Help Syrian refugees - give to CARE's Syria Crisis Appeal.
Syrian refugees speak out. American photographers Robert Fogarty and Ben Reece gave Syrian refugees living in Jordan felt-tip markers. They eagerly wrote messages to the world and its leaders on their arms. Then the photographers took their portraits.
Salam Kanaan, Country Director for CARE International in Jordan, said: “The suffering that Syrian refugees endure is appalling and heartbreaking. Through this project we wanted to highlight the voices of ordinary, innocent men, women and children whose lives have been devastated by this conflict. We hope these pictures with their simple messages make the world sit up and take notice.”
