シオニズムに反対する正統派ユダヤ教徒は今日、世界の9ヶ所でイスラエル国旗を燃やしてプリム祭を祝った。
この象徴的な行為（国旗を燃やすこと）は、アメリカ、カナダ、イギリスと占領下のパレスチナで官憲の圧力に抗して行われた。
プリム祭は、ユダヤ民族の絶滅を画策したアマレク族のハマン（ペルシアのアハシュエロス王の大臣）を打ち破った記念祭である。
世界中のユダヤ人はこの祝日を祝い、あらゆる世代がアマレクとの戦いを続ける。
多くの人々が、今日のアマレクはシオニズムとそれを表すものであると信じている。そして今日、「悪の打倒」の象徴として公然とシオニストの旗を燃やす。
Neturei Karta International（シオニズムは異教であると考えるユダヤ正統派団体）のニューヨーク支部のスポークスマン ラビ・ワイス（Yisroel Dovid Weiss）は次のように語った。：

ラビ・ワイスは、旗を燃やすタイミングが特に重要であると言った。
「火曜日は、古代のプリム祭（悪と野蛮に対する信仰の勝利を思い起こす祭日）である。」
「シオニズムは、我々を追放者として受け入れることを拒否する。これは、形而上学的厚かましさである。
分散して住んでいる土地の愛国的な市民のままで、全ての人々と共に平和を追求していくことが世界中のユダヤ人の課題である。
これは聖地におけるパレスチナの主権を歓迎することを意味する。
したがって、我々はパレスチナの旗を携えて（シオニズムの）旗を焼くだろう。
平和への唯一の道は、シオニズムの否定である。
Orthodox Jews burn Israeli flag to mark holy day

Orthodox Jews opposed to Zionism today commemorated the religious festival of Purim by burning the Israeli flag in nine places world-wide.
The symbolic burnings took place against background of police pressure in the US, Canada, England and in occupied Palestine.
Purim is the commemoration of the destruction of Hayman from the tribe of Amalek whose aim was the destruction of the Jewish people.
Jews throughout the world celebrate this festival and continue with the fight against Amalek in every generation.
Many believe today's Amalek is Zionism and what it stands for and on this day Jews publicly burn the Zionist flag as a symbol of the destruction of evil.
Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, spokesman for the New York branch of Neturei Karta International, an orthodox grouping of Jews which considers Zionism to be a heresy said:
"The Zionist experiment has reached its inevitable conclusion.
Death tolls mount and no viable solution is in sight.
Slowly the Jewish people are awakening to the reality of Zionism, its rejection of Torah views of exile and redemption, combined with its aggressive stance towards Gentiles in general and Palestinians in particular."
"By burning the Israeli flag we are symbolically declaring that the Israeli state, contrary to its absurd claims, is not representative of the Jewish people.
In fact, its denial of our faith and its brutalization of the Palestinian people, renders it antithetical to Judaism."
Rabbi Weiss said the timing of the flag burning was particularly significant.
"Tuesday is Purim, a holiday remembering the victory of faith over barbarism and good over evil, in ancient times."
"Zionism refuses to accept our status as people in exile.
This is metaphysical impudence.
It is the task of world Jewry to remain patriotic citizens of the lands of their dispersion and pursue peace with all men.
In the Holy Land, this means welcoming Palestinian sovereignty over the land.
Accordingly, we will carry the Palestinian flag at the flag burnings.
The rejection of Zionism is the only path to peace.
