In a dispatch posted at 3:05pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden cement mixer into the home of the puppet police commander in the city of Hit, 180km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police spokesman as saying that the fate of the puppet police commander, Hamid Ibrahim al-Jazza‘, was unknown.
Later, in a dispatch posted at 8:40pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that as of that hour, 19 people had been declared killed and 39 more wounded in the car bomb attack on the home of the puppet police commander, which was located in the al-Madani neighborhood of western Hit − a building that was under heavy security guard.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet police spokesmen as saying that those casualty figures were still preliminary, but that it had been established that among the dead were the brother of the puppet police chief, at least one of his other relatives, and numerous bodyguards.
The puppet police source said that the car bomb had actually been a Mercedes cement mixer truck loaded with white plaster that rammed into the wall surrounding the building and blew up. In addition to demolishing the puppet police chief’s house, the blast destroyed four other houses besides that of al-Jazza‘, killing those inside, according to the puppet police.
Tight security was immediately imposed on the scene of the attack and the one hospital in Hit has been jammed with bodies of the dead and wounded patients, most of them believed to be civilians. The puppet police declared that al-Jazza‘ himself, the presumed target of the attack, was not home at the time, but there have been other rumors and reports that he was in fact inside and that his fate remains undetermined.

The building is now occupied by US forces in the city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the deputy puppet police chief in al-Qa’im, Ahmad ‘Ali as telling the media that a massive explosion resulted when the rocket slammed into the building. ‘Ali said that the rocket had been fired from not far from the US-occupied facility. The source said that first indications suggest that the Americans suffered casualties in the attack since a number of their soldiers were transported out of the facility by helicopter to one of the US field hospitals shortly after the attack.
Al-Fallujah.
Islamic Party collaborator shot and killed in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:57 GMT on Friday, Quds Press reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a member of the collaborationist “Iraqi Islamic Party” in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad. The “Iraqi Islamic Party” was formed by members of the Muslim Brotherhood organization after the American occupation of Iraq in the spring of 2003. The party served as a sectarian representative of the Sunni community on the puppet “governing council” put together by US proconsul L. Paul Bremer and has cooperated with the occupation authorities ever since. The party takes part in the present puppet “government” through the Sunni-sectarian “Reconciliation Front” (“Jabhat at-Tawafuq”) which includes the Council of National Dialogue lead by Khalf al-‘Alyan, and the Congress of the People of Iraq, led by ‘Adnan ad-Dulaymi.
Baghdad.
Shi‘i sectarian torture murder spree continues: 26 victims’ bodies found Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 6:22pm Baghdad time Friday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that puppet police sources had disclosed that 26 bodies of unidentified persons had been found dumped in various parts of Baghdad. The AMSI reported the source as saying that the victims had been bound and blindfolded and shot to death, adding that the bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine morgue for identification.
For its part, in a dispatch posted at 5:36pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi puppet police recovered 14 more bodies of murder victims from various parts of Baghdad on Friday morning alone. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a spokesman for the puppet police as saying in a statement that the bodies belong to students and employees, but refused to specify where the bodies were found or what religious community they belonged to.
Mafkarat al-Islam noted that every day for many weeks the puppet police have been picking up 10-20 bodies of victims of the Shi‘i sectarian death squads who leave their victims tortured, bound, blindfolded and shot. The Shi‘i sectarian militias, in particular the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi, have been working to drive Sunnis out of much of the country in order to facilitate plans to partition Iraq. The American “New Security Plan” and “Troop Surge” were imposed on Iraq ostensibly to curb just such torture and murder, but the number of victims has in fact increased over what it was several weeks ago.
With al-A‘zamiyah nearly completely walled shut, US starts work to wall in residents of al-‘Amiriyah in western Baghdad.

Quds Press reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans have begun construction of the cement separation wall at the outskirts of al-‘Amiriyah in the direction of the airport around the neighborhood known as al-Iqtisadiyeen, and it extends to the area near the al-Jihad-al-‘Amiriyah Bridge in the area of the al-La‘ibeen neighborhood.
The witnesses said that US forces have been using heavy equipment and dozens of workers to erect concrete barriers one next to another, forming a wall around the district. A local source told Quds Press that just prior to the start of the project to erect the wall, US forces had swept through al-‘Amiriyah carrying out raids and arrests. In all 42 individuals, including community leaders and two of the most prominent Imams of local mosques were arrested in order to prevent demonstrations against the project to wall in the inhabitants of the district.
The Americans have announced that several other townships will also be walled up and put under constant surveillance by US forces. In a communique´ posted on its website on Friday, 27 April, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Army of the Rashideen announced that one of its units had fired a Tariq rocket into the US base set up in the former Equestrian Club in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah.
