Repeated Resistance attacks on US troops prompt Americans to impose curfew on ‘Anah.
In a dispatch posted on its website Saturday, Quds Press reported that US forces imposed a curfew on the city of ‘Anah, 300km northwest of Baghdad, following a series of Iraqi Resistance attacks on the American occupation troops.
In an exclusive interview with Quds Press a source in the Iraqi puppet security serives said that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the eastern part of ‘Anah on Saturday morning. The blast destroyed a Humvee.
In another incident, Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons ambushed a patrol of US and Iraqi puppet police forces in the middle of ‘Anah. The source had no information on the nature or extent of casualties or losses in that attack.
Resistance fighters also assaulted a home belonging to members of the puppet police force who also belonged to the al-Kuhli tribe. A firefight erupted between the Resistance men and the puppet policemen. US troops intervened, ending the battle.
The source added that armed men also blew up a coffee house and billiard lounge in ‘Anah and added that it was in the wake of all these attacks that the Americans ordered the lockdown on the city.

Tariq ‘Aziz collapses unconscious in notorious American prison camp, is rushed to Balad Hospital for treatment.
In a dispatch posted at 8:53pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a crisis in the health of Iraqi Deputy Premier Tariq ‘Aziz forced his transfer from an American prison camp to a hospital in the city of Balad, about 70km north of Baghdad. Tariq ‘Aziz, who is 71 years old, has been held without trial or charge by the American occupation forces since April 2003. Until his transfer to the hospital in Balad he was a prisoner at the American Camp Cropper near Saddam International Airport outside Baghdad. Camp Cropper was established by the American occupation forces shortly after their invasion of Iraq and was designed to serve as a prison for top Iraqi officials. At the present time, however, since the Resistance movement has swept the country, some 2,000 prisoners are said to be confined in the American prison camp.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported Ziyad ‘Aziz, the Iraqi Deputy Premier’s son, as saying in ‘Amman, Jordan, that on Tuesday he had received a communication from his father telling him that he had passed out and the American prison doctor and the director of the facility had agreed to send him to the Balad Hospital.
Tariq ‘Aziz told his son that the prison doctor examined him after his loss of consciousness. He then reviewed ‘Aziz’s file and after seeing that the Deputy Premier had suffered a stroke in 2002, he decided to have him transferred to the hospital.
Ziyad ‘Aziz said that his father had contacted them again at about noon on Saturday. He said that his voice was weak, but he told his son that he was receiving outstanding care.
In response to the situation Ziyad ‘Aziz asked, “is it reasonable that a sick elderly man who is 71 years of age should be held in prison with no charges?”
US admits death of another American soldier.
In a dispatch posted at 1pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military had announced the death of another one of its soldiers.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US issued a communique´ in which it announced the death of a soldier who had been wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by his patrol in Diyala Province.
US forces carry out savage raid on AMSI headquarters in Baghdad before dawn Saturday.
In a bulletin posted at 9:43am Baghdad time Saturday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a large force of US occupation troops with tanks and armored vehicles and under heavy air cover first surrounded the headquarters of AMSI in the al-‘Adl neighborhood of western Baghdad on Saturday morning and then stormed inside.
The AMSI reported that the Americans raided the headquarters of the highest Sunni Muslim religious organization in the country 15 minutes before the dawn prayer Saturday. The Americans entered the AMSI offices and as is standard American practice, smashed and tore up everything they found there, including computers, furniture, and files. They broke open storage rooms and sole what was in them and arrested everyone who was in the headquarters at the time, hauling them away to one of their headquarters.
The Americans stole all the computers in the AMSI offices and then severely beat all the staff before arresting them.
AMSI reported that the savage American raid was a retaliation for AMSI’s consistent position of opposing the occupation. The AMSI headquarters has been raided several times in the past by the Americans, and each time the troops have behaved in the same barbaric way.
In a follow-up bulletin posted at 10:23am Baghdad time Saturday morning, the AMSI reported that the Americans had arrested a total of 11 guards and other employees at the headquarters of the organization.
The statement reported that in addition to stealing the AMSI office’s computers, the Americans smashed other electronic devices and tossed them in the mosque gardens.

US troops raid home, execute two young Iraqi men in Samarra’.
In a dispatch posted on its website Saturday, Quds Press reported that US forces executed two Iraqi youths to the south of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad after a Resistance attack on the Americans’ unit.
In an exclusive interview with Quds Press a source in the puppet security forces said that Resistance men armed with rockets attacked a US patrol in the agricultural area to the south of Samarra’, destroying a Humvee. The source said that the Americans responded to the attack by firing indiscriminately around the area, and then they stormed into civilian houses near the scene and arrested two young men.
The US troops bound the young Iraqis, stood them by a wall and executed them, the source said. Quds Press noted that Samarra’ has been the scene of a continuous fight between Resistance men and US troops, in the course of which the Americans have been frequently rounding up, arresting, and executing people randomly in retaliation for the relentless Resistance attacks.
