The AMSI reported a source in the puppet security forces as saying that the Resistance men ambushed a patrol of puppet police belonging to the al-Kuhli tribe in eastern ‘Anah. No in formation on the nature or extent of casualties was available because US occupation troops, who arrived on the scene after the attack, closed off the entire area to prevent information leaking out.

Speeding puppet soldier loses control of vehicle, flips, killing four puppet troops near Rawah midday Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:21pm Baghdad time Sunday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that four puppet army soldiers were killed and three more of them wounded in a traffic accident in the city of Rawah, 315km northwest of Baghdad at midday, Sunday.
The AMSI reported a source in the Rawah puppet police as saying that the accident took place when a pick up belonging to the puppet Iraqi army was driving at high speed towards a checkpoint by the main Rawah Bridge on the road that runs from Baghdad to the town of al-Qa’im near the Syrian border. The pickup was evidently going too fast for its driver to keep the vehicle under control and it flipped over, totally destroying the vehicle, the source announced.
Baghdad.
Mysterious motorcycle bombing kills civilians in Baghdad Sunday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Baghdad time Sunday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a booby-trapped motorcycle blew up in the middle of Baghdad after noon on Sunday killing five civilians by preliminary count.
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the explosives-laden motorcycle had been parked on Bab al-Mu‘azzam Square in the middle of Baghdad. The blast, the reason for which was unclear, damaged three private cars that were also in the area.

In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Baghdad time Sunday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the Iraqi puppet police found the body of Captain Hamad Sa‘di, the Director of the puppet police station in the southern Baghdad district of al-Bayya‘.
The AMSI reported that puppet Captain Sa‘di was captured by armed men on Saturday and his body was found dumped on Fourth Stret in southwestern Baghdad on Sunday.
Puppet “Interior Ministry” general shot in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 6:46pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men opened fire on Brigadier General Falah Khalaf of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” in northeastern Baghdad.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attackers ambushed General Khalaf in the Ur neighborhood, located between the Madinat ath-Thawrah disticrt (nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” after the US occupation) and al-A‘zamiyah spraying his car with a hail of bullets.
Resistance fighter drives explosives-laden minibus into meeting of US-backed “al-Anbar Salvation Council” in Baghdad, killing five collaborationist leaders.
In a dispatch posted at 6:04pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fighter drove an explosives-laden minibus into a house and blew up killing five members of the US-backed collaborationist “al-Anbar Salvation Council.”
Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the puppet police as saying that leaders of collaborationist “Salvation Council” were holding a meeting in the Jurf al-Milh area near the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji, about 20km to the north of Baghdad proper. The pro-American Sunni politicians from al-Anbar Province were discussing how to merge their militias with US and Iraqi puppet regime forces in combat against the Iraqi Resistance.
The source said that by preliminary count, the explosion killed five of the collaborationist leaders, but it was expected that the death toll would increase as 12 other “Salvation Council” leaders were wounded in the attack.
A source in the Iraqi puppet army reported that the Sunday gathering of the al-Anbar collaborationists came after they had met with local Shi‘i collaborationist leaders in at-Taji on Friday. The source said that both meetings were being held under the auspices of the US occupation forces, but there was no word regarding US casualties in the Sunday attack.
The “al-Anbar Salvation Council” was formed at a US-sponsored meeting known as the “Congress of al-Anbar Awakening” held in August 2006. The nominal purpose of the group was to resist al-Qa‘idah, but in fact the group has joined its efforts with those of the US in fighting all opponents of the American occupation.
Puppet regime lawyer discloses: US holds 36,000 Iraqi Prisoners.
In a dispatch posted at 1:36pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the Chairman of the puppet “Legal Support Committee” for the so-called “imposition of law,” lawyer Jasim al-Bahadili, disclosed that the US occupation forces are holding 36,000 Iraqi prisoners.
Al-Bahadili said on Sundaty that the Americans are not allowing lawyers or relatives of the captives to visit any of the prisons that the Americans run, in particular Camp Bucca, Susah, or the prison camp set up at Saddam International Airport in Baghdad. Al-Badhadili said that those prisoners’ cases are not investigated until six months after their incarceration, a delay that constitutes “a massive violation of the law.”
Al-Bahadili pointed out that the US occupation forces have added a new prison to their Camp at Saddam International Airport so as to accommodate the captives they had been holding in Susah in northern Iraq.
As is the case with the entire American occupation of Iraq, Washington has wrapped the fate of prisoners in Iraq in a cloak of secrecy, concealing even such basic facts as the numbers and locations of the tens of thousands of Iraqis imprisoned by the American forces since the US invasion. On 10 June 2007 Shadha al-‘Abbusi, a woman deputy in the American-installed puppet “Iraqi Parliament,” announced that 40,000 people were being held in prisons in Iraq − 20,000 by the US occupation troops and 20,000 by the puppet regime’s security forces − and she described the conditions of their imprisonment as “tragic.” In December 2006, the office of Shaykh ‘Abd as-Salam al-Kubaysi reported that there were 37,000 prisoners in Iraq and said that they were being subjected to a “slow death.”
Al-Bahadili’s disclosure that the American forces were now holding 36,000 Iraqi prisoners appeared to indicate that the figure of 20,000 cited one month earlier had been a gross understatement, or that the Americans had imprisoned thousands more Iraqis in the intervening weeks.

Resistance bomb explodes by US column near al-Iskandariyah Saturday night.
In a dispatch posted at 10:14am Baghdad time Sunday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the area of al-Iskandariyah, 40km south of Baghdad on Saturday night.
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet police as saying on Sunday that the bomb set one of the US vehicles on fire, and American troops were seen pulling their wounded comrades out of it.
Afterwards, the US forces surrounded the area, making it impossible to ascertain any further information regarding the nature or extent of casualties.

Bomb attack targets joint US-Polish patrol near ad-Diwaniyah.

Afterwards, the source said, the US and Polish troops shut down the ad-Diwaniyah - an-Najaf highway for 10 minutes as helicopter gun ships flew in to search for the attackers.
The US military neither confirmed nor denied the report of the attack.
