cuts off two minutes early.

Two soldiers were killed outright in this attack including the unit sergeant & another died several days later.
The unit was camped underneath the bridge's southern end & operated a check point on it.

Ten days prior to this attack the men of this unit were interviewed by a BBC crew & spoke mainly about boredom, & the oppressive heat.
The area under the bridge looked like a mini shanty town.
They did not seem at all the sort of arrogant, trigger happy, soldiers many vidoes on LL seem to highlight.
The sergeant was hispanic and very likeable.

The vehicle had twin windscreens & and plates of metal welded to protect the engine.
