警察関係者によると、死亡した警備員スティーブン・タイロン・ジョンズ氏は銃撃されて重傷を負い、搬送先の病院で死亡した。また犯人はメリーランド州在住の白人至上主義者ジェームズ・フォンブラン容疑者（８８）と判明し、応戦した他の警備員２人の銃弾で負傷し、同じ病院で手当てを受けた。
フォンブラン容疑者はホロコースト否定論者として知られ、「アンネの日記」がねつ造だとの主張を繰り返していた。犯行のタイミングは、日記を綴ったアンネ・フランクさんの生誕８０周年の２日前だった。

いくつかのニュース報道から、「フォン・ブラウンはネオナチで、この事件の
実行者」だというメディアによる“キャラクター設定”の刷り込みを疑問視

会話を交わしただろうか……というのが、この芝居のテーマだという。
初期の黒人解放運動（公民権運動）ではユダヤ人と黒人は協力関係にあったが、
公民権運動の高まりとともに、ユダヤ人勢力が黒人公民権運動に敵対する
ようになり、黒人とユダヤ人との緊張関係は、その後ながく米国内で続いていた。
実際、オバマの選挙運動に対して、ユダヤ人勢力には敵対する者も多く、
オバマをブラックパンサーやイスラム勢力のエージェントだと決めつけて
攻撃する声は、いまだに米国内のシオニスト勢力から出ている。
そのオバマが政権を取り、オバマばかりでなくローマ法王も中東訪問を
行なったがイスラエルのパレスチナ支配について、ますます非難が
高まっている現在、クリントン政権下の国防長官だったシオニストの
ロビイスト（＝コーエン）の目前で、発砲事件が起き、しかもそれに
よって妻ジャネットの芝居「アンネとエメット」が脚光を浴びるに到ったのは
なんとも奇妙なタイミングである。

June 10, 2009 -- James Von Brunn just may be an innocent man, and all Americans should remember that. Regardless of how we view his politics and personality, he is entitled to the presumption of innocence until convicted in a court of law before a jury of his peers.
Further, today's shootings at the DC Holocaust Museum bear some of the classic earmarks of a false flag operation. On 9/11 we saw US media fabricate a fairy tale of 19 Arab hijackers who brought down three World Trade Center buildings with two airplane strikes, and left a string of an incompetent clues so ham-handed that they looked planted -- and they were.
To learn the truth we learn to take our time, and look at several sources to compare contradictions.
Please examine this article from the BBC about the shootings, and pay close attention to the remarks of the female witness who says that there was a sound before JVB entered the building.

Mind you, I'm not asserting that this is a false flag operation, but neither am I discounting the possibility. I exhort Internet researchers to look into this carefully, and publish results. I shall be especially interested in videotaped evidence from the museum's camera system -- or will those photos, like the Pentagon impact photos of 9/11, be sequestered?

A gunman armed with a rifle has shot and killed a guard inside Washington DC's Holocaust museum before being wounded in turn, city police say.

The guard died of his injuries and the gunman is in critical condition, officials said after the incident which sowed panic among visitors.
Reports say the gunman is an American aged 88 with white supremacist links.
Thirty million people have visited the museum, located on the National Mall, since it opened in 1993.

Roads surrounding the museum have been closed.
A third person was hurt by broken glass, a fire official said.
Israel's embassy in Washington condemned the attack on the museum, saying it was "shocked and saddened".
US President Barack Obama was "saddened" by the incident, the White House said, adding that it "reminds us that we must remain vigilant against anti-Semitism and prejudice in all its forms".
●Suspect named
The dead security guard was named as Stephen Tyrone Johns, who had worked at the museum for six years and "died in the line of duty", the museum said.
Joseph Persichini, assistant director in charge of the Washington FBI field office, said the shootings were being investigated as a possible hate crime or a case of domestic terrorism.
Law enforcement officias have identified the suspect as James von Brunn.

