも、ムジャヒディンを愛し助けるイスラム教徒がパキスタンには未だに沢山いるようである。
他方、ムシャラフはペンタゴンに、パキスタンの空軍基地と領空の使用を認め、情報を共有して軍隊を国境に配備した。
アメリカ合衆国はパキスタンで囚人を尋問するが、そこで米軍が何をしているか？何人いるのか？については何も言わない。
パキスタンの教会で2人のアメリカ人を殺害した先週末の爆破事件の結果、アメリカ国務省は、大使館員の家族と重要な任務のない大使館員に帰国を命じ、他のアメリカ人にもパキスタンを去るよう促した。
国務省は、この決定は「パキスタンの能力（アメリカ人を保護する能力）に対する信頼の欠如」を反映するものではないと言った。
土曜日の全国向けの演説で、ムシャラフは、「ムシャラフのご主人様の身の上に起きた事件」に関して、そのような攻撃を防がなかったことで情報部に注意を与えた。
このウンマとDeen（信仰）を圧迫する人々を滅ぼし、たとえ不信心者と偽善者がそれを憎もうとも、信心する者たちに勝利を与えてくださいますようアッラーに願う。

US Warplanes Flown Into Afghan Base in Preparation for Further Offensives

The US Military flew ground support, consisting of ten A-10 ‘Warthog’ warplanes into Afghanistan over the weekend in apparent preparation for further attacks on Mujahideen forces.
The warplanes were flown in before the arrival of 1,700 British commandos, who are due to be on the ground and operational by mid-April in the next phase of U.S.-led operations against the Mujahideen.
The A-10 can carry at least six 500-lb (225 kg) bombs, more than attack helicopters, and loiter and circle close to enemy targets.
It can fly and attack relatively close to the ground.
The arrival of the planes coincided with uncertainty about the timing of the return of ex-King Mohammad Zahir Shah, who had been scheduled to arrive back in Kabul Monday after 30 years of exile in Rome, but was delayed due to security concerns.
Bagram was the staging post for Operation Anaconda, the biggest ground engagement of the latest Crusade War and a campaign fought at up to 11,000 feet (3,350 meters) in the rugged mountains of the eastern province of Paktia.
US Soldiers Afraid Over Mines at Bagram Air Base

The US Military base at Bagram, just north of Kabul, is home to some 6,000 soldiers.
It is also one of the most heavily mined areas in the world.
"Every inch of this ground is a potentially hazardous area," said one military spokesman who was the officer in charge of mine clearing operations.
"It's not just mines, it's also the unexploded bombs, missiles, mortars, hand grenades, and all of it has to be dealt with.
All of it poses a danger."
A number of Afghan and foreign invading troops have been killed as a result of mine clearing operations, of which some had been set as traps by the Mujahideen.
However, more recently, the area was heavily bombed by the US and hence unexploded cluster bombs litter many of the fields.
US To Pursue Mujahideen in Pakistan
The US military faces the difficult question of what to do about the Mujhaideen who tactfully withdrew from Afghanistan and are apparently gathering in the border regions of Pakistan.
They estimate that as many as 1,000 Taliban and Arab Mujahideen are in Pakistan and planning a comeback in Afghanistan, say Taliban members and others familiar with the Islamic movement.
U.S. field commander in Afghanistan, Maj.Gen. Frank Hagenbeck suggested that American troops might pursue the Mujahideen into Pakistan.
Military and intelligence officials say enemy fighters in the region are expected to step up activity in the spring as weather improves.
Afghanistan's newly established defense ministry says it is urgently setting up border patrols.
During the recent assault on the Mujahideen regrouping in eastern Afghanistan, US planes dropped leaflets over the Pakistani side, urging people not to shelter any of these people.
However, it seems that there are still many Muslims in Pakistan who love and help the Mujahideen, even if it means risking their own lives.
On the other hand, Musharraf let the Pentagon use Pakistan air bases and airspace, shared intelligence and put troops at the border.
The United States has interrogated prisoners in Pakistan, but has said little more about what US forces are doing there or how many are based there.
The bombing last weekend that killed two Americans at a Pakistani church prompted the US State Department to order dependents and nonessential embassy workers home from Pakistan and encourage other Americans to leave as well.
The department said the decision did not reflect a lack of confidence in Pakistan's ability to protect Americans.
In a national address Saturday, Musharraf admonished his intelligence agency for not preventing such attacks, on what have become Musharaf's masters.
We ask Allah to destroy those who oppress this Ummah and Deen and to give victory to the believers, even though the disbelievers and hypocrites may hate it.
