A number of Iraqi University Students demanded that
the Iraqi government set a time table for the withdrawal of
the Multi national forces from Iraq.

This demand was expressed in a conference organized by Iraqi student
organizations and unions in Al Mustanisiriya University.

Article 12 of UN Resolution 1546 calls for ending the occupation of Iraq
as soon as article 4 of the same resolution is met.
Article 4 was fulfilled by the elections, the voting on the constitution,
and by the formation of the Iraqi parliament and unity government.
Therefore there is no justification for the occupation of Iraq.

The steps that were taken by our students today are one of the most
important initiatives taken by the civil society to help us
in the Iraqi parliament.
Iraqi students unions are demanding that the government set a time table
for the withdrawal of the occupation forces, just like the tribes of
Al Furat Al Awsat and Journalists had done earlier.

these forces from Iraq or at least setting a specific time table.
