Doctors, staff at al-Fallujah Hospital declare strike to protest rampage by puppet police in which doctors, employees were beaten and hospital property destroyed, on pretext that Resistance fighters were allegedly receiving medical treatment.

In a dispatch posted at 9:27pm Baghdad time Thursday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a medical source as saying that the doctors and other medical staff working in al-Fallujah Hospital declared a strike beginning Thursday. The action is to last until further notice and is in protest against an attack by the “al-Anbar Salvation Council” puppet police on the hospital and the staff working there. The AMSI reported one of the doctors as saying that “all the doctors, employees, and administrators have declared a strike Thursday and until further notice.”

The doctor, who refused to reveal his identity, reported that the action was a response to the attack by the US-installed puppet regime’s police and the “al-Anbar Salvation Council” puppet militia police in which they beat up doctors and hospital employees. The puppet police also broke open doors and smashed window glass, as well as some beds in the hospital wards. The puppet police justified their rampage through the hospital by claiming that the doctors and staff there were providing treatment to Iraqi Resistance fighters.

Baghdad.

Sectarian killing spree continues: 30 bodies found dumped in various parts of Baghdad Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:38pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that puppet police recovered the bodies of 30 murder victims dumped in various parts of Baghdad on Thursday.

The AMSI reported puppet police sources as saying that 25 of the bodies were found in various parts of the al-Karakh district of the occupied Iraqi capital － four of those in ad-Durah and al-‘Amil, three in al-Jihad, two in al-Ghazaliyah, two in as-Sayyidiyah, two in ash-Shu‘lah, two in al-‘Adl, and four in al-Bayya‘. The five bodies found outside of the al-Karakh area were recovered as follows: two from Jurf an-Naddaf, one from al-A‘zamiyah, and two from al-Jumhuriyah Street, and another from Palestine Street. The source said that most of the bodies had been shot to death.

US admits Resistance mortar attack in at-Taji damaged or destroyed 10 helicopters Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 6:55am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces mounted a mortar attack on the US base in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji, destroying one American helicopter and damaging nine others in an attack that took place on Sunday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a US military official in Washington as saying on Wednesday night that the attack also wounded four American occupation troops.

Resistance blasts puppet “Shock Troop” headquarters with mortars Sunday afternoon.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 3:54pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units fired five 60mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah at 7pm Sunday afternoon, 13 May 2007. The shells scored direct hits on the facility. The communique´ reported that when a patrol came out of the puppet headquarters in response to the attack, Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons pounced on it, killing two of the “Shock Troops.”

Resistance mortars blast puppet army headquarters Sunday morning.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:53pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units fired three heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet Iraqi army in the al-Bayya‘ district of Baghdad at 11am local time, Sunday, 13 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the shells scored direct hits on the headquarters.

Resistance fighters kill puppet “Interior Ministry” lieutenant colonel Sunday morning.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:03pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of it special units killed a lieutenant colonel in the puppet “Interior Ministry” forces in the al-Qadisiyah neighborhood of Baghdad at 7:30am local time Sunday morning, 13 May 2007.

Resistance forces batter puppet “National Guard” facility Saturday afternoon.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:56pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units fired four 82mm mortar rounds into a headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in the western Baghdad district of ar-Ridwaniyah at 2pm local time Saturday afternoon, 12 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the barrage scored direct hits on the target, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance unit assaults puppet “Shock Troops” on Friday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:13pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units armed with light and medium weapons assaulted a concentration of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir),” after which it fired three 60mm mortar rounds into them, scoring direct hits and killing or wounding several of them. The attack took place in the Baghdad district of al-Kafa’at at 8:30pm Friday evening, 11 May 2007.

Resistance bomb destroys US armored vehicle, reportedly killing all aboard in al-Mushahadah, midday Thursday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:38pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineer units set off a bomb by a US armored vehicle in the al-Mushahadah area, 25km north of Baghdad at 1pm midday Thursday, 17 May. The communique´ reported that the blast totally destroyed the vehicle, killing all the Americans aboard.