Federal agents have been dispatched to his home in Annapolis, Maryland, to check his computer.
Metropolitan Police Chief Kathy Lanier said the gunman appeared to have acted alone.
He was "engaged by security guards immediately after entering the door" with a rifle, she said.
Earlier, Police Sergeant David Schlosser said the gunman had walked into the building carrying "a long gun".
"[He] fired at one of the security officers..." he told reporters.
"My understanding is that two other security officers at the museum returned gunfire at the man that had entered the museum."
A law enforcement official quoted by AP said Mr Von Brunn's vehicle had been found near the museum and was being tested for explosives.
AP's sources said the weapon used by the suspect was a .22-calibre rifle.
Mr Von Brunn has long been tied to extremist groups and served a prison sentence for taking a sawn-off shotgun, revolver and knife into Washington's Federal Reserve in 1981, when the board was meeting.
He has a racist, anti-Semitic website and has written a book about the "destruction of the White Race".

The museum was crowded with schoolchildren and other tourists at the time of the attack but all escaped injury.

James Von Brunn Apparently Part Of Obama "Birther" Movement

Among the myriad of disturbing qualities of James Von Brunn, the 88-year-old man who shot and killed a security officer inside the Holocaust Museum on Wednesday, is his apparent belief that Barack Obama is not a citizen of the United States and therefore has no right to the presidency.
The reason it sticks out is that, even among Von Brunn's other characteristics -- including heavy streaks of anti-Semitism, disdain for the federal government, and threads of white supremacy -- being a "birther" has a modicum of political credibility.
Certainly, the vast majority of people who are skeptical of Obama's birth in the state of Hawaii tend to be harmless conspiracy theorists. And there has been no suggestion that Von Brunn's distrust of the president's citizenship solely drove him to this violent act.
"In addition to being a birther," said Abraham Foxman, National Director of the Anti-Defamation League, "he also believed that Hitler didn't kill enough Jews. He had a history of anti-Semitic, hateful views."
Indeed a "birther" mindset is more a symptom of extremism than a cause.
That said, the extent to which the birther ethos has been driven into the political narrative by legitimate figures, and subsequently picked up by extremist elements, is noteworthy. In an obvious reference to questions about Obama's birthplace, Rep. Bill Posey, R-FL, has introduced a bill in the House requiring presidential candidates to file a copy of their birth certificates. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-V.A, has joined him as a co-sponsor of that measure.
Several weeks ago, conservative reporter Lester Kinsolving, asked Robert Gibbs why the president would not "respond to the petition to requests of 400,000 American citizens by releasing a certified copy of his long-form birth certificate listing hospital?"
Outside political circles, but still within the national spotlight, the view is much more widely articulated. As late as two weeks ago, for instance, Fox News was running a headline on its website, asking: "Should Obama Release Birth Certificate? Or Is This Old News?" On Wednesday morning, moreover, talk show host Rush Limbaugh sardonically compared President Obama to God, noting that, "God does not have a birth certificate either."
Remarks like these aren't inherently violent. They can be picked up, however, by individuals who are.
"I think it is perfectly obvious that the birther movement has gained a large following on the radical right," said Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center. "It may have emerged form the right wing of the Republican Party. But the reality is that it has been adopted by the most noxious elements out there and certainly John Von Brunn represents that element."

Gunman, 88, in critical condition after being shot by security officers

A man, identified by NBC News as James Wennecker von Brunn,
walked into the Holocaust Museum and exchanged gunfire
with a security guard, according to U.S Park Police.

