●ムジャヒディンの稲妻攻撃
カンダハル(イスラム・ニュース）：
ムジャヒディンは月曜日の夜、3時間にわたってカンダハル空港を猛攻撃した。
米軍は都市の境界線を閉鎖したが、ムジャヒディンは首尾よく逃げ切った。
月曜日の真夜中、ムジャヒディンはカンダハル空港の連合軍を攻撃し始めた。
ムジャヒディンは、ありとあらゆる大型武器と最近開発された自動器材を使って攻撃した。

●カブールの平和維持軍本部にミサイル攻撃
カブール(イスラム・ニュース）：
カブールの国際平和維持軍本部にミサイルが発射された。
ミサイルのうちの1つは本部から離れたところで爆発した。死者は報告されていない。
国際平和維持軍に緊張が忍びいっている。
新政府を指名するロヤ・ジルガの前にこの攻撃があったことから、国際平和維持軍のスポークスマン トニー・マーシャル空軍大尉は、この攻撃はアフガニスタン暫定政権の弱体化を目的としたものだと話した。
●マリク将軍とドスタム将軍が激突
サムンガン(特派員）：
北アフガニスタンのサムンガン地方で、国防副大臣ドスタム将軍とマリク将軍との間で戦闘が勃発した。
これまでに、両軍合わせて60名が死亡、数人の重傷者がでている。

Mujahideen Launch Lightning Raid on Kandahar Airport

KANDAHAR(Islam News) :
The Mujahideen launched a ferocious attack on Kandahar Airport for three continuous hours on Monday night.
The US forces closed the city boundaries, but the Mujahideen managed to safely escape.
At around midnight Monday, the Mujahideen launched their offensive against Coalition troops in Kandahar Airport.
The intense firing from the Mujahideen included all kinds of heavy weapons and recently developed automatic equipment.
Although no loss of live has been reported, following the attack, the Mujahideen managed to escape safely from the scene of the battle.
Coalition troops closed the whole city and imposed a curfew as a result of the assault.
According to latest reports, the curfew was imposed with Coalition troops placed at every key point in the city.
MISSILE ATTACK LAUNCHED AGAINST PEACEKEEPING FORCES' HEADQUARTERS IN KABUL
KABUL(Islam News) :
Missiles were fired against the International Peace Keeping Forces' headquarters in Kabul.
One of the missiles exploded some distance away from the headquarters and no loss of life was reported.
Tension is creeping in within the International Peace Keeping ranks.
Their spokesman, Flight Lieutenant Tony Marshal said that this attack was made to weaken the interim government of Afghanistan, as it came just before the Loya Jirga meeting which will appoint a new government.
HEAVY FIGHTING ERUPTS BETWEEN GENERAL MALIK AND GENERAL DOSTUM
SAMUNGAN(Special Correspondent):
In the Northern Afghan province of Samungan, war has erupted between Vice Defence Minister General Dostam and General Malik.
Sixty troops belonging to the two men have been killed thus far, while several others were reported to have been severely injured.
According to the latest reports received, there was no cease-fire in place.
Rabbani's commander Ata provided a military base for Malik for his troops.
Dostam criticised this and asked Rabbani to evacuate Malik's troops from Samungan, but Malik's troops refused upon which fighting started between the two opponents.
Analysts suspect that this war could easily spread to other regions.