Ad-Dujayl.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in pre-dawn hours of Thursday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:41pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineer units detonated a bomb by a US Humvee in the ad-Dujayl area, 55km north of Baghdad, at 2am, local time before dawn Thursday morning. The communique´ reported that the explosion totally destroyed the Humvee, killing or wounding all aboard.

Diyala Province.

Al-‘Azim.

Resistance attacks, destroys three truck hauling concrete barricades for US occupation authorities near al-‘Azim Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:39pm Baghdad time Thursday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked three trucks hauling cement barricades in the desert region near the city of al-‘Azim, 90km north of Baghdad, on Thursday morning. The AMSI reported that the attack left the drivers of the three trucks dead and the three trucks burned.

In another incident, men wearing the uniform of the puppet regime army set up a false roadblock in the al-‘Azim area Thursday afternoon. AMSI reported a mouthpiece of the puppet regime as saying that the men stopped a civilian car carrying travelers from Baghdad to Kirkuk and took all the occupants away to an unknown destination. The incident took place in the desert area near al-‘Azim.

Al-Mada’in.

Resistance bomb disables US military vehicle Monday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 6:28pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineer units set off a bomb by a US Humvee in the al-Mada’in area, 25km southeast of Baghdad at 4pm local time Monday afternoon, 14 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the blast disabled the vehicle.

Babil Province.

Al-Yusufiyah.

Resistance bomb reportedly destroys US Humvee, killing troops aboard on Sunday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 6:24pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineer units detonated a bomb by a US military vehicle on the highway in the al-Yusufiyah area, 30km southwest of Baghdad, at 9pm local time Sunday, 13 May 2007. The communique´ reported that the explosion totally destroyed the US vehicle, killing all the Americans aboard.

Ninwa Province.

Al-Mawsil.

Ten bombs, six car bombs target puppet police patrols in al-Mawsil Wednesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 9:45am Baghdad time Thursday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the Iraqi Resistance set off 10 bombs and six car bombs targeting puppet police patrols in various parts of the northern city of al-Mawsil on Wednesday night. The AMSI reported a spokesman for the puppet police command of Ninwa province as claiming that four puppet policemen were killed and 40 civilians wounded as a result of the bombs and car bombs and in the course of the fierce battles that erupted afterwards.

The spokesman said that the bomb s were targeted on puppet police patrols but that the dead puppet policemen were killed in the battles that followed the explosions. As the fighting broke out he puppet regime imposed a curfew in al-Mawsil making it impossible to ascertain any further details. The puppet police spokesman also claimed that puppet police patrols killed 15 Resistance fighters in the course of the Wednesday night battles.

Resistance mortars batter puppet police station Monday.

In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:48pm Thursday, 17 May 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its units fired five 28mm mortar rounds into a puppet police station also used by US occupation troops in the as-Siyafah area south of Baghdad at 5:30pm local time Monday afternoon, 14 May 2007. The shells scored direct hits on the target, the communique´ reported.

Al-Qadisiyah Province.

Ad-Diwaniyah.

Sniper kills Polish soldier in ad_Diwaniyah: third Pole killed in three days.

In a dispatch posted at 2:47pm Baghdad time Thursday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a sniper shot and killed a Polish occupation soldier in the town of ad-Diwaniyah, 120km south of Baghdad Thursday.

The AMSI reported a puppet security source as saying that the attack took place as a Polish patrol was driving in Area 60 at 10am local time Thursday morning. The Polish soldier took a direct hit in the head and died instantly. It was the third Polish occupation soldier to be killed by sniper bullets in ad-Diwaniyah in the past three days. Later, at 1pm midday Thursday, a sniper also killed a puppet Iraqi Army soldier near the 17 Tammuz Preparatory School in the al-Wahdah neighborhood of the city.
