Al-Anbar Province.
Al-Fallujah.
US soldier reported killed by Resistance sharpshooter in al-Fallujah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:56pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of southern al-Fallujah on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US force entered the neighborhood to carry out a search of a car repair garage on Wednesday morning. Then one of the soldiers, who had been standing near the door by a car under repair, suddenly collapsed dead on the ground, felled by a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet.
The witnesses said that half an hour later they saw the body of the soldier, who had died instantly, being evacuated from the garage in a plastic bag.
After the attack, US forces started raiding houses in the area and beating up and arresting youths. In all 11 young people were arrested in the neighborhood after the attack.
Al-Hadithah.
Resistance blasts US headquarters in al-Hadithah with Katyusha rockets early Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 5:34pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance had fired two Katyusha rockets into the former al-Hadithah Education Directorate building − a facility that US occupation forces took over about a year ago and turned into a local headquarters.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police Captain ‘Ali Makhlaf al-Lahibi as saying that at about 6:30am local time Wednesday morning one Katyusha rocket slammed into the US-occupied facility and then about five minutes later another rocket blasted into the headquarters. The attack left several Americans dead or wounded and inflicted heavy damage on the building, Catpain al-Lahibi said.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance mine disables US armored vehicle, wounding four Marines.
In a dispatch posted at 4:39pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded by a US armored vehicle in the al-Mal‘ab neighborhood of downtown ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an officer in the puppet police as saying that the attack disabled the vehicle and wounded four Marines who were aboard it, one of those being severely injured.
The source said that the explosion started a fire in the engine of the vehicle, forcing the troops to use a water hose to put it out. It was the first Resistance attack on the Americans since the US and puppet tribal forces working with them took control of the center of the city.
Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.
Bodies of nine Sunnis arrested by puppet police on Monday found murdered in Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:54pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bodies of nine Sunnis who had been murdered were found dumped on an empty square in the at-Tahrir neighborhood of southern Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Ba‘qubah Hospital as saying that the victims all died of gunshot wounds to the head.
Relatives of the victims accused the local puppet police of killing their loved ones. All had been arrested at their homes by the puppet police on Monday, on suspicion of being members of al-Qa‘idah.
In a separate incident of the same type, gunmen driving a civilian car and wearing puppet “Iraqi National Guard” uniforms kidnapped Shaykh Sa‘dun at-Ta’i, the Imam of the as-Salam Mosque in the Ba‘qubah al-Jadidah district of the city. One of the mosque guards was also abducted.
Shi‘i sectarian militiamen make up the backbone of the puppet security forces put together by the US occupation troops after the occupation of Iraq in the spring of 2003.

Al-Mahmudiyah.
Mysterious car bomb explodes in al-Mahmudiyah Wednesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 4:43pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a car bomb exploded in the al-Mahmudiyah area, about 25km south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet police as saying that an explosives-laden car that had been parked near a popular market in al-Mahmudiyah blew up a short while earlier, killing or wounding 10 people, by preliminary count, and destroying a number of nearby shops.
Al-Qadisiyah Province.
Ad-Diwaniyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:08am Baghdad time Wednesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that four Katyusha rockets landed on US “Camp Echo” at the time when the puppet “Ministers of Defense and the Interior,” Jawad al-Bulani and ‘Abd al-Qadir al-‘Ubaydi were visiting the facility.
The AMSI reported a puppet security source who asked not to be identified as saying that four Katyusha rockets slammed into “Camp Echo” while the puppet “Ministers” were in the facility to hold meetings with the US commanders and the chiefs of the puppet military and security forces in the province.
The source said that the two puppet “Ministers” did not complete their tour with visits to the provincial government building and the ad-Diwaniyah puppet police headquarters as had been planned. Instead, they left the city Tuesday afternoon to rush back to Baghdad.
