The AMSI reported a puppet regime spokesman as saying that at least eight mortar rounds blasted into the “Green Zone” after noon on Saturday, but as usual the US released no information regarding the nature or extent of casualties.
Quds Press reported that air raid sirens wailed inside the “Green Zone” compound as US helicopter gun ships took off to search for the attackers. Clouds of smoke could be seen rising from near the US embassy inside the compound.
Pro-Iranian puppet “Health Minister,” notorious follower of Muqtada as-Sadr, receives asylum in USA.
In a dispatch posted at 7:33pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that sources in the Iraqi puppet regime have disclosed that former puppet “Iraqi Minister of Health,” ‘Ali ash-Shamari, who is a follower of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr, has sought and received asylum in the United States.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that ash-Shamari had been granted “temporary asylum” in the US after receiving death threats from what are described as “corrupt employees” of the puppet “Health Ministry.”
The puppet “Health Ministry” when under ash-Shamari’s control, was notorious for its sectarian allegiance to the Jaysh al-Mahdi. Under ash-Shamari reputedly utterly unqualified individuals, known only for their loyalty to Muqtada as-Sadr, were placed in charge of all hospitals and medical establishments throughout the country.
The Iraqi puppet regime newspaper as-Sabah reported Saturday that the US Immigration and Naturalization Service had granted ash-Shamari right of temporary refuge under a new program that allows for circumventing routine obstacles in the way of certain immigrants so as to grant temporary asylum to collaborators coming from Iraq. As-Sabah reported that a US government official accompanied ash-Shamari last week to a New York airport. He has been granted temporary asylum in response to his request for permanent residence in the US as a political refugee.
The newspaper offered no information regarding the reason for ash-Shamari’s request, but the head of the Iraqi Red Crescent Organization, Isma‘il Haqqi, stated that ash-Shamari received death threats after firing a number of “corrupt employees” of his “Minstry.”
Ash-Shamari was one of six “Ministers” from the pro-Iranian Shi ‘ sectarian Muqtada as-Sadr movement who resigned from the puppet government on 16 April to protest the activities of the Shi‘i sectarian government, which is largely run by Shi‘i sectarian rivals of Muqtada as-Sadr an his men.
Pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen hold celebrations where they execute 20 youths in western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:15pm Baghdad time Saturday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a unit of the Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia has killed off a number of youths in the Baghdad neighborhood of al-‘Amil in an operation that began on Monday, 21 May and was still underway on Friday,.
The AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that the killings have been carried out in “retaliation” for a car bombing in the area.
In the course of their operation the Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarians kidnapped about 20 youth from the area and executed them amidst celebrations at which the sectarian gunmen chanted sectarian slogans and threatened residents of the neighborhood with extermination.
US admits three more of its troops dead in Iraq.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military had admitted Saturday that three more of its occupation soldiers had been killed in various Resistance attacks in Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an American communique´ as announcing that an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of the road somewhere in Diyala Province exploded at 6:30pm Friday afternoon, killing one US soldier. In keeping with Washington’s policy of concealing facts regarding its losses in Iraq, the communique´ provided no details as to where in the 17,685 square kilometers of Diyala Province the attack occurred.
The communique´ indicated, however, that Iraqi Resistance forces equipped with light arms battles US troops somewhere in Baghdad, killing one US soldier.
And finally, the American statement claimed, a US Marine was killed in what it called a “non-combat incident” somewhere in al-Anbar Province. Again, the US statement did not provide details about the time or circumstances of that death, nor specify where in the 138,501 square kilometers of al-Anbar Province the death occurred.

The AMSI reported sources in al-Miqdadiyah as saying that puppet “Iraqi National Guards” and Shi‘i sectarian militias, armed with various types of weapons, launched attacks from several directions on the villages of ad-Dawlab, al-Attafiyah, and al-Jaff.
The sources said that the attacks sparked battles between the villagers and the attacking puppet regime and sectarian militia forces. The attackers set fire to a number of residences in the villages, but no information on the nature or extent of damage or casualties was available.
