Al-Anbar Province.
Kubaysah.

Sniper perches, watchtowers to adorn earthen wall US troops are building to seal off Kubaysah from outside world.

In a dispatch posted at 12:47pm Baghdad time midday Thursday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US forces were still busy constructing an earthen wall around the city of Kubaysah, 185km northwest of Baghdad, a project they had begun early Wednesday morning.

The AMSI reported that the Americans had closed off all the roads leading to Kubaysah except for one main one that connects the city to the nearby city of Hit.

A source in the puppet security forces in Kubaysah said that the wall was to “protect the town from armed groups.” The source said that the Americans were going to erect watch towers and sniper nests along the earthen wall as well.

Baghdad.

US admits four more of its troops killed in Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 7:31pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military had admitted that the Iraqi Resistance had killed four more of its occupation troops in Iraq during the last two days.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the US communique´ as announcing that the Iraqi Resistance shot to death one American soldier and a second American was killed in a Resistance bomb attack in Diyala Province on Wednesday. In keeping with the standard American practice of concealing facts about its losses in Iraq, the US communique´ provided no further details about the circumstances of the deaths, such as where in the 17,685 square kilometers of Diyala Province those deadly attacks took place.

Another Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in “one of the eastern neighborhoods of Baghdad” the Americans vaguely admitted, killing a third US soldier.

The US statement went on to say that another Resistance bomb exploded by a US vehicle near Bayji, which is about 200km north of Baghdad in Salah ad-Din Province. That attack left a fourth American soldier dead, according to the US declaration.

Shi‘i sectarian militias backed by puppet army forces assault Sunni districts in Baghdad in effort to purge whole areas and partition Iraq.

In a dispatch posted at 10:56pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Shi‘i sectarian militia backed up by puppet regime troops attacked the area of ad-Dubbat in the al-‘Amil neighborhood of Baghdad on Thursday, following the withdrawal of Kurdish Peshmergah militia from the area. The Kurds had been put in charge of protecting the occupation regime in that district but were recently withdrawn because the US-backed Shi‘i sectarian regime had been unable to carry out attacks to drive Sunnis out of the area when the Kurdish forces were responsible for the district.

The AMSI reported that the Shi‘i sectarian militia equipped with light and medium arms and under the protection of puppet government forces which also supply the militia attacked the area on Thursday afternoon. The attack sparked a battle with local residents who rose in defense of their district and suffered casualties as a result.

After their first frontal assault ran into resistance, the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen then launched a second attack using mortars to bombard the neighborhood. That stage in the assault began after sunset Thursday. The residents of the beleaguered neighborhood are suffering from a shortage of medical supplies and first aid materials with which to treat the dozens of casualties they have suffered trying to defend their homes.

Witnesses reported that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen are trying to drive Sunnis out of all the districts of Baghdad. The Shi‘i sectarians are taking advantage of a much-heralded American “campaign” against the Jaysh al-Mahdi during which time the Jaysh al-Mahdi is in fact free to attack Sunni areas around the city with no American troops in sight.

As a result the districts of al-‘Amil, al-Bayya‘, and as-Sayyidiyah are witnessing an onslaught of Shi‘i sectarian militia attacks backed by puppet Iraqi regime troops. They have been attacking the mosques that serve as community centers in an attempt to shut them down, burn them down, or occupy them in order to force Sunnis out of whole sections of Baghdad.

Sectarian militia backed by regular puppet army troops assault Sunni as-Siddiq Mosque.

Earlier, in a dispatch posted at 1:11pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that at the time of reporting, Shi‘i sectarian militiamen backed up by puppet regime forces were assaulting the as-Siddiq Sunni mosque in the south Baghdad district of as-Sayyidiyah. Local residents were putting up a ferocious defense against the attackers.

The AMSI reported that the Shi‘i sectarian attack by militias and US-backed regime forces began at 11am Thursday morning in an attempt to seize control of the Sunni place of worship. Local residents rose to resist the American backed sectarian attackers, sparking a violent battle.

Witnesses reported that Shi‘i sectarian militias were backed by puppet regime troops in the attack, which is part of an effort to impose Shi‘i sectarian militia rule throughout the Iraqi capital in keeping with plans drawn up by Zionist and US think thanks to partition the country on sectarian and ethnic lines.

At the time of reporting, the local residents of as-Sayyidiyah were using every possible means to try to prevent the militias from getting to the mosque. Appeals had gone out for everyone to join the battle to prevent the advance of the puppet troops and Shi‘i sectarian militias.

AMSI noted that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia had seized control of two Sunni mosques − the Mosque of ar-Rahman and the Mosque of Fattah Basha in the al-Bayya‘ district of Baghdad − on Wednesday. The sectarian gunmen proceeded to burn down and destroy parts of those Sunni places of worship.

The idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veteran Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)

The idea of splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”

The American version of the strategy for a partition of Iraq appeared in the article “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003 by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations). The same idea was reiterated, this time with “bi-partisan support” in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006.

