Al-Anbbar Province.
Al-Fallujah.

Resistance truck bomber blasts puppet police station Thursday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 9:50am Baghdad time Friday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden truck into the headquarters of the puppet highway police 8km south of al-Fallujah − which is 60km west of Baghdad − on Thursday evening.

The AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet police building was afterwards observed on fire.

A source in the puppet “Interior Ministry Intelligence Service” in al-Fallujah reported that a Kia car entered the puppet police headquarters as one of the puppet police patrols was returning to base. The attacking truck was apparently loaded with gas cylinders at the time of the attack, to which ambulances and fire trucks responded. The source said that as of the time of reporting, they still did not know how many of the puppet policemen had been killed in the blast.

Baghdad.

US admits five more Americans killed in Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 2:56pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military admitted that four of its special forces troops had been killed and a fifth wounded in two separate Resistance attacks in occupied Iraq on Thursday. The US also said that another American soldier died in Iraq on Wednesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a US communique´ as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near a bus carrying American special forces troops who were engaged in operations in Kirkuk in northern Iraq. The Thursday blast killed three of the American troops and wounded a fourth, the US statement announced.

In a second declaration, the American occupation command admitted that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with small arms had killed another member of the same US unit somewhere in Diyala Province on Thursday. In keeping with the American practice of concealing facts regarding US losses in Iraq, the military statement offered no further details such as where in the 17,685 square kilometers of Diyala Province the soldier was killed or why troops from the same American special forces unit were reported killed in two different Iraqi provinces that are not even adjacent to each other.

In a later communique´ the Americans reported a fifth American soldier had died in Iraq on Wednesday of what it claimed were “non-combat causes.”

Resistance fighters blast US tank in attack in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 9:50am Baghdad time Friday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US patrol as it passed near the Mosque of Abu Hanifah an-Nu‘man in the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah on Thursday afternoon.

The AMSI reported a source in the puppet “Iraqi Ministry of the Interior” as saying that the Resistance fighters set an American tank in that patrol ablaze. The source said that the Americans responded to the attack with intense gunfire that killed three people who just happened to be nearby at the time of the attack.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Balad.

US admits F-16 fighter-bomber crashes near Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:55pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military admitted Friday that one of its F-16 warplanes had crashed in the area of Balad, about 70km north of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a US communique´ as saying that the American fighter-bomber, a part of the 33rd Squadron, crashed in the area of the US airbase near Balad with one man aboard. The American statement said that the plane crashed while engaged in air support activities.

Diyala Province.
Al-Miqdadiyah.

Resistance bombs destroy two US military vehicles in al-Miqdadiyah area.

In a dispatch posted at 5:44pm Baghdad time Friday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by US military vehicles in the al-Miqdadiyah area, 85km northeast of Baghdad.

The AMSI reported Captain Muhammad ‘Ali of the puppet police as saying that a Resistance bomb that had been planted in the al-‘Askari neighborhood went off by a passing American patrol, destroying one of the US vehicles. Then a second bomb exploded in the Balwar area, destroying another Humvee.

The puppet police source offered no information on the nature or extent of American casualties, because US forces quickly closed off both scenes and imposed curfews in the area in order to conceal the extent of damage.

In a dispatch posted at 7:05pm Baghdad time Friday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi ‘ sectarian gunmen set fire to the as-Salam Sunni mosque in the al-‘Izzi area to the east of al-Miqdadiyah, 85km northeast of Baghdad, on Friday afternoon.

The AMSI reported a source in the puppet regime as saying that the pro-Iranian sectarians burned down the mosque and everything in it, in one more of the Shi‘i sectarian attacks that erupted throughout Iraq following the suspicious bombing of the Shi‘i Shrine of the Two Imams in Samarra’ on Wednesday, 13 June. That attack signaled the start of another massive wave of sectarian “cleansing” aimed at driving Sunnis out of vast areas of southern and central Iraq with a view to partitioning the country.

AMSI reported the source in the puppet regime as saying that in addition to burning down the Sunni Mosque of as-Salam, the Jaysha al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian gunmen also threatened Sunni residents in the area, prompting many families to leave for fear of their lives.

Efforts to split Iraq along religious and ethnic lines are part of the plans that US and Zionist politicians have long been cultivating with a view to fragmenting the Arab region.

The idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veteran Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)

The idea of splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”

The American version of the strategy for a partition of Iraq appeared in the article “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003 by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations). The same idea was reiterated, this time with “bi-partisan support” in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006.

Then on 8 October 2006 the London Sunday Times reported that the partition of Iraq along religious and ethnic lines was one of the suggestions that the Baker-Hamilton commission was advancing.

Al-Basrah Province.
Abu al-Khasib.

Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in al-Basrah follow up bombing in Samrra’ with sectarian attacks in effort to purge southern Iraq of Sunnis and partition the country in keeping with Zionist and US plans.

In a dispatch posted at 12:38pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that about 15 people were wounded when Shi ‘ sectarian militias unleashed a mortar barrage on the predominantly Sunni neighborhood of Abu al-Khasib near al-Basrah in southern Iraq at dawn on Friday.

Several residences in the area suffered heavy damage when Shi‘i sectarian militias, taking their cue from the suspicious bombing of the Shi‘i Shrine of the Two Imams in Samarra’ on Wednesday, 13 June, fired 19 mortar shells on the Sunni neighborhood. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam also reported that the bombardment damaged the Bab Sulayman Mosque in the area.

The correspondent added that in another incident in Abu al-Khasib, Shi‘i sectarian gunmen opened fire on a private car in which a Sunni family were riding. That sectarian attack killed the entire family − a man, his wife, and their two children, eyewitnesses reported.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian militias blew up the tomb of Talhah ibn ‘Ubaydillah, in az-Zubayr, 12km west of al-Basrah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the sectarians planted explosives that set off a massive explosion totally destroying the Sunni holy site. Talhah ibn ‘Ubaydillah was a companion of the Prophet Muhammad who is held in high esteem by Sunnis. Witnesses reported that the tomb, including the three domes above it, was destroyed ant that the minaret attached to the building crashed to earth as a result of the blast.

Shi‘i sectarian militias attack tomb of Anas ibn Malik in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 9:22pm Baghdad time Friday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militiamen, having blown up the tomb of Talhah ibn ‘Ubaydillah, proceeded to attack the precinct of the tomb of another companion of the Prophet Muhammad, Anas ibn Malik, in an apparent attempt to blow up that Sunni shrine as well.

The AMSI reported sources in the puppet police in al-Basrah as saying that a gunbattle was underway in the area of the tomb of Anas ibn Malik.
