【スリナガル（インド）ＡＦＰ＝時事】
インドとパキスタンの領有権争いが続くカシミール地方で２３日未明、両国の国境警備要員間で銃撃戦が発生し、インド側とパキスタン側でそれぞれ民間人２人が死亡した。インド警察の説明では、事件を受け、現場周辺の多くの住民が避難を余儀なくされた。双方とも相手が先に発砲したと非難している。

About: An exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani forces in the disputed Kashmir region has left four people dead, two on each side of the border.
Several others were also injured in the gunfire near the city of Sialkot in the Pakistani side. Indian authorities say it was a retaliation for attacks by Pakistani forces on dozens of border posts. Indian villagers reportedly took shelter in bunkers during the gunfire.
Kashmir is divided between the two neighboring countries, with each claiming the disputed Himalayan region in its entirety. The two sides have largely followed a 2003 ceasefire accord, but sporadic violations occur every now and then. :
