Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Fallujah.
Civilian deaths on the rise in al-Fallujah as America tightens lockdown of the city. Vehicle ban now extended to animal carts and push carts following Resistance attack using horse cart on US patrol.
In a dispatch posted at 2:51pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces intensified their lockdown of the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, extending the curfew they had imposed on the city for a second straight month.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the puppet security forces in the city as saying that the American troops banned all cars and bicycles and motorcycles of all sorts two months ago. On Monday the Americans drive through the city broadcasting new, more stringent restrictions over their mobile loudspeakers. From now on until further notices animal-drawn carts and the carts pushed by vegetable sellers are also covered by the ban.
The tightening of the restrictions followed an Iraqi Resistance attack in which an explosives-laden horse cart blew up by a US patrol in the al-Azrakiyah farm area to the northwest of al-Fallujah.
An officer in the al-Fallujah puppet police announced that the residents of the city are feeling more and more pressure, particularly since the American lockdown means that there is no electricity during the hot summer, nor any running water, nor any supply of cooking gas.
For his part, Shaykh ‘Abdallah al-Qaysi , the Imam of a local mosque said that life had been completely paralyzed by the American lockdown of the city and that the numbers of people dying as a result of the restrictions was rising rapidly. Shaykh al-Qaysi accused the puppet regime of intentionally wanting to harm the people of the city by giving the green light to the Americans to do whatever they want with the residents, since al-Fallujah is Sunni but the US installed puppet rulers of Iraq are Shi‘i sectarian fundamentalists.
Kubaysah.
US forces carry out mass raids, arrests in Kubaysah for fourth straight day.
In a dispatch posted at 9:38am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US forces locked down the city of Kubaysah, 185km northwest of Baghdad, on Friday and the city remained shut down on Monday, the fourth day of the American assault on the city’s residents.
The AMSI reported that US troops surrounded the city and began carrying out mass raids, assaults, and arrests of local residents. As of Monday about the Americans had abducted about 50 people from their homes and taken them off to captivity in the nearby US base. The American blockade on the city and attacks on the population were still under way Monday.
Baghdad.
US-backed militia in al-‘Amiriyah in Baghdad murder six civilians Sunday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 8:44pm Baghdad time Monday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US-backed “al-‘Amiriyah Revolutionary” militiamen backed up by US occupation troops killed six individuals and wounded two more on al-Madayif street in the Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah Sunday afternoon.
The AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that the American-backed gunmen, who have turned the at-Tikriti Mosque in al-‘Amiriyah into the headquarters that they share with the puppet “Iraqi National Guard,” attacked and killed the six people on the street that is a major market center in the district.
Local residents regard the “al-‘Amiriyah Revolutioanries” − who are one of the local groups that the US has recruited to serve as security forces − as bandits and murderers because they regularly raid houses and rob them in addition to arresting and killing local residents as they supposedly enforce the control of the US occupation troops over the district.
It was the so-called “al-‘Amiriyah Revolutionaries” who recently captured an elderly man and took him to their headquarters in the at-Tikriti Mosque, where they beat and then killed him.
Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in puppet “Interior Ministry” car gun down Sunni religious scholar, four students.
In a dispatch posted at 3:35pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militiame, loyal to fundamentalist cleric Muqtada as-Sadr, shot and killed a Sunni religious leader and four of his students as they were driving their car in the Baghdad district of al-Washshash.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that masked Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian gunmen dressed in black and driving a car with puppet “Interior Ministry” markings attacked the car carrying Shaykh ‘Umar ‘Abd al-Qadir, a professor of Hadith Studies and four of his students. The Shaykh and his pupils were all killed on the spot and the sectarian attackers fled the scene.
US admits one more of its soldiers killed in Iraq on Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:50pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military had announced that one more of its soldiers died when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a joint patrol of American soldiers and their Iraqi puppet army allies in Baghdad on Saturday.
Bombs in al-Karradah kill 10, puppet police claim.
In a dispatch posted at 12:19pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two car bombs exploded in the al-Karradah neighborhood of central Baghdad on Monday.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet police as declaring that a one car bomb went off near the puppet government offices in al-Karradah that issues identity cards to Iraqis. The second explosives-laden care blew up in a crowded shopping area in al-Karradah.
The puppet police announced that at least 10 people were killed − two of them puppet policemen − and 15 more wounded in the two separate bomb attacks.
