Resistance kills US soldier in al-Anbar US admits Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:55pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military admitted on Thursday that one more of its troops had been killed in al-Anbar Province.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American announcement added that an investigation into the death was underway. In keeping with the US policy of hiding the facts concerning American losses in Iraq, the US statement failed to specify even where in the 138,501 square kilometers of al-Anbar the attack occurred.
Iraqi Resistance bomb kills US soldier in Baghdad Wednesday, US admits.
In a dispatch posted at 2:57pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the US military admitted that one more American soldier had been killed and four more wounded in Baghdad.
The AMSI reported that the American command issued an announcement on Wednesday night, indicating that the casualties occurred when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on combat operations in the western part of Baghdad on Wednesday, 7 August.

American casualties reported as Resistance bomb rips through US Humvee north of Ba‘qubah Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:57pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol to the north of Ba‘qubah at dawn Thursday.
The AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted at the al-Jazirah crossing in the ‘Arab Jabbur village area, went off when a US patrol passed by. The blast set one Ameican Humvee ablaze, killing a number of US troops aboard it, the witnesses said. As of the time of reporting, the Americans had issued no statement on the attack.

Britain admits two more British troops killed in bomb attack in ar-Rumayli oilfields early Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 6:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb planted by the side of a road near the ar-Rumaylah oilfields to the west of al-Basrah in southern Iraq blew up by a British convoy shortly after midnight.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack left two British troops dead and two more of them severely wounded. With these latest casualties Britain has admitted to losing four of its occupation troops in about 48 hours.
