The Addis Ababa City Education Bureau wound up its 19th conference on Friday.
Deputy Mayor and Information Bureau Head of Addis Ababa City, Kefyalew Azeze on the occasion said collaborative effort of governmental and nongovernmental organizations over the past years has enabled Ethiopia to restructure its curriculum and ensure equitable access to education.
He said a lot remains to be done before the newly introduced education quality package is successfully implemented in schools across the city.
He called for continuation of the ongoing joint efforts between teachers, students and parents in implementation of the package.
Teachers, directors, supervisors and schools with outstanding contribution in implementation of the education quality package were awarded on the occasion.
The conference concluded after adopting a joint resolution to scale up best practices and implement the package in a more effective way in the coming academic year.
Meanwhile, the Bureau officially launched its new educational FM radio station.
