Resistance batters US al-Habbaniyah base with 20 heavy mortar shells in fiercest attack in three months.

In a dispatch posted at 6:15pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US-occupied al-Habbaniyah base, about 70km west of Baghdad, on Wednesday morning, in what was the fiercest attack in three months.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet security services as saying that nearly 20 heavy 120mm mortar rounds blasted into the American-occupied base. The barrage sent thick clouds of smoke billowing into the sky over the US facility as sirens wailed inside.

One of the largest US bases in occupied Iraq, the al-Habbaniyah facility is frequently bombarded by the Iraqi Resistance.

‘Akashat.

Resistance truck bomber blasts into US troops in ‘Akashat in far western Iraq.

In a dispatch posted on its website Wednesday, Quds Press reported that an Iraqi Resistance fighter drove an explosives-laden truck into a detachment of US troops near the phosphate complex in the area of ‘Akashat in far western Iraq near the border with the Syrian province of Dayr az-Zawr.

Quds Press reported a source in the Iraqi puppet security forces as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter blew up his truck bomb near the phosphate complex, killing and wounding several American troops and igniting a fire in a large fuel depot inside the complex.

US troops rushed to close off the area to keep people from learning of the casualties, as is standard American practice. Several American helicopters were seen hovering in the sky over the area looking out for other possible attackers.

The US forces and their Iraqi puppet allies had declared a state of emergency in all of al-Anbar Province after they received information that dozens of Resistance fighters had come into the area and were preparing for new attacks on the Americans and their stooges.

Baghdad.

Shi‘i sectarian murder, torture spree continues: 24 more bodies found dumped around Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted on its website Wednesday, Quds Press reported that the Iraqi puppet police had retrieved 24 more bodies of victims of sectarian torture and murder that had been dumped in various parts of Baghdad.

Quds Press reported a source as saying that most of the bodies were found in al-Karakh and the other three in ar-Rusafah. They were bound and blindfolded and showed signs of severe torture. All had been shot, most of them in the head.

Torture is a trademark of the Shi‘i sectarian militias and the US-backed puppet security forces, most of whose members are drawn from those sectarian militias that have collaborated with the US occupation since it began in spring 2003.

Quds Press reported that with this latest batch of bodies, the toll of torture murder victims picked up in Baghdad in July now stands at 319 bodies, according to the official figures of the puppet police.

Puppet “Iraqi National Guards” butcher two men in full view of passers by a checkpoint in Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:03pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a group of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” ambushed and killed two men as they came out of the Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah in Baghdad Wednesday morning.

The AMSI reported that a detachment of puppet “National Guards” accompanied by men in masks parked their four Humvees and set themselves up in a building near the al-Ahbar checkpoint in al-‘Amiriyah on Wednesday morning.

The witnesses said that when two men emerged from al-‘Amiriyah, the puppet “Guards” attacked them and began severely beating them with their rifle butts. Then in full view of passers by, the puppet “Guards” drew knives and butchered the two captives. The witnesses said they had seen the “Guards” slit the men’s throats and saw their blood pool on the ground.

The puppet “National Guards” then put the beheaded bodies in two bags and threw them in the back of their vehicles and then drove off into al-‘Amiriyah.

Puppet “Interior Ministry” troops murder man, beat up his wife at checkpoint after he objected to their behavior.

In a dispatch posted at 2:13pm Baghdad time Wednesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that puppet regime troops killed a man and beat up his wife at the al-Ahbar checkpoint in the al-‘Amiriyah neighborhood of west Baghdad midday Wednesday.

The AMSI correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that an Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry” soldier took a man out of his car at the checkpoint on the main street between al-Khadra’ and al-‘Amiriyah. The soldier started to beat up the driver and then another one of the checkpoint soldiers came over and joined in the beating.

The witnesses said that the attack began as a shouting match between the puppet soldiers and the driver who loudly objected to the kind of verbal abuse that they were showering on the people passing through the roadblock.

The witnesses said that when the puppet troops told the officer in charge of the checkpoint that the driver had insulted them, the officer drew his pistol and fired three shots into the man’s head, killing him instantly.

The troops attacked the man’s wife, pulling her out of the car and yanking off her headscarf, the incident having put her into shock.

The witnesses said that the puppet “Interior Ministry” troops then addressed the people in the area who had seen the crime and told them, “that’s what happens to anyone of objects.”

US air raids on Baghdad neighborhood leave seven civilians dead.

In a dispatch posted at 12:41pm Baghdad time midday Wednesday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that about seven civilians were killed and another 11 wounded when US aircraft attacked the al-Fadl neighborhood of Baghdad on Monday.

The AMSI reported eyewitnesses who live in al-Fadl as saying that the American aircraft attacked civilian houses, in an area where US troops together with their puppet army and Shi‘i sectarian militia allies have ceaselessly been raiding for months. Dozens of civilians have been killed in the many attacks that the US has led on the area.

US admits three more American troops killed in occupied Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 11:37pm Baghdad time Wednesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the US military had admitted that one more of its soldiers had been killed the day before when a bomb exploded somewhere in Baghdad.

The AMSI reported that the Americans admitted that four other US troops had been wounded when the bomb went off near their patrol.

Earlier, in a dispatch posted at 11:56am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military admitted that two more of its soldiers were killed in an Iraqi Resistance attack in western Baghdad.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military issued a communique´ on Wednesday in which it announced that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near a US truck that was on military operations. The blast killed two American troops, the American statement said.

Poland admits death of officer in Iraq, says disease to blame.

In a dispatch posted at 11:29am Baghdad time Wednesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Poland had admitted that one of its officers had been killed in Iraq.

The AMSI reported Polish military sources as saying that a major in the Polish army died of a disease on Tuesday.

Mysterious attacks in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:41am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two bombs that had been planted on a road in southeastern Baghdad exploded killing at least six persons on Wednesday, the puppet police reported.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet police as adding that five more people were injured in the unexplained attack that took place in the al-Amin neighborhood of occupied Baghdad.
