Mass grave of 13 people − including two women − found south of al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 9:42pm Baghdad time Friday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a group of peasants found 13 bodies that had been buried in the Zawbi‘ area south of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah − which is 7km southwest of the city of al-Fallujah (60km west of Baghdad).
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the peasants found the bodies in a mass grave in one of the gardens in Zawbi‘. Among the remains were the bodies of two women.

US admits one soldier killed in bomb attack on American patrol Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:37pm Baghdad time Friday night, the Aswat al-‘Iraq news agency, which was set up by Reuters and the U.N. Development Agency, reported that the US military had announced that one more of its soldiers had been killed in eastern Baghdad.
Aswat al-‘Iraq reported the American statement as saying that a bomb went off in eastern Baghdad by a passing US patrol on Friday, killing one soldier and wounding two more of them
US admits deaths of three more American troops in Iraq Wednesday, Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:33pm Baghdad time Friday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the US military admitted that three more of its troops had been killed in occupied Iraq.
The AMSI reported a statement by the US occupation forces as saying that one statement issued by the US military occupation authorities said that a Special Forces soldier was killed by hostile fire in Baghdad on Thursday, 16 August. A second American soldier wounded in that attack was treated on the scene and returned to duty, the statement added.
A second US communique´ announced that another American soldier had been killed in what it called a “non-combat incident” in Baghdad also on 16 August − the second “non-combat” death on Thursday announced by the US.
Meanwhile the Pentagon announced that another American soldier, a member of an airborne unit, had been killed in combat somewhere in Diyala Province on Wednesday, 15 August.

Resistance battles US troops in at-Tarimiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:56pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a US military position in at-Tarimiyah, with machine guns and rockets, killing a soldier.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Americans announced that they responded to that attack by sending an aircraft which fired a “Hellfire” missile at Resistance fighters on the roof of the at-Tarimiyah mosque. An American spokesman claimed that the attack only inflicted minor damage to the mosque itself. He added that the Americans arrested 20 people after the battle with the Resistance men.

Kirkuk.
Mysterious explosion wounds 25 in Kirkuk Thursday night.
In a dispatch posted at 9:42pm Baghdad time Friday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a bomb exploded in the Ahmad Agha Market in the city of Kirkuk, 255km north of Baghdad on Thursday evening.
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet security forces as saying that 25 civilians were wounded in the mysterious explosion, five of those severely.
