Sectarian murder spree continues: 15 more bodies found dumped in various parts of Baghdad on Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:56am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet police recovered the bodies if 15 victims of sectarian murder in various parts of Baghdad on Saturday according to a source in the puppet “Iraqi Ministry of the Interior.”
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 11 of the bodies were found in the Baghdad district of al-Karakh. Most of the dead are Iraqi Sunnis who were abducted and killed by the Shi‘i sectarian militias in their effort to implement the sectarian partition of Iraq in accordance with plans drawn up by Zionist and American think tanks.
Efforts to split Iraq along religious and ethnic lines are part of the plans that US and Zionist politicians have long been cultivating with a view to fragmenting the Arab region.
The idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veteran Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)
The idea of splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”
The American version of the strategy for a partition of Iraq appeared in the article “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003 by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations). The same idea was reiterated, this time with “bi-partisan support” in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006.
Then on 8 October 2006 the London Sunday Times reported that the partition of Iraq along religious and ethnic lines was one of the suggestions that the Baker-Hamilton commission was advancing.
US arrests about 20 local residents in Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district Sunday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Baghdad time Sunday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US occupation troops accompanied by their puppet army allies carried out mass arrests on al-Munazzamah Street in the Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah on Sunday morning.
The AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that the US and puppet armies raided houses and arrested about 20 local residents on al-Munazzamah Street in the area without stating the reasons for the raid.
The sweeps are based on US claims that there are Resistance fighters in al-‘Amiriyah. For that reason the district has been under a strangulation blockade for some time.
Humanitarian crisis looms in walled-off al-A‘zamiyah as American lockdown of the neighborhood endures its fourth day.
In a dispatch posted at 10:28am Baghdad time Sunday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US forces together with their puppet Iraq regime allies are keeping the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah sealed off for the fourth day in a row.
The AMSI reported residents of al-A‘zamiyah − which the Americans walled off from the rest of the city several weeks ago − as saying that no vehicles have been allowed to enter or leave the district. The Americans are also preventing deliveries of food and humanitarian goods − a ban that has now resulted in a growing humanitarian crisis in the city.
The residents also said that the Americans posted snipers atop buildings in al-A‘zamiyah making it too risky for people to walk the streets. As a result normal city life has largely been paralyzed within al-A‘zamiyah. Sick persons cannot be taken to hospital because the snipers are likely to open fire on them
School students were also banned from taking their final exams due to the American blockade of the neighborhood, causing them to lose an entire academic year of schoolwork.
When local residents went to the US and puppet forces to try to find out what the reason for the blockade was and when the Americans would lift it, they were simply told that when the local residents “turned in terrorists” the blockade would end
US admits two more American troops killed in Iraq on Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:29am Baghdad time Sunday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the US occupation forces announced Sunday morning that two more of its soldiers had been killed in occupied Iraq Saturday.

Then on Sunday the American command admitted that fighters armed with light weapons attacked a US patrol in southern Baghdad on Saturday, killing one American soldier. A second American statement issued Sunday announced that one of the US special forces soldiers died in what it claimed was a “non-combat” incident. The American statement provided no further details regarding the attack.

The AMSI reported that the US military admitted that in the campaign it has been waging for five days together with puppet troops in Ba‘qubah they had also conducted intensive attacks on houses, killing local residents and had carried out house-to-house raids in which they arrested inhabitants as “suspects.”
The Americans backed up by the puppet forces blasted about 30 houses in the l-Katun area, destroying them over the heads of their inhabitants. Bodies of the victims of the latest American offensive are still buried under the rubble. Local people have been unable to bury their dead properly and have had to inter them in the yards around their houses. The intensity of the American shelling has also made it impossible for people to take the wounded to hospitals.
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Resistance bomb rips through US Humvee in al-Miqdadiyah Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:49am Baghdad time Sunday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted near the entrance to the al-Miqdadiyah market went off as a US patrol was driving past on Saturday.
The AMSI reported a source in the puppet security services as saying that the explosion destroyed a Humvee. No information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available because American and Iraqi puppet forces under helicopter gun ship air cover closed off the area after the blast.

The blast wounded several of the troops in the patrol. Afterwards, swarms of US helicopters flew in to prowl the skies over the area.

The correspondent for AMSI in al-Mada’in reported that US forces shelled houses in the areas of ad-Dar‘iyah and ad-Diwaniyah starting Saturday and continued blasting them until Sunday morning. The barrage set groves in the area ablaze.
The intense American bombardment was targeted on residential areas and prompted a major exodus of residents who fled their homes hoping to find greater shelter in the center of the district.
US forces blast areas around al-Mada’in Saturday night.
In a dispatch posted at 8:58am Baghdad time Sunday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US artillery and helicopters blasted the ad-Dar‘iyah area of southern al-Mada’in, about 25km southeast of Baghdad on Saturday night

The Americans also arrested six people, two of whom they later released. US troops also arrested a local woman whom they held for four hours searching her the way that they usually search men. Then, following negotiations with local notables and tribal leaders, the US forces finally let her go.
The Americans also killed one local person in the ad-Diwaniyah area of al-Mada’in in the course of a heavy bombardment on that area.

The American statement claimed that the prisoner died of a heart attack.
