Resistance mortars blast US headquarters in al-Fallujah Monday night.
In a dispatch posted at 2:24pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into the US headquarters in the middle of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad at 1pm Monday night. The AMSI reported a source in the puppet security forces as saying that the attack set off explosions inside the camp and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky. As of Tuesday afternoon, the Americans had made no statement on the attack.

Resistance pounds “Green Zone” with mortars twice in 12 hours.
In a dispatch posted at 10:15pm Baghdad time Tuesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a series of explosions had shaken the top-security area around the Republican Palace in Baghdad − the district that the Americans call the “Green Zone” for the second night in a row.
The AMSI reported a spokesman for the puppet regime − who asked to remain anonymous − as saying that six mortar shells landed in areas near the office of US-appointed puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki. The source said that one of the shells landed just 100 meters from al-Maliki’s office. There was no word on casualties. It was the second Resistance barrage on the “Green Zone” in less than 12 hours, another barrage having slammed into the same area late on Monday-Tuesday night.
Shi‘i sectarian militias bombard Sunni mosque in al-Jihad neighborhood at sunset Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 8:59pm Baghdad time Tuesday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that 10 mortar shells came crashing down on and around the Sunni al-Madinah al-Munawwarah Mosque in the ad-Dubbat area of the al-Jihad neighborhood of Baghdad around 7:45pm local time Tuesday evening. The AMSI reported that the shells blasted into the mosque and surrounding area just as the evening prayers were being said inside. Several worshippers were slightly wounded and window glass in the mosque was shattered in addition to other material damage. AMSI note that the mosque has frequently been attacked by Shi‘i sectarian militias intent on driving Sunnis out of Baghdad.
Shi‘i sectarian murders soar: 37 bodies found in 24-hours in US-occupied Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:14pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the puppet police had reported picking up 37 bodies of murder victims dumped in various parts of Baghdad during the previous 24 hours. Mafkarat al-Islam reported on Friday, 27 April that every day for many weeks the puppet police had been picking up 10-20 bodies of victims of the Shi‘i sectarian death squads who leave their victims tortured, bound, blindfolded and shot.
The Shi‘i sectarian militias, in particular the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi, have been working to drive Sunnis out of much of the country in order to facilitate plans to partition Iraq. The American “New Security Plan” and “Troop Surge” were imposed on Iraq ostensibly to curb just such torture and murder, but the number of victims has in fact increased over what it was several weeks ago.
Iraqi lawyers murdered after defending Saudi clients in occupied Iraq.
The Saudi daily newspaper al-Watan reported in its Tuesday issue that two Iraqi lawyers who represented Saudi clients in Iraq had been murdered. Correspondent Muhammad ash-Shahri wrote that Thabit Fahd, the attorney who represents the Saudi citizen Usamah Muhammad ‘Abd ar-Rahman; and another who represents the Saudi Sulayman Hamdan Salih had been killed. Usamah ‘Abd ar-Rahman had been sentenced to 15 years in prison on the charge of entering occupied Iraq illegally. Sulayman Salih was given life in prison on charges of having entered occupied Iraq illegally and attacked US troops in what the American-backed Iraqi regime calls a “terrorist attack” on the occupation forces. Al-Watan offered no further details on the circumstances surrounding the murder of the two Iraqi lawyers.
Unknown armed men attack bus in Baghdad, killing 11.
In a dispatch posted at 10:12am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet police had announced that unknown armed men had opened fire on a bus in Baghdad, killing 11 people including women and children. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack came one day after a man wearing an explosive belt blew himself up at a Shi ‘ funeral in the town of al-Khalis, 57km north of Baghdad, killing 32 people and wounding some 60 more.

Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet policeman in Samarra’ Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:24am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a puppet policeman in Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad, on Tuesday. The AMSI reported that puppet security forces were carrying out intense raids and attacks in the area.
Resistance bomb destroys puppet police vehicle Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:24am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near a patrol that was stopped in the vicinity of the tomb of the Imam ‘Abd al-Hadi. Two patrolmen were wounded and the vehicle they were driving was destroyed. The AMSI reported that afterwards, the puppet troops arrested a number of local residents who happened to be near the scene, the puppet police reported.
US, puppet forces arrest 10 in Samarra’ on Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:24am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that on Monday puppet regime troops backed up by US occupation forces carried out a campaign of raids and arrests of people they claimed belonged to the al-Qa‘idah Iraqi Resistance organization. A total of 10 local people were rounded up and taken away.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol in al-Mahawil.
In a dispatch posted at 2:14pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the al-Mahawil area, about 60km south of Baghdad. The AMSI reported the puppet police as claiming that the blast killed one civilan.

Four Sunnis murdered while on visit to relatives at US prison Camp Bucca.
In a dispatch posted at 12:22pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian militiamen killed four Sunnis who were visiting family members jailed in the American-run prison Camp Bucca in southern Iraq. The murder took place in the aftermath of a bomb attack on the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi strongold of al-Hayyan in al-Basrah on Monday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the four Sunnis were coming from the predominantly Sunni part of Iraq to visit their children being held prisoner by the Americans in Camp Bucca in the Safwan area near the frontier with Kuwait. The bodies of the victims were found near the az-Zubayr Bridge on Tuesday morning.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported relatives of prisoners being held by the Americans in Bucca as saying that coming to visit their loved ones is difficult and dangerous. Most of the prisoners are Sunnis and their relatives have to travel long distances from the Sunni parts of the country down to Camp Bucca. All along the route the puppet regime has posted checkpoints manned by Shi‘i sectarian militiamen who concurrently belong to the puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir),” who frequently kidnap and kill anyone with a Sunni name.

Resistance bomb targets US Humvee near al-Yusufiyah Sunday night.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:39pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineering detachments set off a bomb by a US Humvee on the highway in al-Yusufiyah, 30km southwest of Baghdad at 10pm Sunday night, 29 April 2007. The blast totally destroyed the Humvee, killing all the US soldiers aboard it, according to the communique´.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in al-Huwayjah.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:41pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineer units detonated a Resistance bomb by a US Humvee in the al-Huwayjah area in northern Iraq at 9:30pm local time Sunday night, 29 April 2007. The blast totally destroyed the Humvee, killing its crew, the communique´ reported.
Resistance fighters blast US Humvee with RKG-3 grenades.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:41pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that a detachment of its fighters struck a US Humvee with two flaming RKG-3 grenades in the al-Huwayjah area of northern Iraq. The grenades totally destroyed the US vehicle, killing or wounding all aboard.

British soldier reported killed in traffic accident in al-Basrah Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 8:27pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the British Ministry of Defence admitted that one British Royal Signals soldier had been killed in a “traffic accident” in the southern city of al-Basrah. Mafkarat al-Islam reported the British Ministry as saying that the soldier was riding a bicycle when he was involved in an accident. Though taken to a field hospital for treatment, he died of his injuries Tuesday.
British helicopter kills five members of Muqtada as-Sadr Shi‘i sectarian movement in al-Basrah Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:43pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a British helicopter fired on a gathering of people in the al-Hayyaniyah area of al-Basrah, a stronghold of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, killing five local members of the Muqtada as-Sadr movement. The cause of the incident was not known at the time of reporting.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a US military statement on Monday as saying that a bomb exploded in the al-Hayyaniyah area in the northwest of al-Basrah, killing six persons and wounding seven more. The American military announced that the explosion most likely was the result of a bomb going off by accident in the course of its being transported from place to place. The British also announced that their headquarters in the city had come under rocket attack on Tuesday, but provided no information on any losses that might have resulted from the attack.