In their dispatch posted at 12:07pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported witnesses as saying that the first explosives-packed car was driven by an individual into the Immigration department building in al-Karradah. The AMSI reported that the other car bomb had been parked on a street in the district.
Mysterious bus bomb kills civilian on Baghdad’s al-Kifah Street Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:34pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a mysterious bomb blew up in a passenger bus in the al-Kifah Street area in al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad, before noon Monday.
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb, which had been planted aboard a Coaster Bus, killed one civilian and wounded seven more.
Shi‘i sectarian torture, murder spree continues: 16 more bodies found dumped around Baghdad Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 8:23am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the Iraqi puppet police on Sunday recovered the bodies of 16 more victims of sectarian murder that had been dumped in various parts of Baghdad.
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” as saying that patrols of the US-backed puppet police picked up 12 of the bodies in al-Karakh and four more in ar-Rusafah. The bodies were bound and blindfolded and shoed signs of torture. They had been shot to death.
Torture is a trademark of the Shi‘i sectarian militias and of the US-backed security forces, most of whose members have been drawn from those Shi‘i sectarian militias. They are engaged in a campaign of wholesale purging of Sunnis from southern and eastern Iraq in order to prepare for the eventual partition of Iraq in keeping with strategies drawn up the US and Zionist think tanks.
Efforts to split Iraq along religious and ethnic lines are part of the plans that US and Zionist politicians have long been cultivating with a view to fragmenting the Arab region.
The idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veteran Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)
The idea of splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”
The American version of the strategy for a partition of Iraq appeared in the article “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003 by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations). The same idea was reiterated, this time with “bi-partisan support” in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006.
Then on 8 October 2006 the London Sunday Times reported that the partition of Iraq along religious and ethnic lines was one of the suggestions that the Baker-Hamilton commission was advancing.
US shuts down district in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah area Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 8:19am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US occupation forces sealed off the Raghibah Khatun area of al-A‘zamiyah in northern Baghdad on Monday morning.
The AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that American troops closed the area at dawn, preventing people from moving about the district and from going to work. US military vehicles deployed in large numbers in the district’s neighborhoods as swarms of American helicopter gun ships flying at low altitude filled the skies overhead. The witnesses said that the reason for the American actions was unknown.
The Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah was locked down by US forces last week on several occasions after US military vehicles had come under Resistance attacks.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported media sources in Ba‘qubah as saying that the American vehicles were destroyed when the Resistance attacked the US occupation forces in the at-Tahrir section of the city on Saturday, sparking a two-hour gun battle. The sources said that the four vehicles consisted of a tank and three Humvees. All were hauled, under heavy guard, to the US-occupied al-Mansuriyah base outside the center of the province.
No journalists were permitted to photograph or film the wrecked vehicles as it is American policy to conceal the facts regarding US losses in occupied Iraq.

All five − Muhammad, his wife, and their three children − were killed on the spot.
Dr. al-Mashhadani said that the American Marines then left the car to burn, not allowing ambulances to approach and pull the victims from the blazing vehicle, claiming that the car had been a “car bomb” and that the man, his wife and their three children had been “terrorists.”

Iraqi Resistance shoots down helicopter over al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted on its website Monday, Quds Press reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US helicopter in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil on Monday.
QudsPress reported an officer in the puppet police as saying that there was fierce fighting between Resistance men and US troops in the Sumar neighborhood of al-Mawsil. US helicopter gun ships flew in to take part in the battle and one of them came under ground fire, causing it to crash.
Eyewitnesses, for their part, said that the American aircraft took a hit from a shoulder-launched rocket fired by one of the Resistance men. The explosion caused the helicopter to catch fire and crash outside the city. No information on the fate of the crew was available.
US forces closed off the area and numerous other helicopters were seen hovering above the city to provide cover for the US troops engaged in the search for the crashed aircraft.

The British did assert, however, that British troops in the al-Barradi‘i headquarters killed a number of armed attackers when the latter assaulted the British position on Sunday night. The British announcement said that the British forces fired a rocket at the source of incoming fire, killing an unspecified number of the attackers.
