The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local sources as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the strategic road specially reserved for oil transport, burned up and destroyed a US Humvee, killing or wounding all aboard.

After the attack, US troops arrested three people, claiming that they helped the Resistance fighter go up to a sniper perch in the ash-Shifa’ Commercial Building, which the Americans suspect was where the lethal bullet was fired.

The puppet police sources said that the Americans and their allies had arrested 157 local residents, most of them officers in the former Iraqi army, security services, and intelligence from before the US invasion in spring 2003. Later, the US occupation forces released 23 of the captives fo health reasons, but retained the remaining 134.
Baghdad.
Body of 18-year-old Sunni college girl abducted Monday by Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen recovered in “dreadful” state Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 10:59pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi puppet police had recovered the body of an 18-year-old Sunni girl who had been kidnapped on Monday by gunmen believed to belong to the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police who asked not to be identified as saying that the girl, Ilaf Muhammad ‘Umar, was abducted Monday as she returned home from the Dental College of the University of Baghdad in the Bab al-Mu‘azzam district of the occupied Iraqi capital. The source said that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen who kidnapped the girl were riding in a car belonging to the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir).” The abduction was reported three hours after the event by her family.
The girl’s body was found Tuesday in the Baghdad district of al-Baladiyat − formerly home to Palestinians resident in the Iraqi capital, but now a stronghold of the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia. The puppet police source refused to confirm whether the girl had been raped but described the condition of the body as “dreadful.”
The anonymous source blamed the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi for the abduction, noting that of late they had been using cars belonging to the US-backed “Iraqi Interior Ministry” in their attacks and murders.
The Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia, which is loyal to Shi‘i cleric Muqtada as-Sadr − who is tied to the conservative ruling faction in Tehran − has been actively involved for about a year and a half in massive operations aimed at terrorizing Sunnis out of whole swaths of central and southern Iraq in an effort to implement plans to partition the country. Those plans were originally worked out by Zionist strategists in occupied Palestine and further developed and popularized at the top echelons of the American government by Neo-Conservative think tanks.
The idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veteran Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)
The idea of splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”
The American version of the strategy for a partition of Iraq appeared in the article “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003 by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations). The same idea was reiterated, this time with “bi-partisan support” in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006.
Then on 8 October 2006 the London Sunday Times reported that the partition of Iraq along religious and ethnic lines was one of the suggestions that the Baker-Hamilton commission was advancing as a modified version of the Neo-Conservative partition formulas.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the puppet police as saying that four mortar shells landed on the campus of Ibn al-Haytham College, a branch o Baghdad University, killing five students and wounding 25 others. The attack, thought to be the work of Shi‘i sectarian militias cooperating with the US occupation, also inflicted material damage on college buildings.

Pro-American Shi‘i sectarian leader in Tehran for cancer treatment.
In a dispatch posted at 4pm GMT Tuesday, Quds Press reported a source in the Shi‘i sectarian Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council (SIIC) (formerly known as the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq [SCIRI]) has moved to Tehran to undergo medical treatment for lung cancer.
A medical statement issued by Rida Jawad Taqi, a leader of the Shi‘i sectarian “Iraqi Alliance” in the puppet “Iraqi Parliament,” said that ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Hakim was in Tehran undergoing medical treatment aimed at isolating the cancer in his lung. The source said that cancer had affected part of al-Hakim’s lung and that the disease was spreading to other parts of his body.
The source said that the Tehran treatment was aimed at isolating and wiping out the cancer and that doctors there had “great hope” that he would be cured.
Al-Hakim spent two days undergoing tests in the United States a few days ago prior to flying to Tehran for treatment for his condition.
The armed wing of the SIIC, the 30,000-man Badr Brigades, who received military training for years in Iran prior to the US invasion of Iraq, joined the American army for the occupation of the Iraq in 2003 and then formed the backbone of the puppet security services upon whom the US occupation relies for interface with the Iraqi population.

Iranian military bombard Iraqi border villages in predominantly Kurdish area early Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20 GMT Tuesday, Quds Press reported a source in the pro-American Kurdish separatist Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) as saying that fierce fighting between that organization and Iranian military forces broke out on Tuesday morning along the Iraq-Iran border.
A source in the PUK announced that Iranian forces early on Tuesday shelled a number of villages and settlements in the Hajj ‘Umran area on the Iraqi side of the border. Then the Iranian military forces proceeded to clash with members of the PUK, but no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.
The source confirmed that a heavy shelling of Iranian rockets and missiles pounded a number of villages along the border and that there were dead and wounded as a result.
Quds Press noted that this was not the first time that Iran had bombarded border areas in northern Iraq on the pretext of chasing PUK fighters who, it claimed, were also active in Kurdish areas of Iran.
The PUK is headed by Jalal Talibani, the US appointed puppet “President” of occupied Iraq.