WASHINGTON -- An 88-year-old gunman with ties to white supremacist groups stormed into the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum Wednesday where he fatally wounded a guard before he was shot by other officers, police said.
The man, identified by NBC News as James Wennecker von Brunn, parked his car with a handicapped placard on the street and allegedly walked into the museum on 14th Street carrying a .22-caliber rifle, and exchanged gunfire with a security guard about 10 minutes before 1 p.m., according to U.S Park Police Sgt. David Schlosser. Two other security guards then fired upon the gunman, reportedly striking him in the head, critically wounding him.
"The guy came in with a shotgun and started shooting at the police officers," one witness said. "He had a Confederate hat on. We thought it was a joke or something."
Washington Police Chief Cathy Lanier said the gunman was "engaged by security guards immediately after entering the door" with a rifle. "The second he stepped into the building he began firing."
D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty said the gunman was in critical condition at a local hospital. The slain security guard, Stephen Tyrone Johns, 39, was transported to a hospital in grave condition and later died. A third person suffered minor injuries, possibly from broken glass, and was treated at the scene, said Alan Etter, of D.C. Fire and EMS.
"There are no words to express our grief and shock over today’s events," said Holocaust Museum Director Sara Bloomfield. "It is my sad duty to inform you of the passing of Officer Stephen Tyrone Johns, who died heroically in the line of duty today. He served on the Museum’s security staff for six years. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Officer Johns’s family."
Bloomfield said the museum would be closed Thursday in Johns' honor, and flags would be flown at half staff -- as the White House condemned the latest act of domestic terrorism.
"This outrageous act reminds us that we must remain vigilant against anti-Semitism and prejudice in all its forms," President Barack Obama said. "No American institution is more important to this effort than the Holocaust Museum, and no act of violence will diminish our determination to honor those who were lost by building a more peaceful and tolerant world."
Two police sources said von Brunn, who has written a book and several Internet polemics detailing his rage against both Judaism and Christianity, has connections with white supremacist organizations and anti-government groups.
When von Brunn was captured he possessed a list he had made of lawmakers on Capitol Hill, according to another law enforcement officer who requested anonymity. The purpose of the list was not immediately clear, the official said.
Sources told NBC that the alleged gunman was born in 1920. His last known address was Annapolis, Md. Police are searching that home for clues about Wednesday's attack.
Von Brunn has a racist, anti-Semitic Web site and wrote a book titled "Kill the Best Gentiles," alleging a Jewish conspiracy "to destroy the white gene pool." Writings attributed to von Brunn on the Internet say the Holocaust was a hoax.
In 1983, he was convicted of attempting to kidnap members of the Federal Reserve Board and served more than six years in prison. He was arrested two years earlier outside the room where the board was meeting, carrying a revolver, knife and sawed-off shotgun. At the time, police said von Brunn wanted to take the members hostage because of high interest rates and the nation's economic difficulties.
Navy enlistment records, provided by the National Personnel Records Center, indicate a 21-year-old von Brunn signed up for military service on April 29, 1942, as an apprentice seaman. Almost a year later, von Brunn accepted an appointment in the Naval Reserves to become a midshipman. He listed his reason for signing up as "patriotic," documents show, after spending three years in college. Navy records show he had language qualifications in English and French.
The Holocaust Museum normally has a heavy security presence with guards positioned both inside and outside. All visitors are required to pass through metal detectors at the entrance, and bags are screened. It is unknown if the shooting took place before or after the metal detectors, according to Park Police.
One witness said she heard three gunshots inside the museum. She said she heard one shot, then heard a security guard yell, "Run upstairs!" followed by at least two more shots.
The mother of a Massachusetts teenager said students on a school trip to the museum heard several gunshots before they were evacuated from the building. Sandy Perkins said her daughter, Abigail, called her shortly after the shooting. Abigail told her mother that some of her friends were very shaken, but all were otherwise fine.
The teens did not see where the shots were coming from before they were safely evacuated to buses outside the museum.
The museum, located just off the National Mall near the Washington Monument, is a popular tourist attraction. It draws about 1.7 million visitors each year.
Former Senator and Secretary of Defense William Cohen was just inside the door of the Holocaust Museum when the shooting took place, NBC News reported. He was waiting for his wife, Janet Langhart Cohen, who has written and directed a one-act play that was to be performed at the Holocaust Museum Wednesday night. The performance is now being rescheduled for Thursday evening.
Langhart Cohen's play is called "Anne and Emmett;" an imagined conversation between Anne Frank and Emmett Till. It was being performed as part of a commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Anne Frank's birth.
"This is what the play is about," Cohen said. "It's about hate."