Then on 8 October 2006 the London Sunday Times reported that the partition of Iraq along religious and ethnic lines was one of the suggestions that the Baker-Hamilton commission was advancing.

Mysterious bombs explode in two parts of Baghdad Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 8:58pm Baghdad time Thursday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that two car bombs exploded in quick succession but in different parts of Baghdad on Thursday.

The AMSI reported media sources as saying that the first car bomb went off in the at-Talibiyah section of Baghdad near the Habayibuna Restaurant at noon. That blast killed three people and wounded 15 more in varying degrees.

The second car bomb blew up near the popular ‘Arabiyah Market in the Madinat ath-Thawrah district of Baghdad − a part of the city nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” after the American invasion in 2003 and now a stronghold of the Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia. Two people were reported killed in that explosion and an unknown number injured.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Samarra’.

Resistance fighters blow up building used by puppet “Shock Troops” as headquarters.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Baghdad time midday Thursday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance forces blew up a building used as a headquarters for the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) in the city of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad, on Thursday morning.

The AMSI reported a source in the puppet security forces as saying that Resistance fighters placed numerous explosives in the building that the puppet “Shock Troops” were using as their headquarters on the main road linking old Samarra’ with the new parts of town. The Resistance men then detonated the charges, blowing up the building. The sources said that the explosion totally destroyed the two-story building.

The bombing occurred after puppet “Shock Troops” had evacuated the building the night before in the wake of Resistance attacks three days ago that left nine of the puppet troops wounded.

Bayji.

US launches mass raids, searches near Bayji Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Baghdad time midday Thursday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported a source in the puppet security services as saying that US forces on Thursday began a campaign of massive raids and searches in the as-Siniyah area, 15km west of Bayji, which is located about 200km north of Baghdad.

Babil Province.
Al-Haswah.

Three Iraqi Resistance bombs target US, puppet police targets in al-Haswah Wednesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 11:52am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that three Iraqi Resistance bombs went off in the al-Haswah area, 33km south of Baghdad, on Wednesday night.

The AMSI reported a source in the local puppet police as saying that one bomb wnt off by a passing puppet police patrol in al-Haswah, wounding eight of the patrolmen, including the commander of the patrol.

The source said that a second bomb blew up late Wednesday night by a second puppet police patrol, killing two patrolmen.

The third bomb went off by a US patrol that had come out from Baghdad. That blast destroyed one of the Americans’ vehicles. The source said that he had no information on the nature or extent of US casualties in that attack.

Resistance bombs strike puppet police, US forces Wednesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 12:47pm Baghdad time midday Thursday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs had exploded in different areas north of Babil, about 100km south of Baghdad on Wednesday night.

The AMSI reported a source in the puppet security forces as saying that one bomb killed a puppet police commissioner when it went off on the highway near roadblock No. 42 in northern Babil Province Wednesday night.

The source said that a second bomb exploded near by when a column of transports hauling Humvees was driving past. That explosion destroyed one of the American transport vehicles.

Ninwa Province.
Rabi‘ah.

Resistance truck bomber blasts into puppet police headquarters in Rabi‘ah, killing at least five puppet policemen. Five Britons reported wounded in blast.

In a dispatch posted at 11:52am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that two vehicle bombers had struck targets in Rabi‘ah near the Syrian border, 450km northwest of Baghdad, on Thrusday morning.

The AMSI reported a press spokesman for the puppet police command of Ninwa Province as saying that the first vehicle bomb blasted into a pre-fabricated construction company in Rabi‘ah. The second truck bomb, he said blasted into the puppet police headquarters in the city causing casualties.

Then in a dispatch posted at 3:49pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported on the Iraqi Resistance truck bomb that had exploded by the puppet Administrative and Security Department in Rabi‘ah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Brigadier General Muhammad al-Wakka‘ of the puppet police as saying that a Resistance fida’i fighter stormed into the entrance of the puppet Administrative and Security Department with an explosives-laden truck at which time the puppet police opened fire on the vehicle and it exploded, killing nine and wounding 22.

The puppet police general said that five of the dead were puppet policemen and that 15 of the wounded were also members of the American-run police force.

Mafkarat al-Islam reported the British news agency Reuters as saying that among the wounded are five Britons who were evacuated for medical treatment. It was not immediately clear what they were doing in a puppet regime building in northwestern Iraq, but there are many British mercenaries at work serving the occupation in various parts of the country.

In a dispatch posted at 9:52am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US occupation troops opened fire on an Iraqi family in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Wednesday afternoon.

The AMSI reported a press spokesman for the puppet police command of Ninwa Province as saying that a mother, father and their five-year-old boy were wounded when an American patrol suddenly opened fire on the car in which they were riding. The press spokesman claimed that the Americans shot up the car because it was driving on the wrong side of the street. The victims were hospitalized for treatment.
